My Wife Wants a Divorce by Red Little Fruit

Chapter 1126 You Don't Want to Be Mrs. Flint?

Julien suddenly clenched the cell phone.

If it were not hard enough, he would be able to crush it.

The McDaniel family actually dared to go to the old residence to bully his grandmother.

It seemed that his indulgence of the McDaniel family over the years had made them not even take his grandmother seriously.

Felicia didn't know what Julien was thinking, but she knew that he must be angry.

"Yes, Ms. Raines. They came to the old residence and attempted to use the Old Madam to accomplish their ends. They were just bullying the Old Madam!" Felicia said indignantly. Julien finally said in a cold voice, "Felicia, what happened during the meeting between the McDaniel family and my grandma? What did they say? Tell me all about it."

"Yes, Mr. Julien." Felicia nodded and then told Julien everything that had happened since the McDaniel family arrived at the old residence.

She didn't exaggerate the truth.

After all, she looked down on such behavior.

Furthermore, what the McDaniel family said to the Old Madam was already infuriating enough, so she didn't need to add fuel to the fire to make Julien even more disgusted with the McDaniel family. After listening to Felicia's words, both Julien and Sydney fell silent.

They had never thought that the McDaniel family would be so shameless that they tried to use the Old Madam to ease the tension between them and Julien.

Not only that, the McDaniel family approached the Old Madam for help, but instead of telling the truth, they distorted the truth.

They even went so far as to discredit Sydney in front of the Old Madam.

What they did was really disgusting.

"I see. Felicia, you and my grandma don't need to pay attention to the McDaniel family. In the future, don't meet them if they come again. I will handle everything." Julien's eyes narrowed dangerously and his voice was grim.

Felicia nodded. "Ok, Mr. Julien. Don't worry. I know what to do."

Julien said, "Uh-huh. How is my grandma doing now?"

"She is fine. Although the McDaniel family behaved shamelessly and spoke exasperatingly, fortunately, I had been accompanying the Old Madam, and I helped her distort, so she didn't get angry with them, and she's already asleep now," Felicia said as she glanced at the closed door behind her.

Julien and Sydney were then relieved.

"I'm glad Grandma's okay." Sydney patted her chest. "Felicia, it was lucky that Grandma had you by her side. Otherwise, it would be troublesome if she got angry with them."

Julien was noncommittal.

The Old Madam's current body couldn't undergo any stimulation at all.

Otherwise, she might even die on the spot.

Thinking that the McDaniel family had come and almost killed his grandmother tonight, Julien's hate for the McDaniel family deepened. He made up his mind to break with them.

"Mr. Julien, Ms. Raines, this time the McDaniel family did not achieve their purpose, so surely, they will not give up, and they will think of other ways to resolve their conflicts with you. After all, without your protection, they will sooner or later disappear from Port City's up-class circle, so you guys must be more careful. They will definitely cause trouble again," Felicia advised.

Sydney and Julien nodded.

"Don't worry, Felicia. We'll keep an eye out," Sydney said.

Julien didn't respond, but Felicia knew that what Sydney had said was what he meant.

"Okay." Felicia was relieved.

After that, the three said something else before hanging up the phone.

Julien's face, however, was still very gloomy.

Sydney poured a glass of water for him. "Are you still worried about Grandma?"

Julien took the glass. "No. I'm just blaming myself."

"Blaming yourself?" Sydney blinked, somewhat puzzled.

Julien pursed his thin lips coldly. "I used to think that the McDaniel family was my teacher's family, so I should help them. After all, I have the ability to do so, and they are in decline. Helping them is easy for me and it won't cause me any trouble. Thus, when they need my help in their business, I almost never refused. And in the first few years, they were well-behaved. They didn't use my name to do anything, so I felt easy about letting the McDaniel family develop under my protection. Later, the Flint Corporation got stronger and stronger, and I became busier and busier, so I didn't pay much attention to them over time." "So the McDaniel family gradually became arrogant while you didn't keep an eye on them, and in the end, they don't even respect your grandma. And Mr. McDaniel takes her as his junior." Sydney gave a smile of sarcasm.

Of course, she wasn't taunting Julien, but the McDaniel family.

The Old Madam was known to be the oldest of the older generation.

But Mr. McDaniel behaved haughtily in front of her.

If outsiders had seen that, they would have thought that Mr. McDaniel was Julien's grandfather and that the Old Madam was not Julien's grandmother.

"Yes, Grandma was humiliated due to me." Julien pressed his brow.

Sydney wrapped her arms around his and rested her head on his shoulder. "Even though you caused it, it was unintentional. After all, no one can predict the future. And you can't read everyone's mind, can you? So don't blame yourself too much. I believe Grandma won't be upset with you. If you can't let it go, let's go to the old residence tomorrow, accompany Grandma for a meal, and then apologize to her. What do you say?"

When Julien heard this, he stopped rubbing his brow, picked her up, and put her on his lap.

Sydney was startled and subconsciously hugged his neck.

After recovering herself, she slapped Julien's shoulder. "What are you doing? You scared me."

Julien let out a low laugh, his forehead against hers. "I'm happy, so I want to hug you."

"Why are you happy?" Sydney leaned into Julien's arms.

Julien stroked her soft hair. "Because you're willing to go with me to apologize to Grandma. I'm obviously the one who caused this, yet you're willing to take the blame with me, so I'm very happy." Sydney smiled at his words, "You said we were one, so we had to face everything together, didn't you? If you were me, you wouldn't let me face it alone, right?"

Julien's chin rubbed the top of her head. He didn't say anything.

"So how would I leave you alone?" Sydney hugged Julien's waist, slightly closing her eyes. "Besides, if Grandma is really angry and you go apologize alone, she probably won't forgive you... With me accompanying you, Grandma will go easy on you for my sake... So I'm doing it for your good."

Julien chuckled, "Thank you, Mrs. Flint."

Sydney's face flushed. "Who's Mrs. Flint? Don't talk nonsense."

Julien lifted her chin and lowered his eyes to her. "Oh, you're saying I'm talking nonsense? You don't want to be Mrs. Flint?"

"I..." Sydney was stumped.

If she said no, Julien would be angry.

Yet she was too embarrassed to say yes, and she didn't want to make it look like she was eager to be his wife.

So, she was in a dilemma.

Facing Sydney's silence, Julien knew what she was thinking.

Although he was happy that she didn't deny it, he was unhappy with her silence and shyness.

She was pretty when she was shy, but sometimes it gave him a headache, like now.
