Chapter 2207
Tremaine stood behind the servants, looming over them as he stared at them calmly.
The servants were frightened.
Everyone knew he hated people gossiping behind his back.
They were done for.
Just as everyone was anticipating his punishment, he walked away without saying a word.
Everyone was speechless.
They looked at each other, flabbergasted.
"I thought Mr. Tremaine would be mad at us, but he walked away without a word!"
"Yeah, this has never happened before!"
"I think I know why. It must be that Mr. Tremaine also thinks Ruth is an eyesore; that's why he didn't take action even when we talked bad about that woman." "That woman sure is on another level! She managed to make everyone hate her, including Mr. Tremaine. She will be doomed after the baby comes, for sure!" Tremaine didn't go to the President's Office that entire morning.
He had been secretly roaming Quartley Palace.
Wherever he went, he would hear talks of what had happened last night and that Ruth was indignant, planning to seduce Zorion again as though she told them herself. At noon, Tremaine and Madam Quartley had lunch together.
She heard of the discussion about Ruth from the servants and agreed to their words in front of him.
Despite knowing Tremaine hated such talks, Madam Quartley couldn't bear holding it to herself.
Although she said they would put everything behind since Ruth was due soon, she needed to vent her dissatisfaction.
"Tremaine, you should talk to your
brother; tell him not to look for Ruth anymore. Yuliana's already so miserable, worry something terrible will happen if she goes looking for that vixen." She couldn't help being worried, adding, "Even the servants are saying Ruth is scheming to seduce Zorion again, and we don't know what she will do."
When she got to this point, she lost
all appetite. "But since Ruthet
given birth, I can't justifiably her
Tremaine put down his cutleries all of a sudden.
"Grandma, I have some unfinished business. You can eat without me." He simply left at that.
For things to come to this point, there must be someone pulling the strings.
He already thought it was suspicious when Yuliana kneeled before Zorion the night before.
Then there were the rumors spreading across Quartly Palace earlier.
Rumors of the trio had long existed, but it had reached its climax that day.
He had a strong feeling.
A feeling that Yuliana and Qiana would be making their move that day.
With that, he returned to his study to make a call.
Ten minutes later, he received a call in reply.
A respectful voice sounded from the other end of the line, saying, "Mr. Tremaine, I've managed to trace back what, Madam Yuliana and
Qiana had been doing these fewx net
days. Madam Yuliana bought-a dagger when she was out on the fifth and had a chat with the store owner."
The discovery took Tremaine aback.
He quickly hung up and made his way to Yuliana's bedroom.
Had the incident really gotten Yuliana mad?! So much so that she was planning to harm herself?!
Just as he was about to push the bedroom door open, he paused his hands at the doorknob. Hold on!
Something didn't feel right!
