Chapter 16
Chapter 16
Oscar asked, “Are you her husband?”
“Uh–huh. May I ask who you are? Can you give the phone to Gigi? I have some important things to discuss with her.”
Oscar ignored his urge. “When did you get married, and how long have you known each other? Do you know that… she just broke up?”
The tone on the other end of the line remained flat. “Since Gigi didn’t tell you about our marriage, it’s unnecessary to let you know.
“So I can’t go against her decision. This is my obligation as her husband. What do you think?”
Oscar was merely a hothead who had just graduated.
He still had a tender and naive face like a puppy.
While on the other end of the line, it was a dormant beast. His fierce claws and teeth and sharp icy eyes were enough to tear any enemy.
Of course, he behaved gently and soberly at the moment.
So the person who was enraged was Oscar. “The reason why she didn’t tell me may be…”
“Oscar, what are you doing?”
“Oh, I was about to hang up the phone, but I accidentally answered and was talking to him.”
Giselle chuckled and said, “Thanks, let me talk to him. You should go dress up.”
Oscar reluctantly said yes, but his eyes were still fixed on Giselle.
Giselle had already turned around.
“Hymes? Why are you calling me at this hour?”
“You said this morning that the air conditioner upstairs didn’t seem to be working very well, so I bought a new one and reinstalled it. What time will you be home? If you come back late, I’ll go back early.”
Giselle was amazed at Hymes‘ attentiveness, and she froze for a long time before muttering, “It’s just not working so well, but we can fix it. Why did you
even buy a new one…”
She couldn’t help but remember what her mother used to say. Men were big spenders and never saved money.
They could find someone to fix it, but why bother to buy a new one?
She then thought of Hymes spending 20,000 dollars buying her a diamond ring in the mall that night….
She thought he really spent money like water.
She had to seize financial power at home.
A lot of thoughts had flashed through in a short time.
Giselle asked hesitantly, “Can you still return it? I don’t think it’s necessary to buy a new air conditioner.”
Hymes smiled. “If you just worry about money… I bought it at the staff price, and it’s cost–efficient.”
Giselle suddenly realized that it should be their employee benefits or something.
“Well, that’s good… I’m not busy today and will arrive home earlier. I’ll watch the installer do that.”

“Good.” Hymes‘ tone turned soft, “Are you working at this hour?”
“Yeah,” Giselle naturally replied to his question, “We are shooting videos. The boy who just talked to you is the Internet celebrity under my charge.”
“I will leave you to your work, then. See you at night.”
“OK, see you tonight.”
Hanging up the phone, Giselle found Oscar still standing there and staring at her with a weird look.
“What are you doing? Don’t loaf on the job! Go do your makeup!”
Oscar took a step forward and looked condescending. “When did you get married? Why don’t I know?”
“Why should I tell this to a boy?”
“I’ve graduated from college. I’m not a boy anymore!”
“You are still younger than me, whatever!”
Giselle shoved Oscar into the dressing room.
Oscar could only hold back the questions he wanted to ask.
Giselle didn’t notice Oscar’s subtle expression.

At Pino Capital.
The phone was placed on the table, and Hymes, with an obscure look and chilly eyes, was in a trance.
Leo stood by Hymes‘ side, and his legs were trembling.
Hymes just said the gentlest words with the coldest face..
What a weird and scary scene!
Leo witnessed the whole thing and was nearly scared to wet his pants.
Leo had been working for Hymes for so many years and had seen Hymes lose his temper..
When the other employees were afraid to tremble, Leo was able to keep calm because he was the First Secretary.
The entire staff of Pino Capital praised Leo for his strong anti–pressure ability.
Leo had also always been able to stay calm when Hymes was angry.
However, Leo’s fear just now went deep into his soul.
After a good while, Leo said cautiously, “Boss, the meeting at 6 pm…”
Hymes finially came back to his senses. He withdrew his gaze and said in a flat tone, “Tell them to finish the meeting within an hour.”
He had to get home and cook dinner for his wife.
Leo understood his boss‘ mind very well.
Walking out of Hymes‘ office, Leo couldn’t help but mutter in his heart, “He clearly missed Ms. Ostry and wanted to talk to her. But he even found such an

Leo didn’t expect that his boss would be this clingy. It was really incredible…
However, the guy who irritated his boss just now would be toast.
While Leo was still lost in his thoughts, he was called back.
He listened to Hymes‘ orders. “Go check out… the Internet celebrity named Oscar in Domino Media.”
“Yes!”
Sure enough, the guy named Oscar would be toast!
Leo shrugged and thought, “Poor guy! Why do you have to mess with Mr. Devil’s beloved?”

The video shoot was done quickly. The progress and efficiency made Giselle satisfied. It was almost time to get off work, and Giselle was about to leave.
in advance.
As the deputy director of the department, she had the right to leave early. Jenny wasn’t at her table, and Giselle was relieved.
Natasha went in the other direction, and they said goodbye to each other.
Oscar, however, followed Giselle to the metro station.
“You didn’t drive here today?”
“I’m responding to the call of green travel. Isn’t it good to take the metro?”
Giselle was puzzled. “But you have to transfer several times to get home, right?”
Although it wasn’t far, it was troublesome to transfer several times.
“I have nothing to do, anyway.” Oscar followed Giselle onto the metro. “Hey, tell me more about your husband. Why did you get married so soon?”
Giselle didn’t want to tell him more. “It… just happened.”
“When did you meet? And how?”
“Not long ago. On a blind date.”
“And then you got married so soon?”
“Yeah, that’s the thing.”
Oscar pursed his lips. “I should have…”
It was a bit noisy of the metro, and Giselle didn’t hear it clearly. “What?”
“Forget it.”
Oscar didn’t follow Giselle to get off.
She went straight home, and the people who installed the air conditioner almost arrived.
The installer said to Giselle with a smile, “This one is pretty good. I assure you that there will be no problem.”
“How much does this air conditioner… sell for?”

The installation said with a chuckle. “At least 2,800 dollars.”
“What’s the price… for the staff?”
