Chapter 109
Chapter 109
Giselle slept till burning daylight. She was still groggy when she opened her eyes, yawned and gave it a stretch. “Nothing like a good night’s sleep,” said Giselle leisurely.
“You got that right.”
A man’s low voice suddenly came beside Giselle, and she woke right up.
She stiffly turned her head, and saw a pair of deep, smiling eyes.
Hymes placed his head on his arm, and looked at her with a smile, “Sleep well? Sorry I burst in this morning. I didn’t bother you, did 1
“N–No… I slept okay. Giselle stuttered.
“Hmm. almost time for lunch. I had hoped to take you out for breakfast. They got it pretty good here; the steamed buns are pretty delicious…”
Hymes talked to himself, still not letting go of the arm around Giselle’s waist.
Giselle blushed. “Could you let go of me? I need to clean up first…”
“No rush.”
Hymes suddenly sounded pervert. Probably because he got bolstered sleeping together this morning.
He easily brought Giselle closer to him, lifted her chin and kissed her.
Giselle tried to resist. “Hymes, stop it. I haven’t cleaned my mouth yet…”
“It’s okay. You taste good.”
Hymes continued to kiss Giselle until she was out of breath. “Go ahead. We’ll lunch after you’ve cleaned up.”
Giselle felt her head spinning. She felt like she would have collapsed if she had not held on to the bathroom door.
Arrgh!
Her mind was screaming. Hymes just kissed her! And then…
Although they didn’t do anything more intimate than that, Hymes still crossed the line again in Giselle’s eyes.
More importantly, Giselle didn’t hate the feeling. At all.
Other than shyness, there was also this unfamiliar sense of goosebumps.
Came to think of it, maybe it was because she was looking forward to it.
Giselle came out of the wash, and saw Hymes already dressed up. He was in his casual wear, probably because he was not at work.
But even the stripes on his shirt lined out the muscles on his chest and arms. His shoulders were broad and his waist thin, a perfectly built body, like an upside–down triangle.
Giselle couldn’t help but look down on his straight and masculine legs.
What a long pair of legs, she thought to herself.
“What are you looking at?”
Chapter 109
Giselle blushed. “Are you really 62“?”
Hymes smiled curtly. “With my shoes on.”
“No wonder the long legs.”
Giselle put on some simple makeup, put her hair up, and changed into a dress that matched Hymes dark blue shirt.
The one–foot high heels made her even more seductive.
Hymes looked at Giselle, and his eyes darkened; he so wanted to hold her in his arms and make love to her….
Giselle had no idea what was on his mind, only that his gaze upon her made her uneasy, and she was looking for an excuse when the doorbell rang again.
Giselle thought it was Oscar, and went to open the door. Then….
“I got us a pretty good spot for some coffee, Mickey Blake’s voice came, “along with your favorite. Why don’t we….”
Mickey stopped in his tracks.
For he saw, after Giselle opened up, the man behind her with the freezing aura and a gaze with no end.
Hymes picked up Mickey’s aggressive look at him, and smiled. “Good morning, Mr. Blake.”
“What are you doing here?”
Hymes quickly walked beside Giselle, and placed his arm on her shoulders to hold her intimately close. “Well, I am Gigi’s husband, after all. With Mr. Blake here all of a sudden, I believe I am also entitled to visit my wife.”
Every word was like a blade piercing through Mickey. He grabbed his chest and panted, as if something was burning inside.
But there was nothing for him to say, for this was where they were right now. He lost Giselle, who then married someone
else…
Mickey finally squeezed out a smile. Then let us all lunch together…”
At that moment, Oscar got up as well. He casually tidied up his hair, and walked to the corridor in clothes popular amongst the young.
He was about to greet Giselle when he saw someone annoying, then another one that made him even more hostile.
Hymes lifted his chin a bit, and greeted him with a smile. “Hi. Oscar Timbers, I presume?”
Oscar replied with a fake smile. “You are Giselle’s husband.”
“That I am.”
Hymes stopped and looked at Giselle. “Let’s eat out. We need to get to the venue later on.”
“Of course, but… Giselle looked at Hymes and the other two men, and suddenly felt overwhelmed.
She had no idea how to deal with this kind of situation…
But Hymes did not pressure Giselle, and said to her gently, “We’re all off in the same direction. Let’s go to lunch together. You go to work in the afternoon. I’ll come to find you in the evening.”
“Sure. If it’s no trouble with you.”
“What trouble can it be? I came just for you, and my schedules are all with you.”
Chapter 109
Giselle’s eyes flashed with happiness. Very smooth.”
That’s what she said, but inside she felt warm and fuzzy, and especially delighted.
Mickey was going crazy with jealousy seeing the two of them so much in love. Yet he could only bury his thoughts in his chest and pout.
Oscar was also not that pleased, but he was only slightly disappointed compared to Mickey’s mixed thoughts of jealousy, unwilling, and regret.
But as they said. “Young men’s mood comes and goes quickly, and they snapped right back to normal.”
And now Oscar started to intentionally and unknowingly grill Mickey. “You’ve met Giselle’s husband before, right? Quite the good man, that one. I remember everyone in the company is now saying that she picked the right man to get married, and I believe that too, now that I’ve seen him. He’s quite the husband…”
Giselle and Hymes were walking a bit ahead of them. Mickey looked at their backs and gritted his teeth. “What’s that got to do with you?”
“Plenty. Giselle is my manager; of course I’m happy that she dumped that selfish, cheating prick, and found someone who held her in the highest regard.”
“Oscar!” Mickey looked at him coldly. “Keep your mouth shut. This has nothing to do with you. Mind your own business!”
Oscar looked back in surprise, and asked rhetorically, “Why so angry, Mr. Blake? Or was it that you regretted your past. relationship, and you’re still trying to win her back?”
