Chapter 101
Chapter 101
It meant….
Kila hastily stopped these bad thoughts, but her heartbeat was indeed getting faster and faster.
From a distance, they saw the dignified handsome man standing on the side of the road with no expression.
After getting in the car, Neville naturally had to sit in the back row.
Thus, it was logical for Kila to sit next to Neville.
Although the SUV was interiorly spacious, it was a kind of narrow environment after all.
Feeling Neville’s breath approaching, out of worship for Neville, Kila’s heartbeat began to quicken at random, unable to stop.
Like a runaway horse.
Giselle knew that Kila was probably excited and nervous at the moment. Though Kila was absolutely calm and composed ar work, it was impossible for her to be indifferent right now.
So Kila took the initiative to start the conversation, “Mr. Desmund, are you busy recently?”
“Not so busy.”
Neville was even less talkative than Hymes, which made Giselle very puzzled.
How did Kila become friends with Neville through work?
Besides, Neville was quite a terrific lawyer.
If one employed Neville to defend him, even black could turn into white…
Hymes focused on driving, but did not forget to remind Neville, “Neville, I will leave all the barbecues to you today.”
Neville raised his eyebrows. “Why me? What did you learn cooking for?”
Hearing this, Giselle felt puzzled again and asked, “Did you specially learn cooking from a chef?”
Hymes shot a cool glance at Neville in the rearview mirror, warning Neville not to say something wrong.
Neville shut his mouth.
“I know a few chefs and learned a little from them.”
Hymes didn’t spell it out, and Giselle had no way of knowing that in order to make food satisfying Giselle, Hymes invited. top chefs of different kinds of cuisine to Hymes‘ house.
Hymes studied for more than a month and learned all kinds of cooking thoroughly.
Moreover, Hymes specially read lots of recipes and nearly became a half–expert.
If the other people of the Giles Family knew that Hymes spent so much effort learning cooking only in order to cook for
Giselle…
They would think it was a joke and never take it seriously.
In their eyes, Hymes was never a man to do such things.
But Hymes did do it, and he never got tired of it, enjoying the process of cooking delicious food for Giselle.
Chapter
“Actually, I know how to barbecue.” Kila raised her hands quietly, “You can leave it to me later!”
“How can we leave it to you alone? You will be very tired by yourself”
“Let Neville help you.” Hymes followed and assigned the task to Neville after all
Neville didn’t refuse this time and nodded in agreement.
Kila glanced at Neville secretly, thinking that she was about to harbecue with her idol, and felt ups and downs again.
Kila couldn’t wait to post on Instagram to show the world that her dreams had come true and that she was so close to her idol.
“What cases have you been in charge of recently? Are you busy?”
As soon as Kila heard Giselle’s question, Kila perceived that Giselle was intentionally seeking topics for her and quickly said, “Not so busy. Just a few divorce cases, involving some property division issues.”
“What about Mr. Desmund?” Giselle asked slowly with a light voice, “Will you also be in charge of this kind of case?”
Giselle was curious from the bottom of her heart, but before Neville answered the question, Kila told her expertly, “No. Mr. Desmund is currently busy with cases of large companies, so he should not have the energy to take on personal entrust.”
Neville finally took a serious look at Kila.
The light outside the window just fell on the girl’s face, who smiled cutely with her eyebrows and eyes curved.
Kila reminded Neville of… the cat at home, which always stared at Neville like this.
Neville was a workaholic.
Neville would only devote all his thoughts when at work, and most of the other time he maintained an indifferent attitude to everything.
So it was true that Neville didn’t take Kila seriously the first time Neville saw her.
Because to Neville, Kila was someone who had nothing to do with him.
It wasn’t until now that Neville had a clear understanding of Kila.
It was rare… Neville had a mind to talk.
Sitting in the passenger seat, Giselle could clearly hear Kila and Neville talking about the cases in the back row.
Neville always spoke in a leisurely manner, eloquently, neatly, and even sharply.
Those cases were thrilling to be told by Neville. Giselle whispered to Hymes, “Mr. Desmund is really a great lawyer.”
There was a bit of worship between the words.
Hymes pursed his lips, feeling somewhat unhappy.
Hines said jealously, “Is he?”
“I’ve checked his information, and his academic qualifications and resume are excellent!”
Giselle talked about Neville’s past of studying in top universities at home and abroad.
Hymes twitched his mouth and really wanted to tell Giselle that he also studied in top universities all the way, with a double degree in finance and mathematics.
Chapter
But it was not the time to tell Giselle, so Hymes could only stand the jealousy with his mouth shut.
Galloping all the way, they came to the reservoir in the suburbs, and the sun was shining brightly.
The cool breeze blowing by made here less hot than in the urban area.
Giselle stretched comfortably, “Wow, I haven’t been here before.”
“It’s up to you whether we come out to have fun or just rest at home in the future, and if you want to come out I’ll arrange for you. What do you think?”
“That’s good!”
Giselle was very satisfied with Hymes‘ arrangement.
They got out of the car and quickly took out various stuff from the trunk.
There were tents, awnings, barbecue grills, food, and drink.
Kila was surprised at Hymes‘ adequate preparation, “How thoughtful your husband is!”
“Hymes is indeed thoughtful though he doesn’t look so, and basically he solves all the things at home.”
Hymes gave the impression of being hard, cold, sharp, handsome, and arrogant.
But in Giselle’s impression, all the past between them was gentle and comfortable.
Giselle had never felt much pressure, except for the possessiveness and aggression that Hymes revealed occasionally.
“I don’t need to worry about you since you have found such a husband”
Kila patted Giselle on the shoulder and then heard Giselle say, “What about you? Your chance is at hand, and why not have a try?”
Hearing this banter, Kila was like a cat whose tail was stepped on, “What? Neville is just my idol.”
Just at this moment, Neville was moving stuff and coming over. Kila’s face turned red in an instant at only one exchange of glances with Neville,
