Chapter 9
I laughed bitterly.
His family really thought they had it all figured out.
Did he think I was still the same Sienna who would come running at the slightest kindness? “Should I thank you?” I asked sarcastically.
I knew his mother well enough she’d only agreed out of fear I’d make a public scandal.
But I had no intention of letting her have her way. I wanted everyone to know what kind of people Ethan and his family truly were.
“She likes to delete posts, doesn’t she?”
“Fine! For every post she deletes, I’ll post it again. I’ll post it all over the internet. Let’s see if she can keep up with deleting them all.”
Ethan’s face fell at my response. “Sienna, let’s put the past behind us. I really do care for you. I made mistakes before, but everyone deserves a second chance.”
His shamelessness shocked me.
Why should my mother’s life be the price of his mistakes?
“Ethan, you disgust me,” I said coldly.
His eyes darkened. “Sienna, what will it take for you to forgive me?”
I smiled. “It’s simple. Die. If you die, I’ll forgive you.”
My words stung him into silence.
“Well?” I pressed impatiently. “Will you do it?”
Ethan didn’t answer, his fists clenched tight.
I gave him one last scornful look before slamming the door in his face.
