Chapter 46
“Hugh, I thought we had an agreement?” Alan asked the moment Hugh picked his call. They were currently still in Roy's office.
"And I remember telling you I was impatient.” Hugh calmly replied.
How can he be so calm after killing two innocent lives, Alan wondered.
“Those people were innocent. They did nothing to deserve death.”
"Well, uncle...” Hugh mocked.
"You can’t blame me. Your favorite nephew has something that belongs to me.”
“That's ridiculous. Those people had nothing to do with any of this.”
“Is that so0?.”
Alan took a deep breath to control his anger, because knowing the kind of person Hugh was, one wrong word could make matters worse.
Roy was staring intently at his uncle, already impatient as he could tell the conversation was heading nowhere. He wished his uncle hadn't stopped him earlier, then he would've taken care of this mess.
“You crossed the line, Hugh. What you did only shows that you're asking for trouble.”
"And Roy wasn't when he killed my warriors.” Hugh growled, finally expressing the anger he has been bottling up.
“This madness has to stop or else.”
“Or else what? Sorry to burst your bubble, Alan, but this is just the beginning.”
"Why?" he asked in disbelief, but before he could he could get a reply from Hugh, Roy snatched the phone from him
“Look here Hugh, if you have a problem with me then face me. Stop hurting my pack or else you're asking for war.” Roy said through gritted teeth. He heard Hugh chuckle at the other end.
“It's so GOOD to finally hear from you, cousin... You know, I was beginning to think you lost your voice.”
"Stay away from my pack!”
“That is no way to talk to your cousin. I thought your uncle taught you better?”
“This isn't a joke, Hugh. Stay away from my family!” Roy yelled.
“Then, give me my mate!” Hugh hissed and Roy went silent.
“I know you're as eager to see me as I am to see you, cousin.” Hugh said, finally breaking the silence.

“You shouldn't have agreed to that, Roy. What were you thinking?” Alan protested as they walked out.
"What did you expect me to do, huh? Let him continue his assault on my people?!” Roy angrily replied.
“That isn't enough reason for you to walk into a trap.”
“If it isn't for you, then it is for me.”
“Roy, I understand how you feel but.” Alan wasn't able to finish his statement as someone punched Roy square in the jaw, causing him to stumble back.
"What the hell?!” he muttered, rubbing his jaw that was still hurting from the sudden impact.
“It's all your fault! You're the reason she’s dead! I hate you!” someone kept yelling.
Roy directed his attention towards the sound of the voice and saw that it was one of his warriors, who was currently struggling to get off Elijah’s strong grip as he had him pinned to the ground. This is the greatest disrespect Roy had ever received. Never in his life has he been disrespected by his pack members.
His shock was soon replaced with rage and within seconds he was in a half shift.
"How dare you?!” he growled in a voice that wasn't his, earning gasps from the pack members who were presently witnessing all of this in the living area of the pack house.
This is the first time they've ever seen a werewolf in a half shift because it could only be done by alphas. John, a delta and also a warrior in the pack, who just hit Roy tense at the sight before him but quickly shook it off, preparing for whatever punishment his alpha was going to give him, even if it was death.
Roy lunged towards John and Elijah quickly let go of him, not wanting to interfere in his alpha's business.
"How dare you defy me?!” Roy repeatedly questioned now straddling John, throwing punches at him wherever he pleased.
"She's dead because of you.” John said, his face now bloody from Roy's beating.
“I hate you.” He muttered, infuriating Roy who angrily threw him across the room without a care.
A loud crack was heard from John's direction, which they guessed were his bones due to the much force his body used in slamming the wall.
Roy didn’t look like he was stopping anytime soon, as he stormed towards John who was struggling to move. He grabbed him by his shirt and lifted him from the ground, throwing him again to the other side of the living area, where his body collided with the large TV, shattering it in pieces.
"She was the only one I had, the only family I had left. So, I don't care if you kill me.” John sobbed, still struggling to pick himself from off the ground.
Roy was lunging towards John again but stopped midway after hearing what he said. He took deep breaths and slowly shifted back, now feeling remorseful for his actions.
John was right, the couple were murdered because of him and he has done nothing about it. He looked around him and noticed his pack members were all staring at him with fear in their eyes. “Take him to the hospital and get rid of this mess.” He ordered Elijah before walking out of the pack house.
