Chapter Luna Of The 60
Chapter 60
"HE REFUSED? Siegren inquired after his beta had just shared the new nat Alpha Ezra turned down their offer of assistance for his pack. Though he heard the news clearly, he still needed to hear it again to truly comprehend it. "I know it's only a facade, but Helga was concerned for the innocent children on the Incarnadine." "According to his beta, the situation was now under control. The unexpected attacks had ceased, and they were now focused on handling the aftermath while also implementing necessary security measures." David explained as he sat on the sofa and let out a sigh. "Besides, Incarnadine is one of the largest packs in Verdentia, I'm sure they would be able to protect the children and provide them with sufficient safety. The only thing they had to worry is about the losses they sustained during the attack" the attack
"It seemed their main factory was completely ashes now, which means their main business and source of income are gone. David added while shrugging his shoulder, "This will be the start of their downfall." "Hmmm," Siegren hummed, tapping his table with his fingernails Things were clearly not going well for Ezra, and he couldn't be happier that the bastard who had broken Helga's heart was finally getting what he deserved. However, he felt it wasn't enough; he wanted to make him even more devastated than he was already. "Call them again and tell him that the gatherings of Alpha who will organize the hunting festival will commence in a few days. If he couldn't come to the capital, tell him he was free to back out and I will completely understar understand." David couldn't help but chuckle. It was clear that his friend liked tormenting Ezra. He wasn't sure if it was because he was getting on his nerves or simply despised the fact that he was Helga's ex-lover. Either way, he found it both arms and funny how Siegren seemed to enjoy seeing the man suffer. He hadn't seen the Alpha King's sadistic behavior in a long time, which surprised him given how soft Siegren had become these past few weeks. "You sure are going all out," David commented, and
he would regret everything and do anything to gain legren simply shrugged and smirked. As long as there's an opportunity to make Ezra's life harder, he would use it to further amuse himself. "I'm sure once Ezra realized that Her Majesty is the real key to the prophecy,
her love back."
The words that David had just uttered made Siegren's finger twitch slightly, a small tremor of anger coursing through him. The thought of that bastard approaching Helga, his chosen mate, filled him with a sense of possessive madness. He knew the possibility of that happening was high, for fulfilling the prophecy was something the Incarnadine pack had been waiting for centuries. Even though he and Helga were already bound together in a strong bond, it didn't guarantee her loyalty. He couldn't shake off the fear that Helga's feelings might waver once Ezra tries to win her heart back. Worst, she might even try to reject him just so she could return to her former lover.
The mere thought of Helga rejecting her made his heart ache. He didn't even realize it, but his knuckles were already clenched tightly, and his claws were digging into his palm, drawing blood that dripped onto the wooden table. David noticed the tense atmosphere in the room and quickly stood up, approaching the table to divert the Alpha King's attention. He hadn't anticipated such a strong reaction from him after his comment. "Your Majesty," he called as he knocked on the table, drawing Siegren's gaze up to his beta. "Are you reacting this way because you didn't want to lose a Queen or because you're finally falling in love with her and the thought of her being with another man drives you crazy
Siegren's tightly clenched fist loosened at the mere mention of love, his lips forming a thin line and his narrowing as he met David's gaze. The intensity in his expression was intense, almost as if David's words had struck a nerve within him. But on the surface, Siegren showed no signs of being affected by the question. Yet, despite his stoic facade,
eyes David could sense an overwhelming amount of denial emanating from him. It wasn't enough to satisfy the beta's curiosity that had been lingering for the past few days, he needed confirmation from Siegren himself.
"You know why I brought this up. Your affection for Helga has surpassed the mate bond; it runs much deeper now." David stated flatly as he stared directly into Siegren's eyes, hoping that he got the message across without saying anything. Siegren's face twitched as if trying to hide his emotions. He had been questioning his feelings for Helga-was it love or just the strong bond between mates? But no matter how he analyzed it, he couldn't come to a definitive answer.
"I don't know, I couldn't tell." His response was curt and nonchalant as he stood up, his gaze fixated on the window where he could see Helga engaging in a lively conversation with Lucian. Her laughter seemed to echo faintly through the glass, a clear

Without even realizing it, his mind had already initiated a connection with his Canina, seeking answers. indication that she was thoroughly enjoying herself in his company. Her

"What's the matter?" David asked when he noticed the frown etched into Siegren's usually blank features. He walked towards his side and followed the Alpha King's gaze to see what had caught his attention. Just as he was about to inquire further, Siegren abruptly stormed out of the room, leaving a bewildered David behind. what's going on?"
He shook his head and followed his Alpha, not expecting to find thuslys in the training grounds, where Helga and Lucian were already in the center.
"Will they engage in a sparring match?" he inquired, his curiosity immediately piqued. While there was no official rule prohibiting the Queen from participating in such training exercises, it was common knowledge that being physically fit and skilled in combat were essential for any royal. Etiquette and title meant nothing when it came to protecting their kingdom and people. And so, they were free to train and hone their combat skills whenever they pleased, without fear of judgment. "Would she be okay? Lucian's the type of warrior who never backs down when it comes to fighting" David said, worried that things would
go wrong, especially since Lucian had injured a she-wolf warrior he was training before.
She'll be fine." A warm smile lit up Siegren's face as his eyes followed Helga's every move. She had just tied her hair into a ponytail, revealing the graceful curve of her neck. It was the first time he had seen her in pants, and he couldn't deny that she looked stunning. The fabric hugged her body in all the right places, accentuating her curves and strength. It seemed. you have forgotten what she did at the Ardan Woods. This is our chance to see just how skilled she really is as a fighter."
His Majesty is watching us." As Gamma Lucian's words reached her ears, Helga's eyes widened in surprise. Slowly, she stopped stretching and turned around, feeling a wave of nerves wash over her as she spotted the Siegren himself, His Majesty, standing on the balcony with Beta David at his side. Leaning casually against the concrete railing, arms crossed in front of him, he observed them with keen interest. Helga forced a smile and waved her hand awkwardly before quickly returning her attention to Lucian. Since she had finished all her work early, she had decided to ask the Gamma to spar with her. Not only because she had spare time, but also because she wanted to sharpen her skills and be prepared for any unforeseen event where she may need to defend herself from an unexpected opponent. The training grounds were quiet except for the sounds of their footsteps and movements, and the occasional chirping of birds in the nearby trees. But under the watchful gaze of His Majesty, it felt as though every breath they took was amplified enfold.
"You ready, Your Majesty?" Lucian asked and Helga nodded, changing her stance. As Lucian began stepping closer to Helga, he noticed a slight change in her facial expression, a subtle change he hadn't picked up on until now, one that told him that the she-wolf in front of meant business. He couldn't suppress the shudder that ran through his body as she stared at him with an intense, almost piercing gaze that made his skin crawl.

They circled each other, continuously shifting and changing positions in an attempt to gain the upper hand before finally launching simultaneous attacks. Helga moved with grace and poise, easily dodging Lucian's initial attack Both Siegren and David were surprised; it was rare for anyone to evade Lucian's lightning-fast strikes. Even David, who had sparred with him before, struggled to keep up with the speed of his fists.
"I didn't know she was that fast," David remarked in surprise while Siegren remained silent beside him, his his mate with unwavering intensity. She moved with such grace and fluidity, her body a blur of motion as she danced
gaze fixated on around her opponent. It was hard to believe she was actually fighting and not just performing some elegant ballet routine. He couldn't believe Lucian's attacks were met with swift and effortless counters, each movement perfectly timed and executed by a she-wolf.
The sound of Siegren's racing heart filled his ears, unable to calm down as he watched his mate in awe. A smile then tugged at the corners of his lips, but he quickly covered it with his hand, trying to contain his amusement. His eyes held a wild glint as if he had finally gone mad with delight at witnessing his mate's incredible skill and beauty while fighting. 12:29 Fri, Oct 18 t
