Chapter 32
A burning pain tinged Natalie’s face, and in that narrow space, silence enveloped them completely.
Calvin was stiff all over, his gaze shifting between Natalie, who tilted her head to the side, and his own hands. His pupils
constricted.
Both of them were breathing rapidly.
After a long while. Natalie fimally looked at Calvin and smiled sarcastically and coldly.
“Ha! Did you just slap me? Because of that woman?” Natalie’s voice barely reached her own ears, and the question seemed to escape her l*ps instinctively,
Calvin slapped her for a slut.
If Natalie had been disappointed and heartbroken by him before, then in this moment, she had entirely given up on him.
They said that it only took a thought to put something down.
Thus, giving up on someone would happen in an instant.
At this moment, Natalie had completely given up on Calvin
Calvin finally regained his composure. He gazed at her flushed face, his hands trembling as he reached out to stroke her cheek. In a quivering voice, he said, “Nat…”
“Don’t touch me!”
Natalie slapped his hand away and reached out to pull the door, but it was locked.
She gave off an icy vibe and said coldly, “Open it.”
“Listen to me!”
“Listen to what?” Natalie roared. At that moment, all semblance of rationality had fled. She regarded the man before her with the fiery intensity of an enraged beast.
“We have nothing else to talk about.”
Calvin said nothing
“Please bear in mind that you come from the Jeffords family and should conduct yourself with decorum. If necessary, you can discuss matters with my attorney in the future. If you believe I’ve caused her such distress, then call the police. Would you like me to assist you with that?”
As Natalie spoke, she dialed 911 on her phone.
Looking at the number, Calvin subconsciously grabbed the phone in her hand and hung up quickly before the other side answered the call.
“Are you crazy?” he roared, thinking that she had gour mad
Natalie laxed her gaze on Caban, a blend of anger and mouy in her eyes. Tim not afraid, so why are you!” she challenged.
Calvin found himself pondering why he was so atrand
Instead of considering turning over the evidence to the police, his first mustinct was to use it as leverage to prevent Natalie from seeking a divorce

Regardless of the circumstances, his primary reaction was to thwart Natalie’s intentions of divorcing him
But what about Natalie?
She didn’t seem afraid of the evidence.
“Is it because of that man after a long time, Calvin finally spoke
Many thoughts had crossed his mind.
The sole rationale he could find to convince himself that Natalie wasn’t afraid revolved around the foreign man. During the months she had been absent from Quadfield, her whereabouts had remained elusive to them.
It was evident that the man was the cause of her disappearance.
Now, confronted with undeniable facts and evidence, Natalie displayed no fear, knowing that she had someone backing her.
However, Natalie hadn’t anticipated that Calvin would bring up the topic of her uncle at this moment
“Yes, I have someone to protect me. Are you done now?” She didn’t care anymore.
Looking at Calvin’s fury, she continued, “When those guys sent those terrified things to me at Autumnhall Residence, it was him who protected me!”
Calvin fell into silence.
Natalie continued. “When the public wanted to tear me apart, he shielded me. When the evidence emerged, he told me not to be afraid. So what if he protected me?”
The more Natalie said, the more she provoked Calvin.
Back at Autumnhall Residence, Natalie didn’t know that Xavier was her uncle. She lied, and Calvin believed it.
Suddenly, Calvin grabbed Natalie’s n*eck, wanting to strangle her at that moment.
His strength was all but cruel.
“Ugh…” Natalie grunted in pain, feeling the suffocation.
“Natalie, you’re courting death!”
Calvin’s wrath was ignited completely.
Since they got together, Natalie had been living under his wings. To put it bluntly, she was attaching herself to his life.
Yer, here she was, boldly proclaiming in front of him that another man was now her protector, despite him protecting her for years
He thought angrily, “Does she think I’m dead”
“Did I mention that men from the Jeffords family don’t get divorced but rather become widowers?” Calvin leaned over Natalie, his voire ary as he whispered into her car, even as she remained silent beneath him.
His tone sounded extremely dangerous
Natalie replied, I said either you become the fast one to divorce or you die! I’ll take you as dead now!
Calvin was speechless
In the narrow space, the atmosphere grew intirasingly dangerous.

“Then, feel my b*dy now. Am I dead?”
“Get out of my way!” Natalie slapped him when his hands intended to pull her night robe open.
However, Calvin was on guard. He grabbed her wrist and held her captive.
He had always been gentle to her..

Suddenly, he exuded an overpowering dominance. Natalie found herself unable to match his presence and spoke with a look of disgust in her eyes, “How dare you!”
“Don’t forget that you are still my wife!
“Do you even remember that I’m your wife?” Natalie scoffed, her tone filled with incredulity, considering how he had treated her recently. “I must be incredibly unlucky to have a husband like you as I needed another man’s protection during my most trying moments!”
This was undoubtedly adding oil to the fire.
Calvin was already furious, and now he wanted to tear Natalie apart.
None of them would back down.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Yvette had taken off the bandage that covered her eyes. Cecilia was unhappy to hear that Jacqueline was coming back.
Seeing Yvette like this, Cecilia said irritatedly, “You’d better pay attention and not get caught.
“As I said, I’ve made the arrangements in the hospital.
“No matter how good it is, there will be some sl*ps!” It had taken them so much time to make it to this part of their plan.
Natalie and Calvin were embroiled in a deep conflict. If this tension persisted, Calvin, who had lived high on the hogs. would eventually lose his patience.
A divorce would become inevitable in the future.
Therefore, Cecilia thought Yvette should absolutely avoid causing any trouble during this period.
Yvette looked at Cecilia with a gloomy face and said, “Of course, I know what to do. Don’t forget that this is our cooperation.”
She was not hired by Cecilia..
This also reminded Cecilia.
She hesitated for a moment, and the looks in her eyes changed when she turned to Yvette. Then, she reconsidered and said. “You’re right. We are working together, but always remember no to desire what doesn’t belong to you.”
Yvette didn’t speak.
It was not the time for her to argue with Cecilia
“What are they doing now? She was in the hospital and didn’t kijow much about Calvin’s situation.
She could only gather information about Calvin and Natalie’s recent developments from news reports
Even in those smppets it was evident that the amaton had calatest dramatically Surprisingly, despite the severity of
