Chapter 46
Caroline was unable to trust these people. After all, Leon had been here for some time. They may have already fixed the way they thought of him and treated him.
Sometimes, the silent treatment was worse than physical punishment!
It was enough to destroy the innocent heart of a child.
Shortly afterward, Riley returned with Angeline, bringing Mason and three little ones.
Caroline smiled at the children, pulled some cute little dolls out of her bag, and asked, “You’re all from Leon’s class, aren’t you? I have three small gifts. I’ll award this to whoever tells me the truth. Tell me, why did your friend Leon sit on a toilet in the corner today?”
All three children raised their hands in excitement to reply.
One of the little girls spoke first. The teacher didn’t want him in the class.
Jasmine broke out in a cold sweat, wanting to gag the children.
“Why?”
“Ms. Moore told Leon to take a nap, but he disobeyed, so she was very angry and sent him to sit on the toilet!” The other little boy also opened his mouth. “Ms. Moore also told us that Leon is mute and didn’t let him sing with us.”
Caroline’s heart felt as if it had been pierced by a knife.
It turned out that her son’s injuries went far beyond his schoolmates to his teachers.
What a horrible, hateful thing this was.
Parents entrusted their children to kindergarten and teachers in the hope that the teachers would teach them well, rather than subject their children to emotional abuse at school.
She thought, “How could they do this?”
“All three of you are honest. These are presents for you. Now, get back to class.”
After handing them presents and seeing them off, Caroline asked her son, Mayson, “Leo, let me ask you, is it true what the students said?”
Mayson nodded.
“Did you hear that? Children are the most honest. I believe what they say!” Caroline’s expression got colder as she asked, “Ms. Moore, are you married yet?”
“Yes.”
“Do you have kids?”
“Yes…”
Jasmine hung her head in shame, not daring to look up at Caroline.
“Since you have children, don’t you know what they mean for every family and every parent? How would you feel about having your child sit on the toilet in isolation for almost an hour at school? Do you think Leo is mute and can’t speak, so there’s something wrong with his mind? Huh?”
Caroline questioned in a fury, tears welling up in her eyes.
“I’m sorry… Jasmine hung her head in shame.
“I don’t want an apology!” Caroline said, slapping Jasmine in the face with her hand for a total of four blows.
“Did you know I love hitting people? How does it feel? This is what happens when you mistreat Leon!”
Caroline glared at Jasmine angrily.
Jasmine, whose cheeks were red and swollen, did not dare to fight back, but covered her face and cried.
“Why are you crying? As an educator, instead of leading by example, you take the lead in isolating and discriminating against students. Is this what your ethics are like? With your character, do you think you are suitable for a career in education?”
Caroline’s heart broke for her son.
She thought, “He’s a child suffering from aphasia and became the world’s loneliest child. What he needs is even more care

and love, but they’re just destroying him! How can children grow up healthily in such an environment?”
Jasmine’s tears overflowed, and she could not argue a word back.
She was inwardly terrified of what Caroline would do to her.
Angeline hastened to apologize, “Mrs. Ziegler, we’re sorry. We’re terribly sorry! This was an oversight in our kindergarten. I’ll see to it that Ms. Moore corrects her behavior. It’ll never happen again!”
“It really was an oversight! The quality of employed teachers needs to be improved and readjusted! The comprehensive quality of all teachers should be included in the reassessment!”
Caroline continued. “As for Ms. Moore, along with the other two teachers in Leon’s class, they’re all fired! I’ll report your dereliction of duty to the education system and revoke your teaching certificates. You can come back to teach children when you learn how to care for them!”
When Caroline finished, Jasmine knelt directly at her feet, “Mrs. Ziegler, I was wrong. I really know I was wrong. Please give me a chance. I will never criticize Leon in isolation again. I will treat him kindly!”
“It’s too late now! Can you make up for how much Leo has been hurt because of you?”
Caroline kicked her away and said to Angeline, “Angeline, as of today, Leon is officially dropping out! You don’t deserve to be a slite school, let alone teaching my son!”
She pulled Mayson away. Angeline, fearful that Caroline would cancel her investment, rushed to beg, “Mrs. Ziegler, Mrs. Ziegler, I am very sorry, but could you just give us one more chance? Please reconsider. We will change!”
Angeline was stopped by Riley. “Angeline, don’t say anything. Just handle the formalities needed for Leon to drop out!”
Angeline felt like she was struck by thunder. Deep down, she knew that it would be impossible to be forgiven by Caroline.
Caroline pulled Mayson out of the front door of the kindergarten and asked, “How does it feel to be in kindergarten?”
“It’s very boring.”
Mayson and Cayson had never been to kindergarten. Caroline got them private tutors to teach them. It was stuff that was impossible to learn in kindergarten.
“I made Leon drop out of school. It’s a good decision.”
Caroline helped Leon drop out of school that day. In the future, she would offer him classes with his two brothers.
She knew that her sons were all gifted, precocious and unwilling to be spoon–fed, so she had to get the best private teachers to teach them.
Ms. Lewis! Over here!”
Caroline was going to take her son back and swap him with Leon so she could bring him back to the Ziegler family, but she did not expect Flynn to pick them up in his car.
Caroline caught a glimpse of Mayson, who knew right off the bat that he was going to be acting like a silent baby again.
She greeted him, “Mr. Xander, what brings you here?”
“I’m here to bring you back in case anything happens. The Ziegler family is waiting for you.
What Flynn did not say was, “Quintin was worried about you dating a young man, so he told me to come to fetch you. He couldn’t contact you, but he guessed that you definitely came here to pick up Leon from school, so he told me to wait here.
“All right! Then, let’s go!”
Caroline took her son Mayson to the Ziegler family car and messaged Riley to take care of Leo and Cayson.
Mayson already knew he was following his mommy to his daddy’s house.
He was curious and thought, “What is Daddy’s house like? Will anyone in the Ziegler family see through me and know that I’m pretending to be Leon?”
