Chapter 45
Flynn was unfazed. His duty was to protect Quintin, and the only person who could make him step aside was Quintin’s wife. He refused to listen to anyone else telling him what to do.
“Make this quick!” said Quintin
Quintin had an inkling that Savannah did not come here with an innocent intention. After all, nothing good ever came out
of her mouth.
Noticing that Flynn did not do as he was told, Savannah glared at him before saying, “Quintin, I was dining out with my sister–in–law today. Guess who I ran into?”
Quintin did not bother answering that.
Savannah stopped trying to act mysterious and said, “It’s Caroline!”
“You saw her at a restaurant?” Quintin’s tone would only change slightly when he heard Caroline’s name..
He was surprised that Caroline had gone to a restaurant to eat when none of them could get ahold of her and were wondering where she went.
“Yes. I saw her dining out with a young man, and they looked intimate together. I wonder who he is to her.” After saying this. Savannah observed Quintin’s expression. He looked calm and indifferent, and she couldn’t find out what he was thinking.
In fact, Quintin’s mind was already in turmoil.
Flynn told him earlier he saw a young man picking up Caroline before the Queen residence in a luxurious car, and then Savannah told him she saw them eating together at a restaurant. Quintin could tell these two seemed to be enjoying themselves.
“I also took photos and videos of them together, but, unfortunately, you can’t see the evidence when your eyes have yet to recover. However, Mr. Xander’s eyes are perfectly fine. Mr. Xander, why don’t you take a look instead?”
Savannah showed Flynn the pictures and videos on her phone. After seeing the evidence, Flynn could confirm the young man was the same man he had seen earlier.
Flynn whispered to Quintin, “Mr. Ziegler, it is indeed the same man from before that was with Ms. Lewis.”
“See? Now you know I’m not lying, right?” After Savannah tried to claim credit for herself, she then said provocatively, “Quintin. I hope you can do something to keep her under control. You must understand I’m only doing this to protect you and the Ziegler family’s reputation! For Caroline to seduce other men when you’re in such a condition, she is clearly taking advantage of this.”
“Shut up! You don’t get to determine what my wife should or should not do! Get out! Get the hell out of here!”
Quintin’s expression darkened and was as stormy as if a thunderstorm was about to break out inside his room.
Savannah was furious about being kicked out of his place.
She could not understand why Quintin still saw Caroline as his wife when she was out there seducing other men. She exclaimed inwardly. “Is he out of his mind?”
Meanwhile, after having lunch, Riley accompanied Caroline to Eureka Kindergarten.
She did not go to kindergarten only as a parent but also as a major shareholder.
To keep a low profile, Caroline did not use Lucent Venture Capital’s company name. Instead, she managed to take absolute control of the shares of Eureka Kindergarten through a funding company on a smaller scale.
It was the first time Caroline had made an investment in the education industry, and the decision was made solely based on
her son.
After hearing that the investors would drop by for an inspection, the Head of the Kindergarten led several leaders of the kindergarten to greet the investors by the school gate.
None of them had any idea who the investors were, so when they saw Caroline, they were more than surprised, especially when they were all aware of the issue of Caroline hitting someone.
The news on that matter circulated like wildfire, even bringing Eureka Kindergarten’s name up on the trending list.
Hence, it was impossible to say they did not know Caroline’s identity.
Angeline Wright, the person in charge of Eureka Kindergarten, felt a little awkward when she saw Caroline. However, she could only welcome her with both hands.
“Nice to meet you, Mrs. Ziegler! Thank you for your great investment in our kindergarten. We are extremely thankful for
that!”
After all, Caroline was known as the woman the Ziegler family took in to boost their luck. Although Angeline despised her,

she still had to greet Caroline with all her enthusiasm as a token of respect for the Ziegler family.
“That is kind of you, Angeline. Are the classes over yet?”
“Not yet. The classes will end in half an hour.”
“All right. Let’s go inside and start looking around then.”
Caroline was escorted into the kindergarten by Angeline and the other kindergarten leaders. Along their way, Angeline had a lot of nice things to say about how much they cared for Leon and would never let anyone bully him again.
Despite all those flatteries from Angeline, Caroline remained unfazed. She headed straight to her son’s classroom and stared. through the glass window with everyone else in their group.
Upon seeing the situation inside the classroom, Caroline was fuming in anger.
Inside the classroom, all children woke up from their afternoon nap session. The teacher gathered the students together to sit inside the classroom, yet her son, Mayson, was left alone sitting in the corner.
Not only that, but Mayson was also sitting on a toilet.
Although Mayson attended the school that day to replace Leon, her heart still ached at the thought of how heartbroken Leon must feel sitting alone on a toilet, especially when he could not talk.
Caroline’s expression darkened right away as she shot a glare at Angeline. “Would you care to elaborate on what’s going on inside?”
The teacher inside the classroom did not notice their group and continued her class for other kids. Angeline felt flustered and was about to bake up an explanation when Caroline turned around and stormed away.
“Mrs. Ziegler! Mrs. Ziegler!” Angeline caught up with her from behind and tried explaining, “It must be a misunderstanding! Perhaps Leon is taking a dump!”
“Will your kid take a dump in front of the teacher and other classmates?”
Angeline’s face turned pale after hearing Caroline’s harsh yet straightforward question. She was at a loss for words.
Caroline walked into the teachers‘ oflice and stopped abruptly as she ordered. “Show me the surveillance footage for Leon’s class right now! I’ll see with my own eyes what actually happened!”
Angeline knew the class teacher was in trouble this time. However, she had nothing to refute but to tell the staff to retrieve the surveillance footage.
Riley was put in charge of checking the surveillance footage. Mayson was seen through the footage to be sitting in a corner. Rewinding the footage, they could see Mayson had been sitting there for more than 40 minutes.
In other words, Mayson had been sitting on the toilet for more than 40 minutes.
After seeing the surveillance footage, Caroline suppressed the anger surging within her heart and said, “Inform their class. teacher to come to see me. I must question her in person about this!”
“Sure. I’ll tell someone to summon her right away.”
It didn’t take long for Angeline to get the class teacher over. Her name was Jasmine Moore, and she was in her twenties. After arriving at the teachers‘ office, Jasmine was still clueless about what had happened and asked, “Angeline, is there anything?”
Angeline then started introducing them, “Ms. Moore, this lady here is Leon’s mother, and she has some questions for you.”
When hearing that, Jasmine’s heart skipped a beat. She looked at Caroline in shock.
Soon, she recognized Caroline’s face from the news that painted her as the violent woman the Ziegler family had taken in to boost their luck, who had recently beaten up Yasmin and also appeared to be Leon’s tough stepmother.
“Are you Ms/Moore? Do you mind if I ask why Leo is sitting in the corner when your class is ongoing?”
After Caroline stood up slowly, Jasmine subconsciously took a step backward and explained, “Leon’s mom, we were playing a game just now, and Leon didn’t feel like joining in, so he went to a corner and sat there. He only sat there for a short while!”
“Is that so? Did he go there on his own? To sit down on a toilet? How is it a short while when he has been sitting there for more than 40 minutes?”
Caroline’s gaze turned icy–cold, and the chilliness around her permeated the air–conditioned teachers‘ office.
“Mrs. Ziegler, Leon did go there and sit down on his will. We did not force him to….” Jasmine appeared flustered, and her words began to fade.
Caroline sneered, “Don’t worry, Ms. Moore. I won’t listen to only one side of the story! Angeline, could you call in Leon and the other kids in his class? Riley, go help them out. I want to hear what the kids have to say about this!”
