He Regretted Kicking Me And Our Babies Away

Chapter Attractive Billioaire 83

Chapter 83 I’m His Fiancée

A folder came flying straight at him.

Boris ducked in time, stepping out of the office and shutting the door behind him in one smooth motion.

Bang! The impact made the door shudder.

Tsk, tsk. With that kind of strength, the door might even have a dent now.

Good thing he was fast enough to avoid it!

Inside, David loosened his tie and braced himself against the desk with both hands, his face clouded with

anger.

Boris’s parting remark had hit its mark. It was true–Caroline didn’t love him.

She had said so herself. She hated him. She’d even gone as far as to say it was either divorce or widowhood.

To her, he was nothing but a heartless villain.

But to be fair, he didn’t love her either!

If the opportunity arose, he wouldn’t hesitate to divorce her and marry Elizabeth.

Just not yet.

For now, his mother would never accept it.

As the evening approached, Caroline grabbed her bag after work and hurried to the agreed meeting spot

Since Nash wanted to meet and talk, she decided to go, settle things, and leave.

The location was a tranquil, elegant teahouse.

Guided by a server, Caroline entered a private room and pushed the door open.

But instead of Nash, a fashionable young woman sat inside.

Caroline froze, her first thought being that she had gone to the wrong room.

“Sorry,” she said, “I might have come to the wrong place…”

The young woman gave her a measured look and said, “No, this is the right place, Caroline. I’ve been waiting for you.”

What’s this about? Where did Nash go? He had arranged this meeting, but now a stranger has taken his place.

“I was supposed to meet… Mr. Newton,” Caroline said. “May I ask who you are?”

“I’m his fiancée, Julia Woods.”

Caroline’s mind froze, completely short–circuiting. She couldn’t process what was happening.

Was I really meeting Nash’s wealthy, ideal fiancée? Thiswas ridiculous.

Julia motioned towards the seat. “Have a seat. Since you’re here, we should talk.”

Caroline didn’t move.

“I saw the messages you sent Nash,” Julia said, her tone sharp. “I was the one who replied, and I was the one who arranged this meeting. Nash doesn’t know about any of this.”

Finally, it all clicked for Caroline.

“Before meeting you, I did some digging into your past. Julia said. “That’s when I learned how close you and Nash used to be. He pursued you for so long. I was curious about the woman he loved so much. Now that I’ve seen you… Julia sneered. “You seem rather plain.”

Caroline’s outfit was plain, lacking any designer logos or flashy accessories. The bag she carried was a modest piece from a small boutique, understated and simple.

In contrast, Julia exuded wealth, with designer clothing, manicured nails, and sparkling jewelry.

Caroline smiled faintly after a moment of silence. “You’re right—I’m ordinary and nowhere near your level. That’s why he didn’t hesitate to leave me and go after you. Ms. Julia, you’ve won entirely and gracefully. I sincerely congratulate you and wish you and Mr. Newton a wonderful future together.”

“If you know you’re not good enough for him, why do you keep reaching out? Are you trying to rekindle your romance with him?”

Caroline took a deep breath, keeping her smile steady. “You’re overthinking this, Ms. Julia. Sorry to bother you. I’ll take my leave.”

The situation was far too complicated to explain to Julia.

Any possibility of Nash helping with the kidnapping case now seemed to have faded entirely.

Caroline turned to leave, only to see Nash rushing towards the room.
