Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

Chapter 928

"Way to go," Zachary said, giving him a hearty pat on the shoulder. "Keep this energy up on race day, and the Jones family is bound to take the win." Luke smirked, "Taking down the Reyes family? That's a walk in the park. I could do it with one hand tied behind my back."

Zachary chuckled, clearly pleased. He agreed with Luke-there was no way the Reyes family posed any real threat. Their victory seemed as good as sealed. "Even if Youth steps in to help, so what? Can the Reyes family really pull off a miracle in just a few days?"

"I've sent out invitations to all the big families, asking them to come watch the race."

He wanted everyone to see just how formidable the Jones family was-and witness the Reyes family's downfall.

Luke was eagerly anticipating tomorrow; he'd been waiting to avenge the humiliation he suffered at the hands of the Reyes family.

"Oh, and Dad, that troublemaker Flora is racing too. Think you could set it up so we're in the same group?"

Luke's voice dripped with malice, his eyes glinting dangerously.

The race track is unpredictable, and Connor can't shield Flora forever. Racing is risky, accidents happen all the time.

Zachary caught on to his son's intentions and thought for a moment. "I'll have a word with Gerald; we can probably arrange that. Have your fun, but don't take it too far." After all, Flora was under Connor's protection.

Zachary had planned to brief Luke on the race strategies, but then he was overtaken by a fit of coughing.

"Cough, cough, cough!"

Luke quickly moved to help him, "Dad, are you okay?"

"Just my old ailment," Zachary waved it off, looking a bit frail. "After the race, I should visit the Nevilles and see if they can brew something for me."

"Nathan's got a temper, so it'll be tricky, but he's the only one who can really help with this."

...

In no time, race day arrived.

The race was set to start at nine.

By eight in the morning, Flora had finished breakfast and Connor drove her to the venue. Amanda, the Kruz siblings, and the father-son duo from the Irving family joined them. Such a significant event for Flora of course, they were there to show their support. Karter, Adrian, and the others were already at the entrance, waiting.

When they saw the group approaching, they hurried over to greet them. "Flora!"

"Sis!"

"Miss!"

"Hey," Flora nodded, keeping her hand snug in Connor's pocket. It was cozy. Youth rolled his eyes, thinking, Flora, can't you show a bit more restraint?

"Let's head in," Karter said with a grin. "No pressure, everyone. give

His assistant called out to him twice before he snapped out of it.

"Yeah?" Joe replied, coming back to his senses.

"Are those folks from the Reyes family?" he asked, curiosity piqued.

"Yes," the assistant confirmed after a quick glance. "That's the Reyes family. They've been at the bottom for two years straight. Going up against the Jones family now, they don't stand a chance. Their team might face disbandment after this race."
