Chapter 927
Ethan was floored.
Flora had way more tricks up her sleeve than he'd ever imagined...
Even the famous perfumer, Nathan, was her apprentice?! Now, that's something!
Nathan was a big deal in the perfume world! No one could top him!
Flora looked down at the old man, who seemed almost starstruck three steps below her, and her brow furrowed slightly.
Was this old guy...
Out of his mind?
She glanced over at Amanda, her eyes showing a bit of confusion, and Amanda seemed just as lost.
"Nathan, what are you on about...?"
Nathan, eyes fixed on Flora, exclaimed, "I've seen the perfumes you've crafted! Their purity, precision, everything about them is at a level I can't even imagine reaching. Age doesn't matter when it comes to learning; I've made up my mind to become your apprentice! I hope you'll take me under your wing!"
Flora's brow furrowed even more.
Was this old man obsessed with perfumery to the point of madness?
"Nathan, your skill in perfumery is unmatched on Lone Island, everyone praises you. Flora's still young, how could her skills possibly surpass yours? She can't possibly accept being called your mentor..."
Before Amanda could finish, Nathan interrupted anxiously: "Nonsense! Don't you think I know my own worth? I'm nothing! My perfumes don't even hold a candle to hers!"
"Please, Master, take me in!"
Flora felt a headache brewing.
"No."
She let out the word, sidestepped the old man, and took a seat on the couch.
If she took the old man as an apprentice...
She thought it over.
People would probably have a fit.
They'd say she wouldn't take them as apprentices but would take in an old man she just met.
"Mom, I feel a bit dizzy."
Ethan watched this bizarre scene unfold, his mind spinning.
The head of the top perfumery family wanted Flora to be his mentor, and she turned him down...
No one would believe it if they heard.
"Why?" Nathan hadn't expected Flora to say no, feeling a bit let down: "Do you think I lack talent? Or is it something else? I can work hard!" "Taking on an apprentice, really, I can't."
Flora shook her head, seeing that Nathan truly loved perfumery and was even ready to call her, a much younger person, his mentor. Sh thought for a moment and said, "But, I can give you a notebook, filled with my own personal notes on blending scents."
Nathan, initially downcast, was over the moon at her offer, almost pulling out his beard in excitement!
"Thank you, thank you! Oh, and master... would you consider swinging by the Neville family? Maybe give me and my crew some pointers!"
Though Flora hadn't agreed to make him her apprentice, Nathan was already happily calling her his master.
Maybe if he kept at it, Flora might eventually agree!
"No, I'm tied up with a racing qualification race, no time."
Being called master by an old guy didn't embarrass Flora; she was used to it, just a bit helpless.
Rejected again, Nathan felt a pang of disappointment, but Flora mentioned she didn't have time, so maybe there'd be a chance in the future, right? With that thought, the old man brightened up again.
He'd invite the master to the Neville family after the race was over!
...
In the days that followed, Nathan tried to catch up with Flora whenever he could, but often came up empty-handed.
As the race drew near, Flora spent
most of her time at the Reyes family's training ground, where Adrian and the others were going through some pretty intense training.
Meanwhile, the Jones family was also deep in training.
At the Jones family training ground, Zachary watched as Luke and his team finished their practice and
nodded approvingly, "You're all doing great, making real progress. en FindNovel
Luke climbed out of the car.
