Chapter 130
Chapter 130 Mackenzie’s Plea
Maxwell’s lips twitched slightly as he bent down and lifted Camila from the bed.
“What are you doing? Let me down quickly,” Camila shouted in panic.
“Weren’t you going to the bathroom? I’ll carry you there.”
“I didn’t break my leg. I can walk,” Camila said awkwardly.
“Your head was shaken. I’m afraid you might faint,” Maxwell gently pressed Camila’s head against his shoulder, fearing she would get hurt again.
Camila’s face turned red and her heart suddenly started racing.
Maxwell carefully carried Camila into the bathroom, closed the door, and stood guard outside.
“Let me know if you feel uncomfortable anywhere,” Maxwell instructed from outside the door.
Camila was very embarrassed.
“Can you move a little further away?”
“We have slept on the same bed before. What are you shy about?” Maxwell said.
Camila couldn’t help but say, “I was hungry. Could you go out and buy me some breakfast? I wanted to have a sandwich

from the shop near the hospital entrance.”
Maxwell thought for a moment, “Can you do it yourself?”
“I had a slight headache now, but I wasn’t dizzy. Don’t worry, there are nurses outside.”
“Okay, then wait for me. I’ll be back soon,” Maxwell went out to buy breakfast.
After Camila finished, she just lay down on the bed and saw Mackenzie walking in with a fruit basket.
“I heard that you were hospitalized, so I came to visit you.”
“Thank you,” Camila said coldly.
She thought Mackenzie came to see her, maybe for Samson.
Sure enough, Mackenzie put down the fruit basket and said, “Samson was locked up in the detention center last night, and then he called me. I didn’t want to get involved in his affairs, but after all, we have been together. I can’t just stand by and do nothing.”
Mackenzie described herself as someone who spoke with sincerity and integrity.
Camila sneered in her heart. These two individuals are birds of a feather. Everything they do is for their own benefit. Surely, Samson must have promised Mackenzie some kind of favor, otherwise she wouldn’t have come to plead on his behalf.
Seeing Camila silent, Mackenzie continued, “Samson told me he didn’t mean to hurt you. How about writing him a forgiveness letter, considering your past relationship?”

“I and him had long lost any relationship. You can go back, I won’t write him a forgiveness letter,” Camila firmly refused.
“No, please. If you have any requests, just tell me. I will pass them on to Samson. I believe he regrets it now. He loves you so much, how could he bear to hurt you?” Mackenzie rarely spoke so humbly.
“Does he love me?” Camila chuckled as she looked at
Mackenzie, “The person he loves the most is himself.”
Mackenzie pursed her lips.
“I admit you are right. Samson was indeed selfish. He always loved himself more, but it cannot be denied that he always had a place for you in his heart, otherwise he wouldn’t have refused to reconcile with me.”
“That’s because you no longer have what he wants on you. That’s just how he is, only doing things that benefit him,” Camila said.

“Don’t speak so harshly. After all, you two have been together for so many years. There was not only love but also friendship between you. You can’t just condemn him to death, can you?”
“Was it me who wanted to bring him to his death, or was it you who wanted to bring me to my death?”
Mackenzie’s gaze turned cold. “What do you mean?”
“Do you not understand what I mean? How much were you and Samson involved in Olivia’s affairs?” Camila asked bluntly.
