Chapter 128
Chapter 128 Meet Samson
Camila sat dejectedly at the dining table. At that moment, she heard someone calling her.
“Camila, who was the person you were with just now?” Samson sat across from Camila.
He felt Maxwell looked familiar. He seemed to have seen
Maxwell somewhere, but couldn’t remember at the moment.
“It’s you.” Camila saw Samson at that moment and suddenly felt nauseous.
“How come? Don’t you want to see me?” Samson looked at the dishes Maxwell ordered. “You’ve become a rich man now. These dishes are not cheap.”
Samson picked up the fork and took a few bites. “The taste is good. It’s really nice to have money, not only to have beautiful women by your side, but also delicious food.”
“Samson, what on earth do you want to do?” Camila snapped.
“I have been following you for a while. Was that person just now your husband or the wealthy man you’re with?”
“Are you following me? Are you crazy?” Camila was completely furious. She stood up and was about to leave.
Samson quickly grabbed her arm. “So what if I’m sick? It’s because of you that I’m sick.”
“You let go of me!”
The two people kept pulling and brought the waiter over.
“Ma’am, do you need to call the police?” the waiter asked.
“I was her boyfriend. Why are you calling the police? Get out of here!” Samson exclaimed angrily, forcefully pulling Camila
out of the restaurant.
“Samson, are you crazy?” Camila forcefully pushed Samson away and then slapped him.
“Do you dare to hit me?” Samson, infuriated, grabbed Camila’s hair and slammed her head onto the lamppost.
One, two…
Camila was hit so hard that she felt dizzy and her vision started to darken. When she touched her head, she was surprised to find her hands covered in blood.
Samson, upon seeing the situation, slowly stopped his hands.
“I told you, Camila, I didn’t have a good time. And you can’t expect to have a good time either,” Samson said fiercely.
Camila leaned against the lamppost with one hand while reaching for her phone to call the police with the other.
But before she could dial the number, her phone was snatched by Samson.
“You wanted to call the police and catch me. How cruel of you.”
“You give me back my phone,” Camila stumbled and grabbed Samson’s arm, trying to retrieve her phone.
Unexpectedly, she was forcefully thrown by Samson, and her body fell backwards abruptly.
At the last moment of consciousness, she vaguely saw police officers walking towards her.
Originally, a passerby helped Camila call the police.
The police caught Samson, who was about to escape, on the spot and called an ambulance for Camila, who was then rushed to the nearest hospital for emergency treatment.
Dewitt was in an emergency consultation, watching a person with a face covered in blood pass by him.
“Camila?” Dewitt was startled by Camila’s appearance.
Camila seemed to hear someone calling her urgently, but she just couldn’t wake up.
.
Then she was pushed into the emergency room. After over an hour of treatment, she was stabilized.
“Camila, wake up,” Dewitt said, looking at Camila’s pale face, as if he had seen the same look on Daniela’s face before she died. His heart felt as if it had been stabbed with a knife.
Camila slowly opened her eyes and saw Dewitt looking at her with a worried expression on his face.
“Where am I?” Camila asked, looking confused.
“You were in the hospital. You are fine now,” Dewitt said, finally relieved, as Camila woke up.
Then, he took Camila to the VIP ward. He stayed here all night.
Camila’s consciousness was sometimes clear, sometimes
confused.
What she didn’t know was that Maxwell had been looking for her all night and was on the verge of calling the police.
In the early morning, the gentle sunlight shone on Camila’s face. She slowly opened her eyes, and what met her gaze was Dewitt’s peaceful sleeping face.
