Death's Saviour

Chapter Chapter Thirty-One: Dusk

Author's Song of the Chapter: Unsteady by X Ambassadors

When morning comes I’m feeling less worried than I was thanks to Noah. Our plans will work. We gage how much Crane and Caroline know then we make our move. I stand outside of the forest wrapped in Noah’s arms. Sicora and Garth huddle together talking as they watch Danny and Cassie. We can all smell what happened between them last night even if we didn’t hear it. We are all smiling about it. When mates come together it makes a pack stronger. Lora’s blind eyes watch her son proudly from where she stands beside Carl and Lily.

“You all really have to watch your tempers, make sure that they can’t sense your Wolves. We don’t want to give away how many of us there are quite yet.” I remind them all looking at Sicora the most since she is the most likely to lose her temper.

“We got this Dusk, we’ll keep an eye on the firecracker over there.” Carl smiles at me, then he shares a laugh with Sicora and Noah.

We have bonded quickly as all Wolves do, we have been through a lot together and it allows us to have a strong bond like no other.

“Alright we should be on our way if we want to be there on time,” Noah tells everyone from beside me, then they move towards the forest.

I grab Noah’s arm pulling him into one last kiss.

“Remember if you need me I’ll be in the forest near the school.” I remind Noah and only Noah considering my presence isn’t supposed to be known.

I don’t want them to know I’m watching them. I want my packmates to be as confident as they can be, plus, I have my own purposes of being so close. I might try to take out that pesky female stuck to my brother’s side, without her maybe it’ll hammer home our strength in making two moves in this time span. I smile at Noah as he pulls away before shifting and running after the others. I shift and run off steering very wide of my packmates as they run.
