Dear Arthur Please Love Me Again by Arthur Clark

Chapter 7

Chapter 7

Arthur froze in place, momentarily unable to react.

Chris took the file bag and was about to open it.

Arthur, as if driven mad, rushed over and clutched the file bag tightly.

“I know my wife! How could I not know if she was pregnant? Stop joking! You all know what kind of man her father is! How could a woman raised in that kind of family die so quickly?”

This time, Chris didn’t heed his leader’s respect. He looked at Arthur seriously.

“Arthur, this is a matter of life and death. It’s not a joke. Plus, there were many doubts. about that incident back then. Just open the bag and see if it really is your wife…”

Before Chris could finish…

Arthur roared out loud.

“Chris Walker! Are you questioning me?

“How could I not know my own wife’s situation? She even left a voice recorder at home for me. It couldn’t possibly be her!”

Arthur was losing control.

Chris could only sigh, no longer speaking.

Though I am a soul, I felt a tightness and

in my chest.

Except for Arthur, everyone else suspected there was more to the incident back then.

But he never listened to my explanations.

He would only listen to Amanda alone.

My father, Zack Kade, and Amanda’s father, Travis Wills, were business partners who started a company together.

In college, through Travis, I met Amanda.

At that time, Amanda was busy dating the most popular guy in school, and Arthur was always bothering her, much to her annoyance.

She said she and Arthur grew up together, but she only saw him as a brother.

Arthur always thought of Amanda as a child, insisting she was too young for romance. Even though Amanda was already an adult, he still viewed her through his childhood lens.

Amanda came to me, praising Arthur endlessly.

She hoped I would pursue Arthur so that no one would interfere with her freedom to date freely.

I fell in love with Arthur at first sight and pursued him passionately.

Arthur actually fell for me as well.

Arthur kissed my forehead, promising to believe in and love me for life, always standing behind me in support.

Everything seemed to be moving in a positive direction..

Until the day our fathers’ company faced trouble…
