Dear Arthur Please Love Me Again by Arthur Clark

Chapter 14

Chapter 14

The images from that night flashed before my eyes.

My entire soul shook violently, pain erupting from its depths as if demons were tearing it into countless pieces, leaving no part of me unscathed.

Edward shielded Amanda in front of him, revealing a mocking smile.

“If it weren’t for this wretched woman, I wouldn’t have been misled into troubling your wife. Isn’t it funny, Arthur? You’re still protecting this wretch. If your wife’s spirit could see this, she probably wouldn’t rest in peace,” he taunted.

His words threw Arthur into complete disarray.

At that moment, Arthur couldn’t care less.

Like a furious lion, he lunged at Edward.

In a critical moment, Amanda screamed.

“Arthur! Stop! He’s still got me!”

Tears streamed down Amanda’s face, her s o b a heartbreaking melody.

Arthur, momentarily jolted back to his senses, froze in place.

Edward let out a mocking whistle

“Well, well, well, this lady’s got quite the knack for manipulating you. “Arthur, have you any idea what she’s been doing behind your back?” Amanda’s legs trembled uncontrollably, and her demeanor panicked. “Shut up! What can a murderer’s words prove?

“Arthur, I’m so scared. Please save me!”

Arthur’s hand reached behind his back, finding the handgun.

As Amanda struggled desperately, distracting Edward, Arthur drew his gun.

Amanda caught a glimpse of Arthur’s movement and twisted sharply, crashing into. Edward.

Thrown off balance, Edward was hit not in the shoulder as intended, but the bullet pierced his throat instead.

Blood spurted from Edward’s mouth as he fell to the ground, convulsing, unable to speak.

Crouching beside him, Amanda looked shocked, but as she bowed her head, the corners of her mouth curved into a smirk.

Honey, you just missed another chance to learn the truth.

Arthur carried Amanda away.

Edward’s body was removed.

The case neared its conclusion.

Sitting in the car, Arthur browsed through Edward’s personal information.

Edward was also a construction worker.

The delayed salary was his family’s lifeline.

Unable to afford surgery due to the unpaid wages and not wanting to burden his family, Edward’s mother committed suicide.

Overwhelmed by grief, Edward’s father followed her in death soon after.

That was the reason Edward blamed my father.

With my father dead, he directed his hatred toward me.

Edward discovered that the missing funds were connected to Travis.

Travis was the company’s former finance manager.

Edward first approached Amanda to inquire about the past events.

Amanda told him that my father had taken the money and given it to me.

Driven mad, Edward attacked me while I was out shopping, knocking me unconscious. and kidnapping me.

He tortured me for five hours.

He slapped me, pulled out my hair, and doused me with sulfuric acid, demanding to know where the money went and how much I had used.
