Darling, Don't Get Rid of Me

Chapter 57 His Concern

The surrounding temperature dropped instantly.

The man's eyes changed, and her name was coldly called, "Harriet... Clark."

Harriet quickly looked away, but still spoke in a solemn way, "My brother will take care of me and do not bother you to do that. You should take care of the person you need to." Wesley sneered, "What do you want to say?"

Harriet didn't believe that he didn't understand what she meant, and mocked, "Did you treat me differently because I was shot for you last night?"

Wesley's face was even colder.

Without waiting for him to speak, Harriet sneered, "You should know what kind of person I am. If you want to compensate me, let's just talk about money. What about 8 million dollars?"

Harriet had a bright smile on her pale face, thinking his life was worth more than 8 million dollars.

Harriet knew that Wesley stayed with her just because of his guilt for her.

She knew their actual trading relationship, but her chest would still feel stuffy with what she said.

Wesley had regained his usual indifference, and suddenly sat down on the bed, raising her chin, "Good, you are very self-aware."

Harriet's heart was inexplicably twitched, shaking her head and trying to get rid of his shackles.

But the man lowered his head and bit her fiercely before she got rid of him.

She widened her eyes with her shoulders pressed heavily. She could not resist him at all.

He kissed her too hard and soon she tasted a trace of blood.

"Woo." She tried to shout.

Wesley did not let her go, but even kissed her harder.

Her lips were fiercely painful like they were dipped in the pepper water.

He let her go after a few minutes.

Harriet stared at him angrily, "Is that how you treat your life saver?"

How did she go out with her tortured lips?

Wesley squeezed her chin again, and looked down at her condescendingly, "Don't try to provoke me. I can give you everything, or make you lose everything."

The man slid his finger down, pressed hard on her sore spot, and backed away.

She took a cold breath and lowered her head to quickly restrain the pain in her eyes, thinking that his guilt should have gone.

She didn't care anymore.

She awkwardly picked up the spoon and scooped the porridge slowly into the mouth, like a child who just learned to eat.

Wesley just stood aside and did not come to help her again.

Colin returned from the bathroom, leaned against the door like a thief, and secretly looked inside.

He felt strange just now, but now he did not understand what was happening when he looked inside.

This handsome man came to take care of his sister in person. Didn't he like his sister? Why did he just stand by and do nothing while he left?

His sister broke up with her boyfriend last time. Even though she did not look sad, but Colin still felt that she was quite upset. She was not old, but she was time to get married. If she could find a reliable boyfriend and get married, their mom should be very happy.

Colin had begun to consider her lifelong event.

Colin couldn't stand it anymore and quickly entered the ward.

"Harriet, let me help you." Then he glanced at Wesley for a few more times, wondering he was not a reliable and did not know how to be a gentleman.

As soon as Wesley left, Colin got close to Harriet, "Harriet, what's the matter with your lips?"

"I just accidentally bit them when eating the porridge." Harriet's eyes flashed.

"That is." Colin stared at her suspiciously. "What is your relationship with Boss Smith? Does he like you?"

"You are talking nonsense, I have nothing with him. I did him a favor and he is grateful to me." She was not lying. She helped him save his beloved fiancée with a child and one of her kidneys after all .Harriet flashed a bit of pain in her eyes, shifting the topic and saying, "I haven't checked your study recently. Is it going well?"

Colin didn't want her to pass the topic, "Is that so? Harriet, I don't think Boss Smith is a reliable man. If you have another boyfriend, you must tell me that I will check it for you."

"You check for me? You are still a rookie, how can you succeed doing that?" Harriet rolled her eyes at him.

"I'm a man. I know men better than you. By the way, how did you have a car accident?"

Suddenly, Harriet understood that this should be an excuse made by Wesley and Jack, "It was just an accident. A cat suddenly ran on the road. I braked quickly. A car just came behind and I got saved." Colin had no doubt about what she said, and only told her to drive carefully in the future.

Louisa arrived home. Sandra dragged her to the sofa and sat down.

"How come you often hang out recently as I have told you to prepare for the birthday party?"

Louisa held her arm and acted coquettishly. In fact, she was a little bit guilty, "Mom, you can take charge on it without my help. Did you just want to talk about the party by calling me back so hurriedly?" "Humph, will you come back if I do not talk in a hurried tone?"

Then nothing was happen. Louisa felt sorry for a while as she could have a change to meet Colin's family.

"Louisa?" Sandra frowned and called Louisa twice.

"What? Mom, I'm listening." Louisa drew back her thoughts.

Sandra found she had a pale face and asked her with concern, "Are you feeling good?"

"I'm fine, really." Although she was a little tired, she forced herself to cheer up as she could not let her mom find

any clues.

"You have to stay at home these days. Your dad will officially announce the engagement between you and Wesley on the birthday party." Sandra hoped that Louisa and Wesley would get married quickly so that she could be relieved on the future of her daughter.

"Mom, I'm not a prisoner." Louisa was not willing to stay at home as she and Colin finally made some progress and she planned to take him down by taking advantage the chance.

Sandra showed a serious face, "Do as I say."

Louisa would like to retort but she lowered her head unwillingly when she saw her harsh eyes. She was really afraid of annoying her. If she was locked in the room, she still could sneak out when she was out. "Then I'll go back to my room." Louisa stood up, but her world became dark sharply with her body falling down on the sofa.

Sandra exclaimed, and quickly held her, "Louisa, what's wrong with you?"

Louisa recovered and shook her head, "It may be that I did not rest well last night."

Sandra did not dare to be careless, and immediately ordered the servant to call a doctor home.

Louisa lowered her eyes, wondering what she should do. She could not see the doctor.

She must think of a way to fool it.

Her eyes kept rolling and then an idea came up her mind.

She called Wesley when Sandra was pouring her a glass of water, "Wesley, could you ask Jack come to my house and pick me up right now? You can tell my mom that you are going to take me to try on a dress."

"Okay." Wesley agreed without asking anything.

Louisa didn't doubt about him as Wesley was always responsive to her.

But Wesley guessed her purpose. She probably did not want her family to know the blood transfusion.

So Jack turned around and went to Jones house before he arrived at the hospital.

He arrived before the doctor and told Sandra his intention.

Sandra worried about Louisa, "You'd better take Louisa try the dress tomorrow."

"Mom, don't worry. I will let Jack take me to the hospital first. No need to concern about me too much." Louisa shook Sandra's hand.

Sandra couldn't stand her begging. She saw Louisa in good mood and had to compromise.

Louisa finally escaped from her home.

In the hospital ward, Harriet kept looking at the ceiling in boredom.

Colin was hurried back to study by her, and she was alone in the ward.

Her injury was serious, requiring a week of rest to recover. She couldn't get off the bed for the first two days.

There was a slight footstep at the door. She slightly turned her head and saw that it was Jack. She seemed to be relaxed but her chest was still tight.
