Chapter 250 Can You Let Me off Tonight?

Bella pitifully said, "But we were arguing this morning, and you even ignored my text. How could I have called you?"

Dominic's cold expression quickly softened. "Don't you know how to handle me when I ignore you? You know how I am. Alright, let go. I have a cold, and I don't want you to catch it."

Bella released her hold around his waist, then tiptoed to wrap her arms around his neck and kissed his lips. "I'm not scared."

He narrowed his eyes slightly. "I'm really tired. Can you let me off tonight? Don't tease me. Let go."

Bellaflushed and immediately stepped back. She only kissed him out of gratitude. She hadn't thought of doing anything else.

Dominic said that he wouldn't care about the 1.5 million as long as Simon stopped bothering her. However, Bella couldn't shake off the guilt. That sum wasn't a small amount, and she felt so bad about giving it to Simon for free. It weighed heavily on her mind, making it hard to sleep.

After a few days of struggling with her feelings, she finally felt a little better. It had already happened, and she was powerless to change it.

Dominic was away from home that weekend, so Bella invited Lia to go shopping. While chatting about the situation, Lia cursed Simon fiercely and surprisingly praised Dominic.

"Using 1.5 million to see how Dominic feels about you is actually worth it. Don't tell me he doesn't like you-I won't believe it! He's really showing off how a real boyfriend should be!"

Bella didn't respond. She felt that Dominic was treating her much better than before, which gave her the illusion that he might like her. However, she couldn't be blindly confident, Dominic was the only one who truly knew how he felt.

Bella had initially joined the Miller family with such a shameful identity. How could Dominie forget the pain she had caused him? She was afraid he was only weaving a perfect dream for her, only to let her fall from the clouds when she least expected it.

Just then, Lia's phone buzzed with a text message. After reading it, a mysterious smile spread across her lips, and there was also a hint of shyness in it. Bella couldn't help but tease, "What's with that look? Have you fallen in love again?"

Lia chuckled. "It's just someone online who's from the same city. We haven't met yet. We just get along well in our chats. Don't worry, I won't fall for someone so easily. I'm not an idiot"

Belle was worried and said, "Now, I'm really worried if you're an idiot. You can't know what a person is truly like just from chatting online. Don't get scammed. If you want to date, find someone reliable."

Lia smirked. "Yes, of course. On the contrary, you can easily see and touch your man, right? How many times does he touch you in one night?" Bella was speechless. "Can you be serious for once?"

As they passed by a mall, Bella had the idea of buying a gift for Dominic. Although it wouldn't be as expensive as 1.5 million, it might help ease her guilt a little. She remembered Dominic liked brooches, and she could probably stretch her budget to buy one. Hence, she headed to a high-end jewelry store. Once inside, the variety of styles and high prices overwhelmed her. When the sales attendant saw Bella looking at brooches for men, she approached her with a smile and asked, "Are you buying this for your boyfriend? If you don't have a specific one in mind, I can recommend a few for you."

Bella felt a bit awkward as she nodded. A person without much money coming into a place like this wouldn't really have much confidence.

She really didn't want to touch the money Dominic had given her. If she did that, buying him a gift would be meaningless.
