Chapter 177 Is It Fun

Nobody knew how much time had passed. Dominic only let go of Bella after her tense body relaxed. "Let's go home."

Bella hadn't yet recovered from the kiss. Her face flushed red, and she hung her head low as her heart pounded uncontrollably.

She tried to suppress her emotions, but just as when she first fell for him, she couldn't.

When she glanced at Dominic, she noticed his breathing hadn't faltered. Clearly, he had kissed her to distract her, and she had overthought it.

After returning to Miller Manor, Pudding and Sylvia greeted them as soon as they walked in. Bella didn't even have the energy to play with Pudding. Seeing her pale face, Sylvia quickly rushed to her aid. "What happened?"

Bella shook her head as the pain was so unbearable that she couldn't speak.

After changing his shoes, Dominic walked directly upstairs, leaving behind a disappointed Bella. She figured that his rare moments of tenderness depended entirely on his mood. Hence, she had never taken his casual announcement of their relationship too seriously. However, when she returned to her room, she was shocked to find him digging through the medication kit. He carefully examined the contents and dug out the pills before asking, "Is this the one? Sylvia, bring her some water so that she can take the medicine." At that moment, Bella couldn't describe what she felt. But she felt warm and weird inside, so

she stood frozen.

Upon seeing her reaction, Dominic motioned her over. "Why are you standing still? Come and lie down. If I knew, I wouldn't have taken you out. You're n but trouble."

Though his statements sounded like complaints, they

grin as she walked over and lay down on the bed, feeling relieved despite the pain.

Meanwhile, he continued to carefully read the medication instructions and double-checked them as if afraid of making a mistake. She had only seen him wear that serious expression when reviewing work documents.

As Bella stared at him, she became lost in thought and murmured, "You're going to cause trouble like this..."

Upon hearing her words, Dominic glanced at her puzzled. "What are you talking about?"

She didn't explain anything but continued to stare at him. Her stare, however, wasn't one of fondness. Instead, it was skeptical.

He tucked her in after she took her medicine. "Let Pudding keep you company. Take some rest.

I'm going to the office. Oh, and don't run around Stay at home and don't go anywhere besides the hospital. Make sure you come straight home after work."

Bella nodded meekly and closed her eyes softly. Suddenly, she felt something soft brush across her forehead and opened her eyes, surprised to see Dominic straighten up and grin at her. "I'm off."

She was astonished and couldn't believe he had just kissed her.

Finally, she couldn't keep it any longer and yelled, "Dominic, are you out of your mind? Do you think this is fun?"

Dominic knew well she was referring to his unusual behavior. However, he didn't get annoyed and answered with a playful tone, "It's kind of fun."

As the door closed behind him, Bella's heart was in turmoil. She couldn't understand what he was up to. He was playing with her feelings, but did he not realize she might fall for him? She wondered if he was doing it all on purpose to watch her drown in her tenderness before cruelly bringing her back to reality.
