Chapter 950
It was a silent gesture of comfort.
It
was the only thing Rosalie could do.
An expression of empathy between two human beings.
People would naturally react sadly when they hear of other people's tragedies, instead of being cold or numb or even mocking them.
This was probably the difference between man and beast.
As it turns out, he kept hallucinating and calling out Youngie's name and apologizing to her because of this.
"So...so you wanted revenge by killing everyone who hurt Youngie, is that it?" Rosalie asked as she choked back tears.
"That's right," Vincent said, a look of viciousness flashing past his eyes. "I killed them, cooked their flesh and bones, and made them eat it. I dug out their guts and fed them to dogs. I spared none of them!"
Rage boiled in his blood and hatred remained in his heart all this time. Nothing he did could erase that anger and hopelessness he experienced.
Even though all of the culprits died, that hatred was deeply etched in his heart. He couldn't let go of it, never in his entire life!
"Apparently, they are legends in this city with control over everything. Hahaha... But when they knelt and begged me for mercy, when they collapsed on the floor and their bodies started rotting, they ended up as nothing but dead meat. Hahaha!" Vincent chuckled wildly, but tears began streaming down his face.
Rosalie pulled out some napkins to wipe his tears away.
Suddenly, Vincent grabbed her wrist.
"There's a sound coming from the basement. You weren't hearing things. Do you want to know what it is?"
Rosalie bit her lips and nodded.
"Come on. I'll bring you there."
Vincent pulled Rosalie up and toward the basement. He grabbed Rosalie by her arm and walked toward the door leading to the basement.
The door looked slightly old and even the handle had rusted.
Before Rosalie started preparing dinner, she walked past this door and heard something.
She opened the door to head down and take a look, but ended up being frightened.
he had heard from
Now that she'
Vincent about his experiences and he was taking her to the basement she couldn't help but imagine the possibilities of what caused the sounds coming from the basement.
"Rosalie, it doesn't look too good down there. Be mentally prepared."
Rosalie turned around and said, "I'm ready. With you around, I'm not scared either."
If she were alone, she would definitely not dare to go down. Now that Vincent was by her side, however, there was nothing she needed to fear.
Vincent somehow gave her a sense
of security. Although he didn't look
like a good man and had shown.
himself to be dark and cruel by nature, he wasn't exactly a dirtbag.

If he were, she would have been dead long ago.
Vincent opened the door and led Rosalie downstairs slowly.
It was all dark downstairs. As they stepped into the basement, they suddenly heard a crash.
Rosalie, terrified, grabbed Vincent's arm back as her breathing quickened.
Even the sound of a needle dropping could be heard clearing in the basement.
A musty smell lingered in the place and a nasty, sharp stench filled their noses.
Rosalie suddenly felt dazed.
The lights in the basement were then switched on. Suddenly, she could see what was before her. There was indeed a lot of junk piled up here.
The key thing was, she could see a man tied up here.
He was in ragged clothes and was chained up. His face was all swollen, and it was hard to make out his features.
His hair and beard were both very
long; it was clear to Rosalie that be had been here for a long time without cutting his hair, shaving his beard or even trimming his long nails.
