Chasing My Pregnant Wife (Rosalie and Theodore)

Chapter 949

So, who exactly was Youngie to Vincent?

Rosalie didn't ask that question out loud. Instead, she heard Vincent out because she felt that Vincent would eventually give her the answer to her question.

"I knew Youngie really liked that boy and I didn't go too hard on him. I was just mad that he cheated on Youngie when he had her. Youngie was so beautiful.

"But after that, that boy admitted his mistake and apologized to Youngie. She forgave him and they reconciled, dating happily once more and spending their days having fun and studying together.

"I was still very worried that the boy would hurt Youngie again, so I warned him behind her back that if he dared to hurt Youngie again, I'd finish him.

"Their relationship improved with time and they prepared to get married after graduating from university.

"Our parents died early, so Youngie and I only had each other to rely on. People often say that an elder brother plays a fatherly role, so I raised her like I was her father and mother. Youngie, however, was taking care of me, too. I couldn't bear the thought of her marrying another man.

"But Youngie grew up and found a boy she loved. She couldn't possibly spend her life with me, her older brother."

Rosalie finally understood who Youngie was. She was his sister, and they grew up together with only each other to rely on.

He had called out her name with such agony, apologizing again and again to her. Rosalie couldn't help but ask, "So where is Youngie now? Is she still with that boy?"

"To feed Youngie and pay for her school fees, I fived life on the edge. She didn't know a thing about it. She always thought that her brother was an upright man working at a car workshop. Until one day, she saw me lying on a bed all covered in blood and was frightened out of her wits. That was when she found out that her brother wasn't as good as she thought he was."

The look in Vincent's eyes was empty and soulless. He was immersed in his memories and suddenly fell silent.

Rosalie didn't rush him and waited quietly for a few minutes before Vincent went on.

"Youngie saw how grievously injured I was and ran out in the middle of the night to buy medication for me. I couldn't stop her no matter how hard I tried, and I fainted from my severe injuries. She never came back after that." Rosalie's heart tightened. She had a bad feeling about this. Her eyes turned solemn when she looked at Vincent.

His eyes turned bloodshot with rage as he spoke. He clenched his fists and gnashed his teeth.

"I went around searching for her everywhere. Finally, I found out her whereabouts from a hooligan. She was taken away by someone from a local gang. After they had their fill of fun with her, they dug out all her organs and threw her into the river."

Rosalie's heart trembled and her entire body shook. She could almost see that cruel image before her and it made every finger on her hands shake.

Hot tears rolled down Vincent's

cheeks. He wiped them away hard and said through gritted teeth, "Youngie's body was fished out from the river. It was covered with knife slashes. Not an inch was spared. Her organs were all dug out and her body was rotting."

Rosalie hung her head as tears welled up in her eyes. She couldn't stop them from falling.

She wanted to say something to comfort Vincent, but she knew that nothing she said could help him.

She carefully approached him and gently held the back of his hand.
