Broken 'N' Loved

Alpha Michael POV

After I sent the girls away with Kelly, Beta Nick, Gamma James, and I discuss what we have learned from Kelly and The Black Moon Pack. I look at the guys after getting another drink from my bar, "Ok, so we know that Alpha Jack has been killing his kind for money. I also know without a doubt that he will come here to get Kelly back." Beta Nick nods as Gemma James says "We cannot let him have her, Michael. She is so innocent, small, and no one deserve that kind of treatment. Also, Amy has become very fond of her already just in the few hours that she has been here." I look at the drink in my hand as Nick chimes in "Ya, Christy loves her already as a little sister. As we speak, they are all in the Alpha chamber talking to each other. I think Kelly is more comfortable to talk to them than us." I nod "I can see that, considering what she told us and what we already knew about how they treat the females in that pack. We need to be ready to go to war if need be. With how Alpha Jack is with his money, he will come to get her in no time at all." James nods his head "You know the warriors are always ready to fight, especially if they know that it is for a female that is being mistreated." I smile at that because that fact is defiantly true. My pack was raised to treat out females with respect and if they are your mate to treat them like they are your queen. You protect them with your life.

As we are talking, the girls walk back into the office without Kelly. Amy must have seen me looking because she smiles "We gave some PJ's, told her to take a nice long bath, and get some rest." I nod my head at that. James comes over and drapes his arm around her shoulders, just as Nick does to Christy. Nyx whines in my head, "I want to find mate." I must have a sad smile on my face because Nick comes over and pats me on the shoulder, "Don't worry Michael, you will find her. Just give it some time." I agree with him as Christy and Amy start to whisper to each other about something. "Is there something you guys want to share with me? Why are you whispering?" They both sigh heavy, "We learned something else when we were talking to Kelly." Christy nods her head, "She is 17 years old, and doesn't know what a mate is." I look at them in shock. Who does not know what they are? Amy looks up with mixed emotions in her eyes, "We also found out that her birthday is August 12th, and we also found out that she hasn't had her first heat at all yet, which we all know doesn't come till you have found your mate." I look at both of them, looked at the calendar, "That is in two weeks. She will be 18 years old, then. What scares me even more is that we have so many unmated males in this pack, one smell of her heat and they will go into a frenzy." The girls look at me with fear for her. James wraps his arms around Amy to comfort her, "Do not worry, she will be fine. She will just have to stay close to one of us to make sure she is safe. We know that no one would hurt her on purpose here. Just instincts take over our minds when we smell a female in heat." Amy and Christy both look at him and then back at me "The problem we have is not the unmated males here. Our fear comes from the Black moon pack. The males in that pack are the worse. If they get her right before she goes into heat. Only goddess knows what they will do to her." At that statement, Nyx and I promised ourselves we will die protecting her, if it means that she is safe.
