Chapter 35
Lisa p.o.v.
Ace had been acting strange since the past couple of days. I don’t know what it was exactly but it’s getting on my nerves.
“What are you doing?” His voice startled me.
“Jesus Christ what’s wrong with you?” I snap.
“Why are you here? Shouldn’t you be resting?” He walks up to me. I take a deep breath to calm myself.
“Why should I be resting?”
“You’re pregnant.”
“And?” he actually picked me up from the elliptical trainer.
“Isn’t it dangerous for you to do strenuous things?”
“No, it’s actually good to exercise.” He looked a bit skeptical. “You can ask the doctor if you don’t believe me.” I shrugged. He put me down in our room and I went to the bathroom. When I came out he was on the phone saying something in Russian, I think. I don’t know what it was but it sounded so hot. I walked up to him and started kissing him up his neck. He was still on the phone, but now with a smirk on his lips. I unbuttoned his shirt and his arm wrapped tightly around me. He cut the call and pulled me in for a kiss.
“Well, if you are allowed to exercise I can think of some activities.” He wiggled his brows as he led me to the bed taking my clothes off.
“Talk dirty to me in Russian.” I whispered as I straddled him. He smiled and complied. Soon enough we both were sweating, writhing mess, out of breath, lying beside each other.
“Your phone has been going off for half an hour already.” I say trying to catch my breath.
“I had more important things to do.” He answered while biting my ear shell slightly. Sighing he picked up his phone. He sat up abruptly and started gathering his clothes as he handed mine. I didn’t understand what he was saying on the phone but his expression got me worried enough.
“Get dressed and go get Aiden.” Ace said as soon as he cut the line.
“What’s going on Ace?” I said as I got out of bed.
“My men found Peter’s hiding hole. I need you and Aiden safe in case this is a ruse.”
“Ace…”
“Nope. I know what you’re going to say and I don’t want to hear it.”
“But…”
“Daleyza…” he put his hand on my cheek and stared straight into my eyes. “I need you and my children to be safe.” He whispered as his other hand slid over my abdomen. It sent a shiver up my spine. I was shocked for a moment. “Come on. Vik will take you and Aiden to my mom’s.”
He turned around and walked into the closet. I finished up putting my clothes on and went to Aiden’s room.
“Hey monkey. Come on get up, we have to go somewhere.” He rubbed his sleepy eyes and I almost didn’t have it in me to drag him away but I had to. Just then Ace walked in and picked him up. I took some of his things and joined them outside. Vik was already there in one of the cars. Ace put Aiden in and talked with his men.
“Stay safe.” He murmured as he placed a kiss on my head and pushed me toward the car. Before I could even say something he closed the car door and went his way. I pulled Aiden close and held on tight.
“This isn’t the route to the airport.” I said as I noticed one of many turns leading away from our destination.
“We’re just taking a detour.” Vik said not taking his eyes off the road.
“Stop the car Vik. I have to puke.” I demanded.
“It’s not safe.” Was all he grumbled. I tried opening the door or fighting him, but there wasn’t much I could do from the back seat. Not long after the car came to a stop and a group of men surrounded us. I was dragged out of the car as they took Aiden away. I managed to kick two of the men but the others were a bit trickier. I couldn’t get to Aiden in time. They probably had enough and one of the men punched me on my temple. Suddenly there was a ringing sound and everything turned black.
