Chapter Benson 80

Chapter 80 Silent Embrace

Yvonne slipped her hands into the pockets of her loose jacket, her gaze cold and frosty, eager to leave this suffocating place. Just as she turned to go, a strong hand grabbed her arm and she was abruptly pulled into a warm and solid embrace.

“Tomorrow is the divorce, right, my wife?” Benson’s voice was low and slightly teasing in

her ear.

His lips curved into a provocative smile, a subtle challenge in his eyes.

Yvonne pressed her lips together, her face painted with anger and resentment, coldly staring at Benson.

Ignoring his taunts, a flicker of doubt crossed her mind. But Benson gave her no time to react; he suddenly hoisted her over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

This rough behavior fueled Yvonne’s anger even more. She tried to grab his ears, but he seemed unfazed, effortlessly carrying her into the elevator. began to pound his back and Mary, watching from the side, was stunned, clearly shocked by the sudden turn of events.

In the parking lot, Benson placed Yvonne in the back seat of his luxury car and then climbed in himself, his entire body pressing against her.

Yvonne leaned against the soft car seat, unusually not resisting tonight.

She shifted slightly, her back pressing firmly against the car door. “We can still be a couple for one more night. If you want to sleep, go ahead… Even though I find you disgusting, you do look good. I’ll just pretend you’re an esort.”

The atmosphere in the car changed subtly with her words. In the driver’s seat, George stifled a laugh, clearly amused.

Benson’s expression froze. He pushed himself up, his gaze intense and almost suffocating as he stared at Yvonne for a long moment. Finally, he roughly grabbed her chin. “Do your think you’ve won, that I can’t do anything to you?”

Yvonne pushed him away, her expression showing disgust. “Are you going to do it or not? If not, get off me.” The cloying scent of Mary’s perfume filled her nostrils, making her feel extremely repulsed.

Benson merely chuckled, his eyes scanning the men’s down jacket she was wearing.” Actually, neither of us should despise the other

He pulled her close again, pressing her neck to kiss her.

Whether she resisted or not wasn’t his concern

For her, kissing was

the most intimate and beautiful thing.

But at this moment, she felt miserable. It reminded her of the night he was drugged at Benson’s house, when he didn’t kiss her.

It turned out that kissing someone you don’t like makes you want to cry. Benson pulled away from her lips, breathing heavily as he looked at her.

Clearly, she was in his arms, their lips just inches apart… but seeing her tear–filled eyes, sh seemed so far away.

“It’s not like that with her!” he said, his fingers gently stroking her cheek.

Yvonne didn’t respond. She really didn’t like this kind of intimacy and moved away from

him.

He, however, grabbed her waist, his eyes full of dominance. Forget it, she didn’t want to be pretentious about this anymore. He could do whatever he wanted.

Her disbelief made Benson feel defeated. “I’m serious,” he insisted.

“I’ll believe you if you let her face the punishment she deserves,” Yvonne replied.

Benson’s lips tightened, his face becoming particularly deep and stern.

Yvonne’s hand rested on his shoulder as she looked at Benson with a smile, her fingers lightly tracing his facial features like a little fox.

Benson’s Adam’s apple bobbed. She had never looked at him like this before, her smile filled with charm.

“Yvonne, come home with me, okay?” he asked, sitting up, their bodies closely pressed together.

“Don’t even think about it. We’re getting divorced. There’s no home. Even if that was a home, what did you ever give me there?” she asked. “Is there one thing… I can remember as a beautiful memory?”

There wasn’t. Not a single ordinary thing between a husband and wife.

The phone in Yvonne’s pocket started ringing. Her fingers trembled as she fumbled to pull it out from her tight jeans.

The screen flashed the name “Marcus.” She took a deep breath and answered, “Hello, Marcus.”

The night breeze outside the car carried a hint of moisture and slight chill, while inside the car was a stifling warmth. Marcus’s voice came through, sounding concerned, “Are you okay?”

Yvonne forced a smile. “I’m fine: Where are you? Have you been drinking?” Her eyes

remained locked on Benson’s cold gaze. Even though his words might be degrading and insulting, she no longer cared.

“Walt there for me. Have your driver take the clini

was as calm as possible. When she stood up from Benson’s lap, he made no move to stop her, only watching her with a complex expression.

“George, take me over there. My car is there,” Yvonne said, picking up her bag and coat, quickly putting them on.

Benson remained silent, his eyes reflecting endless thoughts and confusion.

George observed everything, feeling deeply conflicted but finally turned to look at Benson.” Boss…”

Benson was silent for a long time before speaking in a low, firm voice, “From now on, we’ll all listen to the lady boss.”

Yvonne ignored his words, leaning against the car window, her gaze lost in the cold winter night of Las Vegas.

The neon lights outside the car window and the streetlights through the glass illuminated her face, a beauty that could intoxicate anyone, even as all her emotions were frozen in

this moment.

Benson pursed his lips and finally looked away, saying nothing more.

The car eventually stopped at the club entrance. Yvonne quickly got out, holding Marcus’s down jacket, and walked towards him.

Benson watched through the car window as she handed the jacket back to Marcus. Marcus, standing at the door, put the jacket on with a flourish, looking very pleased.

Yvonne stood under the streetlight, quietly watching him, a faint smile on her face. Marcus sensed her unusual emotions, bowed his head in thought for a moment, then opened his arms. “Come on, let me give you a friend’s hug.

Tears that had been held back now shimmered in her eyes. She thought of her husband, who never comforted her when she needed it.

“I’m joking,” Marcus said, laughing to cover the awkwardness.

He felt guilty for putting her in such a difficult situation. Yvonne slowly walked towards him, finally unable to hold back and hugged him, her tears silently falling.

Marcus understood that she must have had a dispute with Benson. Such crying could only come from extreme grievance and helplessness. He didn’t ask more, just gently patted her back, trying to offer some warmth and comfort

Benson, watching from inside the car, frowned deeply, his eyes heavy.

George glanced back at him. “Boss, maybe you should divorce her? If she could, she wouldn’t want to be like this… With no one to protect her and no one to love her, she has to scheme and handle things herself.”

A sudden pain struck Benson’s heart. He realized he had always ignored her feelings, only remembering her ability to handle things alone, forgetting that she was just 26 years old.

Such an embrace, he could have given her, but he never thought she was important. enough to deserve it.
