Chapter Benson 67

Chapter 67 A Ticket to Miami

Benson stepped into the lobby of Agya Films, and a blast of cold air greeted him, as if eve the air was reminding him that this was not his domain.

Megan, the receptionist who always wore a profess mal smile, was no exception toda

She shook her head slightly, her voice carrying an undeniable firmness: “Miss Yvonne is i a meeting and is not available to see visitors.”

“I’ll wait for her,” Benson said calmly. His voice was steady, as if everything was within hi expectations.

He walked towards the guest area and gracefully took a seat on the sofa, like a lead acto waiting for his performance, unhurried and composed.

He wore a brown turtleneck sweater paired with black suit pants. His posture was relaxed and every move exuded an effortless elegance,

Megan couldn’t help but secretly admire him. He truly was a handsome man, with his refined face and slender build, a perfect match for Miss Yvonne.

Time ticked by, and an hour had passed since Yvonne left Benson downstairs. Yet, he maintained his initial calm, showing no sign of impatience.

This surprised George greatly. Benson, a man who had always been the center of attention wherever he went, had never shown such patience before.

Just then, Mary’s assistant returned from outside and immediately spotted Benson sitting on the sofa. Her eyes lit up with excitement as she walked over, “Mr. Benson, are you here to pick up Mary?”

Benson lifted his eyes slightly, his gaze carrying a distant detachment, “No.” His reply was brief and direct, causing the assistant to shiver involuntarily and leave hurriedly without daring to ask more questions.

Mary wasn’t in good shape today, and her shooting performance was less than

satisfactory. During a makeup break, the assistant quietly approached her and whispered, ” Mary, I just saw Mr. Benson.”

“Oh?” Mary’s voice held a trace of barely perceptible tension, “Why is he here?”

“He’s not here to pick you up. He seems to be looking for Yvonne,” the assistant whispered even lowe

Hearing this, Mary’s mood worsened. Her brow furrowed, and a complex emotion flashed in her eyes.

“What should we do?” the assistant cautiously asked.

Mary was silent for a moment, then whispered something in the assistant’s ear. The

assistant nodded, “Got it, I understand.”

As the assistant left, Mary’s gaze once again fell on Benson.

Her heart was filled with confusion and unease, unsure of what this man was up to.

Benson, however, continued to sit quietly, as if all the commotion around him had nothing to do with him, his eyes fixed on the yet–to–appear Yvonne.

When Yvonne emerged from the meeting room, her ears were immediately filled with the whispers of her employees. She heard quite a few rumors about Benson and Mary.

years a

“They’ve known each other for six have been dating for five. Mr. Benson came to pick up Miss Mary himself. It’s really enviable, a young female employee whispered to her colleague, her eyes sparkling with envy.

“I heard from the reception that Mr. Benson has been waiting for over an hour,” another employee chimed in, their tone filled with surprise and admiration.

“That’s not true…” Yvonne muttered to herself, but she didn’t stop, heading straight to her

office.

Once in her office, Yvonne put down her files and sighed softly. She looked around and then said to her assistant, “Alright, you can go home now.”

“But Mr. Benson…” the assistant hesitated.

“I’ll handle it,” Yvonne said firmly. She grabbed her bag, adjusted her collar, and headed

downstairs.

Many of the company’s employees were big fans of Mary, and a crowd had gathered around her, seeking autographs and photos.

The entire lobby was bustling like a fan meet–and–greet event.

Fans, armed with cameras and autograph books, eagerly surrounded Mary, hoping to capture a precious moment with their idol.

Mary leaned against Benson, looking blissfully happy, as if the whole world existed for them.

However, Benson’s expression was not as pleasant. His brow was slightly furrowed, seemingly annoyed by the sudden commotion.

Yvonne stood quietly to the side, her eyes reflecting a complex mix of emotions.

Her husband, at her workplace, without any regard for discretion, weighed heavily on her mind.

Benson’s gaze finally landed on Yvonne through the crowd.

He seemed to want to go to her, but as he lifted his foot to take a step, Mary clung tightly. to his waist, stopping him.

Chapter 07 A Taketta Mome

Yvonne looked away, deciding not to stay in this troubling place any longer, and headed towards the door.

Just then, Bella came rushing towards her with a large bouquet of flowers, waving.

energetically. “Princess, these flowers are for you,” Bella’s voice was filled with enthusiasm and joy.

A large bouquet of pink roses was thrust into Yvonne’s arms, and she chuckled softly, “Why are you giving me flowers, especially these? Her tone was playful.

“To cheer up my princess, unlike some people who only bring trouble,” Bella said loudly, clearly aiming for Benson to hear, her eyes gleaming with provocation.

Benson couldn’t leave; he could only watch helplessly as Yvonne and Bella walked away. His heart was filled with frustration and anger, but he knew there was nothing he could do at that moment, only letting them go.

Bella got into Yvonne’s car, a hopeful smile on her face, “Princess, let me take you on a trip.

“A trip? Why? It’s almost the end of the year, and the company is really busy,” Yvonne’s tone was weary, indicating the heavy work pressure she was under.

“Just three or four days, the company won’t collapse. Relax a bit, okay?” Bella blinked her eyes and leaned on Yvonne’s shoulder, pleading, “Please, I really want to go on a trip with you.

‘Where to?” Yvonne seemed softened by Bella’s plea, her tone a bit more relaxed.

‘Somewhere to unwind. How about Miami?” Bella suggested, her eyes shining with anticipation for the trip.

“Is this Marcus’s idea?” Yvonne asked, her tone carrying a hint of caution.

Bella frowned, “You’re no fun.” She seemed unhappy with Yvonne’s suspicion.

“Why are you delivering messages and flowers for Marcus?” Yvonne disapproved, remembering they had agreed not to meet. What was this?

“Bella, I’m still married,” Yvonne reminded her, with a hint of helplessness in her voice.

‘I know, but he’s not coming along. He just thought you seemed down and asked me to take you out for some fun,” Bella explained, her tone filled with concern.

Yvonne sighed, “Is he… okay?” She seemed a bit worried about Marcus.

Bella shook her head, “Not sure. He suddenly contacted me this afternoon, asked me to bring you these flowers, and gave me two tickets to Miami for tomorrow.”
