Chapter 86
Alicia felt that she was so unlucky today that it could not be described in words. As she thought of this, she got dejected again. She wiped her tears and sobbed like a child. "I'm so unlucky. I lost my wallet and my phone. Moreover, I was scolded by a random man. He even splashed water all over me. My clothes, my bag, are all ruined..." she muttered.
As she thought of this, Alicia was so angry that she could not stop crying. She told him the whole story whilst stammering.
Hearing this, Frederick was amused. She was indeed such a girly woman!
How could she cry over something like this?
He took the cup from her hand and placed it elsewhere. Frederick hugged her and said, "All right, all right! Everything is fine as long as you are alright!"
"But, but... my cell phone, my ID card, and my money. I had a lot of cash. I was just issued 2,000 dollars as a bonus-" she complained. She did not have time to deposit it, and she was reluctant to spend it either!
She thought of the process of reapplying the credit cards, her ID card, and her bus card. Whenever she thought about her loss earlier, she was so distressed that her heart ached. All the work she had done with her mother during the day had all
gone in vain.
He initially thought that she was frightened and felt wronged, but it turned out that she was worried about her money.
Frederick rolled his eyes and poked her forehead. "So, all you are worried about is the money?"
Were 2,000 dollars enough to make her cry like this?
"That's enough! I'll find someone to help you set up a new phone and apply for a new ID card! I'll even give you some money as comfort! How old are you? Why are you crying over such a small amount of money!" he told her.
"I feel sad about it! Should I call the police? Should I report about my money being stolen? How can I be so unlucky? I even have a bank card with 20,000 dollars in it! I also have a gift card which is worth a lot..."
She fiddled with her fingers and counted. Alicia burst into tears again. "That would be at least three thousand dollars! Am I really that unlucky?"
This money was enough to pay for a week's installment for her father's medical bills! She was really unfortunate! The more she needed money, the more misfortunes she would face!
"What a little miser! Does she love money that much?" he wondered. How could she care so much about such a small amount of money?
Frederick tapped her forehead.
"I will ask someone to send you a new phone later. As for your gift cards, don't worry too much about it. As for your bank cards, transfer your money to another account. If you don't have one, then just forget about it. We'll get a new card, and just forget about your old account! I'll give you double the amount that you have lost. Is that okay? Don't cry anymore! You look ugly when you cry!1' he said.
Frederick turned around and made a phone call. Alicia muttered, "How is that the same?"
He was willing to give her money. No matter what, she would feel like the money did not belong to her. She would just owe him another favor!
She could have just shrugged off the small amount of money that she had lost, and treat it as an expensive lesson for her! However, when she thought of the money in her bank cards and all the gift cards, she still felt distressed! Fortunately, she had deleted the Amazon app on her phone. Otherwise, she would have more worries!
Alicia placed her hands together devoutly and prayed silently!
Frederick turned around and saw her serious look. He shook his head helplessly.
He said, "I'll send it to you in a minute!"
"That fast?" she asked.
When she opened her eyes, Alicia was shocked as she wondered, "It's a weekend night. Can he replace my card so quickly?"
"Don't worry! I will definitely bring it to you before you fall asleep! No one will want your money! Just forget about your worries!" he told her.
"Okay!" Alicia was very happy. Thus, she nodded. Although he had only said a few words to her, she firmly believed in him. She did not know why either. "Achoo-" she sneezed.
"What's wrong? Did you catch a cold? Why did you come out when your hair is still wet?" Frederick was concerned as he brushed her hair and realized that it was still a little wet. He turned around and went into the bathroom. He then brought a hairdryer out.
"It's okay! I... I'll do it myself!"
Alicia felt a little embarrassed. She wanted to take over the hairdryer, but Frederick kept her sitting on the chair. He picked up a handful of hair and gently dried it for her.
As his serious figure was reflected in the mirror, Alicia felt like her heart was being hit by something heavy. He was drying her hair, and Frederick was even toying with her soft hair. She was somewhat fond of it She got up, and Alicia looked back at him with a blush on her face.
Frederick held her delicate face and could not help but give her a kiss on her lips. "Are you hungry?"
Alicia nodded and touched her belly. After a busy day, she was starving!
"Let's go down and eat something!"
Frederick turned around, but Alicia pulled his wrist and said, "Hubby-"
Frederick stroked her hair and smiled, "It's okay. This is your home too! Relax! I'm here!"
"Then I'll... change my clothes!".
Frederick's uncle's family was still there. She felt that she was dressed too casually. Hence, she changed into a more formal shirt and a skirt.
Before she buttoned up, her slender waist was held by him. "I suddenly don't feel like going down anymore!".
A gentle kiss fell on her shoulder, and Frederick's voice was mixed with some other emotions.
One of Alicia's hands was still pressing on the button of her skirt. She turned around and gently pushed him away. "Stop it. We will be a joke to them later!"
If she made any noise at this hour, she would really be embarrassed to enter the Clements family in the future. She would be so ashamed!
She rubbed her face in his embrace coquettishly and said, "Well do whatever you like at night, okay? Hubby, please do me this favor!"
She leaned sideways, tucked in her shirt and zipped her skirt. Frederick pulled her with a little force and kissed her on the cheeks. When she did not put on any makeup, she looked young. She appeared naive and lovely!
Then, he took her hand. The two of them were not in a hurry as they headed downstairs.
Almost all of the dishes were served in the dining room. It was in the form of a self-serving dinner. After taking a plate, Frederick took Alicia to the corner of the barbecue table. There were servants who helped in roasting the meats. However, some of them still did it on their own while others only sat down and ate. They were gathered in groups of two or three.
He took some vegetables, shrimps, and mutton. Frederick asked, "What else do you want to eat?"
"Some corn and fish would be nice!" she suggested.
"Alright!"
When Frederick turned around, he saw Trevor handing them a plate of mixed food.
"Thanks!" he said.
After receiving it, Frederick casually took over the tongs in Alicia's hand. Trevor looked at Alicia, who was leaning against Frederick from behind.
He then joked, "The power of love is really amazing!" How could a man who hated women the most, speak up for a woman, not to mention start an argument for her? This woman was really not simple! Frederick glanced at Trevor. "Wasn't that what you've always told me?"
Trevor changed the women around him every day. As long as someone questioned him, he would always reply with the same word-love! It was just that his love would last for less than a month! He could respond with a grin.
After laughing, Trevor picked up a glass of red wine and handed it over. The two of them gave each other a toast, and then they both drank the wine. At this time, Mrs. Clement's voice was heard. "Ally!"
