Alpha's Cursed Luna

Chapter 50

ELEANOR

“I'm ready.” I announce.

Devin gave Sam a small nod and he sauntered over to my direction, stopping when he was only a few inches away from me.

He took out a pair of cuffs which made the floor quake with Elijah’s thunderous growl.

“Is that really necessary?” He asked angrily.

Devin paused. Sam turning to face him when both their eyes glowed, indicating they have mind- linked.

Sam withdrew with his cuffs and instead gestured for me to follow him.

I nod at Elijah who kept throwing me a worried look since I walked our from the bathroom door. He walked with us only until we reached a fancy limousine parked right outside the packhouse. "Don't be afraid, Luna. Alex will come for you soon,” Elijah leaned on the car door after it closed.

I gave him a weak smile, praying he doesn't.

The car engine roared to life. I nodded at Elijah and he stepped away from the car. His hands shoved inside his pockets and I saw his eyes glow bright gold.

He must be mindlinking Alexander to inform him I'd been taken away.

I leaned back in my seat. Suddenly, I noticed something from the corner of my eye. Before the car drove off, I caught Adrian looking down at me through the window pane. He was still in my bedroom situated on the second floor.

I squinted my eyes at him, and I feel my heart rate quicken. He was grinning at me the exact same way when he crawled to my bed.

Devin, who sat in the driver's seat and had access to the car windows, rolled up my window slowly. Moments later I was rolling away from the pack house, but the image of Adrian still remained intact inside my mind.

An awkward silence enveloped the air, and neither Sam nor Louie wanted to start up a conversation. Devin cleared his throat, glancing at me through the front mirror.

“You may not have any evidence to show for yourself, but I don't think you're a liar.” He says and I say nothing. Keeping my head low as I stared at my lap.

The car continued to roll in silence until we reached a huge gate.

Sam opened the door for me. I hopped out feeling my body tremble in the sudden cold from the strong, blowing wind brushing through my hair, along my skin.

I felt goosebumps starting to form on both my arms.

Wrapping my small hands around my body, I let out a heavy breath. Sam then gestured at me to follow them and I trudged behind him.

The building was huge, like way too huge to be called a packhouse.

Devin had told me this was like a court combined with a city jail for werewolves.

I nodded but kept my lips glued shut.

Devin led me to a brightly-lit room. The walls were grey and the ceiling too. The room was empty except for the small table coupled with two chairs situated right in the middle of the room. On the table, I saw a pen as well as two or three documents lying there.

Devin ushered me inside and I stepped in, suddenly feeling all claustrophobic. The room was tight. It reminds me of all those times Mike would lock me in very tight spaces, way tighter than this room. For reasons unknown. I bet Mike only did that though to satisfy his ego. Because often times I'd prove him wrong. And every damn time he would kick me and punch me in the gut. Throw me in places like inside the kitchen cabinet, under the staircase, the janitor room, or even the closet. A weak smile crept to my lips as I recalled the river of tears I cried when I was locked in any one of those places. Begging for forgiveness.

“Take a seat.” I do as he says and wait for his next instruction.

I sat there for what felt like eternity. Answering each damn question he throws at me when he suddenly picked up the documents laid on the table. He gives me a sharp look I couldn't bear to meet.

What the hell have I done?

“Do you know that you're pack’s been attacked?”

I gasped. My body trembled at his words.

I stared at him wide-eyed, hoping that for some reason, he's lying.

"Wh-what? When?" My lips quivered as I spoke. Standing up, I'd slammed my hands on the table but the loud bang didn’t even make him flinch in his seat. It only made him shoot me a pointed glare.

“Please sit back down Ms. Raven.”

A disturbing feeling of unease settled in my heart, but I reluctantly sat down with my eyes still pinned on Devin who sat back with his legs crossed in front of him.

“The Blue Mountains pack has had a rogue attack last Wednesday, 13th of April. They've killed half the population of your omegas, including a large number of females and wolf pups. Equivalent to nearly two-hundred wolves.”

I gnashed my teeth, biting my inner cheeks as I let his words slowly sink in.

Omegas... Dead?

“Thing is, the rogues only attacked.. Killed omegas of your pack.” He continued.

I stared hard at him for a few moments, finding myself at a loss for words as I sat there, thinking. Was it the curse? Was it because there were traces of my existence left in there that even my own pack had to suffer from it?

Does this mean that wherever I go, I cause nothing but...chaos?

“Don't say that... We don’t know for sure if it's the curse that did this’

I balled my hands on my lap, clamping my tight blue jeans gritting my teeth.

“Would you rather we stick around here longer to find out? Until we also wreak havoc in Alexander's pack?’

Ares fell silent, and I felt her withdraw herself to the back of my mind. I hear her whines. Feel her pain.

I jerked when fingers snapped in front of my face. I opened my eyes hoping I'm seeing shit.

Devin was staring at me with a weird look on his face I couldn't quite place my finger on.

"Are you okay?" He asks, concern flashing in his sky blue eyes to which I blushed, embarrassed. He was talking to me but it seems I just sat here, staring at him without a visible expression on my face. "Err... Yes, sorry” I blurted out.

“I was just saying, if you know anything that could help us with this case, let me know.” He says now giving me a serious look.

I gulped, nodding.

Would he believe me if I told him about the curse?

I doubt it. The curse of the blood wolf is known only within my own pack. After all, it's where the curse originated. Whatever information other packs had about it was immediately purged by someone unknown to contain it within the Blue Mountains pack. Since then, it has become a pack secret, but until now, no one knows I was the cursed blood wolf living amongst them. Thanks to my father who planned to sell me off and realize his ambitions.

The door busted open, pulling me out of my thoughts. I whip my head towards the door.

Louie marched in the room with a wide grin plastered on his face.

"Roberts, can't you do one simple thing as to knock?” Devin says irritably. He shoots him a piercing glare whilst Louie just rolled his eyes.

"Oh, my bad... Anyway,” He shrugs off Devin's glare and instead marches over towards me.

“I've come to take you to your cell,” He flashed me a cocky grin before pulling out a pair of cuffs from his back pocket. I froze.

The chair screeched as Devin rose from his seat, grabbing Louie's hand.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing Roberts?” He spats, gripping Louie's arm until I saw a trickle of blood rise on the spot Devin’s nails dug on his flexing arm.

“Following fucking orders, boss” The word boss came out forced from Louie's mouth before they shared a challenging look. Tension filled the room after a fee more moments of then staring each other down. Neither one is determined to back down when the door burst open once again.

As soon as Sam landed his gaze on both men, he lets out an exasperated sigh. Rolling his eyes and stepping in with his arms crossed against his chest.

"Are you two done? We're given new orders to investigate the rogue attack. We leave in five.” Sam says firmly before spinning around and exiting the room. I stood up, gawking at the same bulky men who refuse to back down from a fight.

“Let go of my arm, Devin.”

Devin grunts, tossing his arm away harshly like he’s touched a roach.

Stirring away from his spot with annoyance etching his face, Louie darted his eyes straight to me and I gulped.

From the corner of my eye, I could see Devin still standing there glaring sharply at Louie.

“Hands.”

I hesitantly show my hands and the next moment, he yanked my wrists towards him. Cuffing them whilst he looked into my eyes. An evil smirk crept to his lips. He leaned his face to my ear and whispered, “Don’t worry. He told me to take good care of you, princess”

My body stiffens but Louie swiftly whirled around me. Shoving me to the door.

Fear took its place in my heart as a dark image of Mike's face pops up in my mind.

I glance at Devin who gives me a small nod. Gulping, I take my first step to follow Louie out of the room. He grins and shoved me in front him once we get to the hallway.

I peer at him over my shoulder and caught him looking around. I travel my eyes to my surroundings as well and confirmed we are now alone.

The next thing I know, his hand traveled around the hem of my top, slipping inside and palming one of my breasts. I gasped and froze in that instant.

"Wh-What are you doing?” I stutter out.

I hear his soft chuckles as he pressed his cheek on my ear, caging me in his brawny arms where I struggled.

The feel of his breath against my ear made my skin crawl in utter disgust.

He chuckled again and let out a long sigh.

“Oh you should know how much Mike payed me to screw your ass, princess” His grip tightened around my waist.

Breathe. Eleanor, breathe.

I feel my wolf's rage push several buttons I haven't really noticed before.

"And you know... I've been wanting to do it for free.” He began fiddling with my buttons. The sound of his ragged breaths let me know he was eager to devour me.

My mouth opened and I let a low growl escape my lips.

“Not now, Ares’

No...Not now.

I could feel her wanting to surface. I could feel her desperation. Her need to shift.

“Let me out!’ She growled and it took everything I had to push her back into the depths within me. For a moment, my wolf stops from struggling. She sniffs, pacing back and forth breathlessly.

Just then, I was smelling the most delicious and intoxicating scent of fresh pine and mint lingering in the air.

I stopped, frozen.

No, no, no, no, no, no.

“MATE!

He's here.

My mate is here.
