Chapter Sixty–Three: Goodbyes Are Hard
Kiara’s POV:
The grand ballroom, once filled with the sounds of chatter and laughter, was now reduced to a gentle hum as the crowd started to disperse. I watched as the room began to empty, leaving only my family and Kayden and Jayden’s parents. My heart was full, and it felt like it would burst from the sheer amount of love and joy I felt.
My parents, Albert and Clarise, and my brothers, Kelix, Phoenix, and Helix, were all there, their eyes shining with pride and happiness. And Helix, were all there, their alongside them, the Alpha Kings‘ parents, Rowco and Diana, who were now my parents too.
The realization hit me hard; this was my family, my new extended family. And despite the overwhelming sense of responsibility that came with being Luna Queen, it was moments like these that made it all worth it.
Rowco and Diana were the first to approach me, their faces filled with warmth. Diana, a woman of grace and strength, looked at me with a loving gaze.
“Kiara,” she began, her voice soft and gentle
“We are so delighted to welcome you into our family. We knew you were special from the moment our sons first mentioned you.”
Rowco, a formidable Alpha in his own right, nodded in agreement, his stern features softened with affection.
“Our boys have always been discerning. We knew she would be extraordinary when they told us they had found their mate. But you, Kiara, you have exceeded all our expectations.”
Hearing their heartfelt words, I felt a lump forming in my throat. I blinked back the tears threatening to spill over and whispered,
“Thank you, both of you. It means the world to me to be accepted and loved by you.”
Next, my family came forward, their eyes brimming with a mixture of pride and sadness. My mother, Clarise, was trying her best to hold back her tears, but the shimmer in her eyes betrayed her.
“Look at you, our little Kiara, our Kiki, all grown up and a Queen,” she whispered, her voice choked with emotion.
“Your father and I… we’re so proud of you.”
My father, Albert, wrapped his arm around my mother, his own eyes. glistening.
“You’ve come a long way, princess. And while it’s hard to let go, knowing you’re loved and cherished by King Kayden and King Jayden makes it easier.” He said, tears brimming his eyes.
I had always been daddy’s little girl. Leaving him would be the hardest
of it all.
Next, it was my brothers‘ turn. Kelix, Phoenix, and Helix, all three of them, towered over me, their eyes filled with brotherly affection.
Kelix ruffled my hair, a fond smile on his face.
“Always knew you were destined for greatness, Ki. Just… don’t forget us now that you’re a Queen, okay?”
Phoenix hugged me next, his grip firm but gentle.
“We’re going to miss you, Kiki. But we know you’re in good hands. Just… promise us you’ll visit often, okay?” He said, sadness laced his voice.
I nodded. Hugging him back hard as I sniffled.
And then came Helix, the youngest of the three. His eyes, so much like mine, were watery, but he blinked back the tears.
“I’ll miss you the most, Ki. You’ve got to come and visit us, okay? And maybe… bring King Kayden and King Jayden along? I could use some

tips from the Alpha Kings.” He said, winking. But the sadness in his voice was clear as day and dagger to my heart.
Me and Helix had always been close. Closer than Phoneix and Felix.
Their words, filled with love and the promise of future reunions, touched me deeply. Even though we would be apart, our bonds would remain unbroken. Our love for each other was unyielding and infinite, not bound by distance or time.
With a final round of hugs and goodbyes, my family left, leaving me alone with my mates. As the reality of their departure set in, I felt an odd mix of happiness and sorrow. But above all, I felt loved and loved by my family, my mates, and my newfound parents.
As the final echoes of their farewells faded away, Kayden and Jayden wrapped their arms around me, their warmth seeping into me. Their presence was comforting, a soothing balm to the poignant goodbyes.
“We are your family too, Kiara,” Kayden murmured, pressing a soft k*ss to my temple. “And we’ll always be here for you.”
Jayden echoed his words, his voice a whisper in the silent room.
“We love you, Kiara. You’re not just our mate, our Queen… you’re a part of us, of our hearts.”
With their heartfelt words wrapping around me like a warm blanket, I knew I was home. With them, I was loved. With them, I was family.
The world seemed to fade away as Kayden and Jayden held me close. The warmth of their bodies against mine was intoxicating, the beating of their hearts synchronizing with my own. It was a moment of utter peace, a tranquil stillness that I wanted to sink into, to savour.
The intensity of Kayden’s gaze made my breath hitch, his blue eyes darkening as they bore into mine. The air between us was crackling with a palpable tension, the longing evident in his gaze. Slowly, almost in a trance, I found myself leaning into him, drawn to him like a moth to a flame.
As if on cue, Jayden mirrored my actions, his grey eyes burning with the same intensity. Their gaze was locked onto my lips, their breathing shallow and uneven. I could sense their restraint, the struggle to keep their primal urges in check. But I wasn’t afraid. I trusted them. I wanted them.
Unable to resist any longer, I leaned in, my heart pounding in my chest. The moment our lips met, everything else fell away. The world ceased to exist, leaving just us.
The moment our lips met, a spark ignited, setting off a blaze of passion that threatened to consume us. Our hearts raced in synchrony, the sound deafening in the hushed silence of the room. The world ceased to exist; it was just Kayden, Jayden and I, intertwined in a passionate. embrace that spoke volumes of our shared love.
Kayden’s lips were soft, tender, as they moved in sync with mine, each brush a melody that sent shivers of pleasure down my spine. Jayden’s k*ss was intense, fervent, as though each touch, each caress was a silent confession of his love. It was a symphony of emotions, the notes

echoing through the silence, leaving us breathless.
But just as things were about to escalate, as I felt my knees weakening and my senses blurring, a series of coughs echoed through the room, jarring us back to reality.
Pulling away, I turned to find Rex and JJ standing in the doorway, their faces glowing with amusement. Their eyes sparkled with mirth, their lips twisted into knowing grins. An awkward silence stretched between us, the soft blush creeping up my ch*eks the only evidence of the interruption.
“Didn’t mean to interrupt the make–out session,” JJ said, his voice filled with unmasked amusement.
The corners of his lips twitched, as though he was holding back a burst of laughter.
“But we’ve got a movie night planned, remember?” Rex added, his gaze shifting between his brothers and me.
His tone was casual, but the mischievous glint in his eyes was impossible to miss. Kayden and Jayden growled in annoyance, their brows furrowing in irritation. Their chests rose and fell with their heavy breaths, the intoxicating scent of their arousal still lingering in the air. But despite their evident frustration, I couldn’t help but chuckle, the tension dissolving into a bubble of laughter.
“I guess movie night sounds fun,” I admitted, gently untangling myself from their arms.

Their gazes followed me as I walked towards the movie room, eyes filled with a promise of things to come. The evening was still young, and the night was filled with possibilities. And even though the passion–filled encounter had come to an abrupt halt, there was no denying the spark that was ignited, the anticipation that filled the air
However, as I excused myself to use the restroom, the last thing I expected was to bump into Aiden. His face was a mask of conflicting emotions, his eyes holding a look of regret, longing, and a hint of anger that I hadn’t seen before.
“Aiden,” I murmured, taken aback by his sudden appearance. But before I could say anything more, he cut me off.
“Kiara, we need to talk,” he said, his voice grave.
Caught in the dimly lit corridor, with Aiden’s troubled gaze on me, I felt a sudden chill creep down my spine. The words hung heavy between us, marking the beginning of a conversation I wasn’t sure I was ready to have.
