Chapter 160
Chapter 160.
Chapter Filly: One Last Chance
Kiara, at the age of Seventeen
Four days before her eighteenth birthday
Kayden POV:
As Jayden and I sat in our office, the only thought that ran through my mind was that we were idiots. If there was a word in the multiverse that could describe utter stupidity, Jayden and I would be the explanation. Everything was going perfectly, we were wooing our mate, our future Luna, and we blew all the time and effort we had put in during the past few days just because our possessiveness got the best of us.
Over the years, we had been dickwads towards Kiara in so many situations regarding any male wolves. When it came to battle strategies and wars, bring it on: Jayden and I were beasts at that, pun intended. But with our hardly five–foot–four–inch soon–to–be mate, we were idiots.
How could one mess up so much despite heading millions of wolves?
Ugh!
This shit was f*cking crazy!
It wasn’t as if we didn’t trust Kiara. We did! It was that excuse of an alpha, Aiden Black, that we didn’t trust. It wasn’t even us; everyone in Kiara’s life felt that way. But my sweetheart was too damn stubborn with a heart of gold to realize that the pup saw her more than a friend.
So naive!
So innocent!
So ours!
We knew our little mate was avoiding us today due to the lack of answers Jayden and I were giving her. It wasn’t like we could tell her upfront who she was to us. Wolf‘ Law was strict; despite one mate knowing who their mate was, we could not confront them until they came of age, and not to mention, we had protected her for so long we couldn’t have our enemies finding out and planning an attack. We wanted to present her to court and the multiverse as our mated and marked Luna queen so she was protected and we could feel her in case of danger. Just thinking about ravishing that plump body with curves in all the right places, with the face of an angel and lips that would look fan–f*cking–tastic wrapped around cocks. My dick twitched in my pants at the thought. But what had happened a few days ago and the

effort she was putting in to avoid us made that dream seem far more away than it should be.
It had been nearly ten years since Jayden, and I had sex with anyone. After finding out Kiara was our mate, we stopped, ending our playboy ways. Just the thought of a male wolf touching our mate would send us in furry, so we knew Kiara would feel the same as she grew. We respected her and loved her too much to let her go through that. However, that didn’t f*cking mean we were okay with her hanging around horny as f*ck male teenage wolves.
First, it was that Jacob kid from her pack, and her best friend, the way they used to cling to one another had us grinding our molar. Comical, really, the mighty alpha kings bothered by a pipsqueak of a kid. Then came Rex, that was the most annoying, especially knowing the little shit had a crush on her and wanted her to be his mate. At least with Jacob, they had a brother and sister type bond. If it were up to us, we would beat that little shit Rex up and tell him to back off, even though we loved the hellion like no tomorrow, he was a pain in our asses. But we had to hold back until the shit had grown up a bit before we could tell him. When we finally did, to say he was heartbroken was an understatement. I truly felt sorry for the kid. But the goddess had someone else for somewhere out there, and once they met, he would know how amazing it felt. I was broken out of my thoughts when the said disrespectful hellion bragged into our room, shadowed by Tim and Chris.

“Just because you’re a prince and our brother doesn’t mean we won’t rip you a new one if you annoy us?” I grumbled.
Kay and I had enough to deal with, so I definitely didn’t need the little shit’s snarky ass comments, and with the smirk playing on his lips, I knew whatever he was going to say would annoy us.
Little shit!
“Whoa! Calm down, ladies,” He said.
Rex flashed us an impish grin, settling himself comfortably on the plush armchair across our desk. His gaze travelled between us, clearly amused at our flustered state.
“I just came to share a piece of wisdom if you’re willing to listen.”
“We’re all ears, oh wise one,” I replied, my tone dripping with sarcasm.
His smile never faltered, Rex continued,
“If you want to get back into Kiara’s good books, you’re going to have to do something big, and by big, I mean a grand gesture.”
Kayden frowned and said,
“We’re already planning something for her eighteenth birthday.”

“Ah yes, your secret plan.” Rex rolled his eyes. “But you need to understand, Kiara is upset with you, and not because of some big secret you’re keeping from her. She knows you’ll eventually tell her as promised. She’s upset because she feels like you’re not respecting her or her friendships.”
I felt a pang in my chest at his words.
Was that what Kiara thought?
