Chapter Forty–Two: Warrior Scholarship Final Test Part Two

Kiara, at the age of fifteen

Kiara POV:

I groaned as I got my from the ground; my opponent, whatever her name was on the floor. I winced as I touched my face, I could feel it swelling up, not to mention the blood that was dripping from my forehead, making it hard to see. The girl had done a number on me. Not to mention how persistent she was. I legit think we fought for a solid hour. She packed punch after punch as I dodged and blocked them; I had gotten a few hits in as well to make sure I wasn’t the only one branded in black and blue. She had a big cut running from her check down to her chin with multiple bruises on her body as I did. She was still trying to get up, but there was no point, I had already won, and Gamma Chris had already announced me as the winner.

I winced as I tried walking towards the changing room. I could see JJ and Rex trying to get to me, but Beta Tim stopped them. They seemed pissed off, I could hear them arguing with him to let them pass, but I wasn’t exactly sure what they were saying because of the ringing in my ears, but Beta Tim stood like a wall in front of them, not letting them.

pass. Why wasn’t he letting them through? I could definitely use a

hand getting to the changing room, not to mention I needed someone to help me clean up because I could hardly move any of my muscles. Since I didn’t have my wolf yet, it would take me hours to heal thoroughly compared to my opponent, who would heal in minutes. Gosh! Eighteen couldn’t come fast enough. I was pulled out of my misery of limping towards the changing room when I felt being lifted bridal style, making me yelp. I was about to punch whoever had touched me but stopped mainly because I could hardly lift my arm and second because it was Gamma Chris.

“I gotcha, little queen. You did amazing!” He said, smiling at me.

“I couldn’t have done it without all of your and Beta Tim’s support over the years,” I said, smiling back at him..

It was true that the warriors had taught us the majority over the years, and Aiden, Rex and JJ had also taught me, but Gamma Chris and Beta Tim went out of there and always took time out of their schedules to help me practice or teach me new skills that weren’t thought to us in class. There was no doubt in my mind if they hadn’t put in that extra help. I wouldn’t be passing with the rest of my class.

He chuckled as he shook his head. He was too humble to take any praise. I honestly wondered how King Kayden and King Jayden ended. up with such great second and third in command. They could learn a thing or two from them about manners and emotions. Speaking of the twins, I had seen them leave a little before the end. I didn’t know if it

was just me, but I swear every time I got hit, they winced as if the hit had hurt them more; you could see the hopelessness in their eyes as if they wanted to stop the whole thing, but I could be wrong I did get hit enough on my head that I probably had a concussion and was

imagining things. I truly believed they thought I would lose, so they lett before the light had finished; it hurt seeing them leave. It was as if I made it a point after I saw them leaving that I would win this, that I wouldn’t take their pity if I lost, plus I promised my three best friends I would give it my all, and I did just that. I didn’t stop; I went in offence. landing blow after blow, not giving the girl an opening to hit me back. However. I was suffering the consequences of it now

I felt myself being lowered, breaking me out of my thoughts of king Kayden and king Jayden. I expected to be seated on the wooded bench,

instead. I felt the softness of the mattress under me, looking

around. I realized I wasn’t in the changing room but what looked like a guest bedroom. maybe. My eyes roamed the entire place in amazement. I had never seen this room before; it was huge, fitting for a king. However, my gawking was cut short when my eyes landed on the twins, and my jaw dropped. What were they doing here? Were they waiting for Gamma Chris to bring me here? I heard Gamma Chris chuckle as he left the room before I could thank him. I tried to sit up, it was rude to be lying down in the presence of the alpha kings, but the moment I tried moving, I winced, and they both rushed towards me, king Kayden pushing me back down as king Jayden adjusted my pillow.
