Chapter 26
Knox
This woman was going to be the death of me, that’s for damn sure. The way she seductively stripped right in front of my face. She was completely naked, standing right in front of me and I barely held it together. I focused harder on her face than I’ve ever focused on anything in my life. But, when she turned around, all I could see was her gorgeous body. Thank the Goddess I had a freezing cold pond to jump into afterwards.
Her thighs were pressed against mine as I drove us back to the cabin on the fourwheeler. Alistair was going mad in my head and I was starting to join him. I had no idea how much longer I could keep my shit together. Navy hopped off the fourwheeler and adjusted her little shorts, pulling them down her juicy legs. Her crop top had rode up even higher on her body so she tugged that down too. I had to look away, my mouth was literally watering.
“Knox?” She said my name so sweetly and her voice was so sexy. The bad thing was, I knew she wasn’t even trying it.
“Yes, my love?” I purred.
“I have a dumb question of my own.” She mimicked me. I turned towards her and took her hand,
“Nonsense. What is it?”
“What’s a s’more?” I laughed loudly at her and she blushed,
“I’m sorry, baby, that’s not dumb, you’re just so cute. Come on, we’ll make some s’mores.” I kept forgetting how little Navy knew about our world.
I grabbed some wood from the shed on my way across the yard, throwing it on top of the already smoldering embers from this morning’s fire. I started the fire up again and settled my mate on the chair. I went inside to gather up the supplies. I came back carrying a tray towering with graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate bars.
“How did you hear about s’mores?” I asked, picking out some good sticks.
“I’ve just heard people talk about it when they talk about having fires.” She shrugged, watching me intently.
“I want to give you every single experience, Navy, anything you want and it’s yours.” I dipped down to give her a quick kiss. She blushed and avoided my eyes.
“What do you do?” She asked, brining my attention back to the task at hand.
“First, you have to roast a marshmallow. Here, just hold it over the fire.” I handed her a stick with a marshmallow already speared on the end.
“Like this?” She shoved the entire stick in the fire. I laughed and grabbed her hand, pulling it away slightly.
“There. You just want the heat to toast it. When you think it’s done, pull it out.” She nodded, watching the marshmallows intensely. I turned my back to prepare another stick.
“How’s this?” She said, making me turn around. I was staring face to face with a marshmallow that was on fire. I quickly grabbed the stick from her hand and threw it on the ground, stomping out the flame. She looked at me in horror,
“Okay, round two.” I laughed, handing her another stick,
“You just want it to be brown, not on fire.” I explained, setting her up again. She nodded, listening hard to my advice. I decided to watch her this time, making sure the marshmallow didn’t get too close to the flame. She pulled it out just in time,
“Perfect!” I cheered, using two graham crackers to pry the marshmallow off the stick. The Hershey chocolate bar was already smashed against one cracker. I handed her the completed s’more.
“It’s like a little sandwich.” She smiled proudly.
“Exactly. Go ahead, baby, try it.” I encouraged her, grabbing my own marshmallow stick. She bit down on the s’more and I smirked at the mess she made. Sticky marshmallow fluff and melted chocolate were now covering her already delicious lips.
“Wow!” She gasped, taking another bite.
“Uhm, you’re on fire.” She pointed towards my stick.
I cursed and put out another fire. I was too consumed with watching her eat a damn s’more to pay attention to my own marshmallow. I abandoned the stick and walked over towards her. I cupped her face in my hand, leaned down, and kissed the sticky mess from her lips. I moaned slightly,
“You taste delicious, baby.” She gasped softly, eyeing me with wide, dangerously blue eyes.
“Aren’t you going to make one?” She asked, averting her gaze.
“I’d rather have your seconds.” I answered in a deep, husky voice.
“You’re bad, wolfie.” She pressed her lips together, narrowing her eyes at me but I didn’t miss the lust that was written all over her expression.
We spent the rest of the day outside on the patio watching the fire, talking, and playing games. I had several board games and card games, none of which Navy had ever played before. We played every single one. I decided that yard games would be on the agenda for tomorrow.
Dinner rolled around and I was appointed the executive chief while my pretty little mate watched from the couch. I made us a steak dinner, thankful for how well the staff stocked my cabin for this weekend. We shared a candle lit meal before heading upstairs. We decided to watch a movie from the loft.
Navy made it through the movie this time without falling asleep, to my disappointment. She kissed me goodnight and slipped into her own room. I pouted as I went to my room alone. I pulled off my shirt and shorts, crawling into bed with just my boxers on. I closed my eyes and listened as hard as I could for Navy’s snores. I couldn’t hear her, but I could still smell her and I used that to calm me and Alistair.
I had just started to doze off when I heard my door creak open. I sat up and watched a petite shadow move across my room.
“Knox?” My mate whispered.
“Yes, baby?”
“I can’t sleep.” She mumbled. I pulled back the blankets and motioned for her to lay next to me. She scurried across the room and crawled in.
“It’s the mate bond, it’s pulling us together.” I explained as she settled onto my chest.
“It’s getting stronger?” She asked.
“It is, baby. The more time we spend together the stronger you’ll feel it.”
“But, not you?” She mumbled, her voice already getting sleepy.
“I already feel it strongly, love, any stronger and I’ll go crazy.” I chuckled. I wasn’t sure if she heard me. Her body started getting heavier as she drifted off to sleep.
Our weekend of bliss continued like that every night. She tried to start off in her own room, but always ended up in my bed. I wasn’t complaining. I just stayed awake until she came over and welcomed her into my arms. By Sunday night, I was sure she was feeling the mate bond nearly as strong as I was. I was almost tempted to call into work and take the rest of the week off. I never wanted to leave this cabin.
