Chapter 3
It was just before the kids bed time I knocked on Claire’s door but I rang her before arriving to say that I was picking the kids up and that they should be ready for my arrival. Little did I know James had already spoke to her. When Claire finally arrived she said “ eve why don’t you come in and we can talk about it” she said with a sympathetic look. “ Claire please let me take my kids home I want to have a bath and deal with this” I replied. “okay but you must know that I always knew you two wouldn’t last” she said. I grinned at her. I was so angry that I could legit knock her flat out right here right now but Justin and Jackson came running to me with there backpacks. “mummy” they said hugging me Hannah and Scarlett both moody teenagers came strolling out behind them. “Girls take the boys into the taxi I’ll be there soon” I told Hannah and Scarlett “cool, off we go kids” Hannah said she was always responsible I know I could always count on her. I told Claire to tell James not to hurry back as I needed time. She nodded to me and gave me I quick hug. I rushed back into the taxi and we drove back to our house. I told Hannah about my plans to fly back to England tonight. I gave her a hug and whispered to her “ trust me baby, and don’t tell your dad” she looked at me with shock but she could see the sadness in my eyes. She quickly marched upstairs and packed 3 bags for herself and the twins Scarlett came down the stairs with her suitcase and her usually grumpy attitude. I rushed out the house with my suitcase and all the passports including James’s so he couldn’t come after us. We took the same taxi that brought me back from the city I knew I owed him a hefty bill and tip for his hard work. The driver knew what I was up to and said to me before getting out the car at the airport “good luck my love, whatever it is you will get through this” i smiled “ I bloody hope so mate” I replied. We rushed into the airport my sensible girl Hannah made sure that all the kids weren’t asking too many questions and were quiet throughout the airport “ I need 1 adult and 3 child tickets to London tonight”
I smiled to the agent “ alright ma’am” she answered “ you are in luck there is a flight in 30 minutes actually to London Heathrow” she said staring at her screen “ it’s an economy but the seats are close together” she continued. “ we will take it I got out the passports and My own personal card that James won’t be able to get a hold of. I rushed the kids to the gate. They were already boarding the flight. We were the last people to board. I took the kids phones and told Hannah about the importance of not contacting there dad and his family just until we get to London then I would explain everything. She nodded and gave me a little hug “I love you mum” she said bringing a tear to my eye “I love you kids and I would die for you... you hear” I replied.
