Chapter 325
Chapter 325
As Joel watched Sebastian walking toward him, his eyes twinkled. "I love Daddy and Mommy the most. Daddy is the sun, Mommy is the moon, and I'm the star. We are the happiest family ever, and we can't live without one another!" he said smilingly.
When Joel said they couldn't live without one another with a smile on his face, Sebastian felt as though his heart would melt from the adorableness of Joel's different persona. He walked over and kissed Joel's forehead. "How are you feeling? Do you still feel unwell?" he asked.
"I feel great." Joel smiled as he shook his head.
"You are such a good boy." Sebastian ruffled his hair. "Even though you are still sick, you have such a lovely smile."
"That's because I'm Daddy and Mommy's good boy!" Joel said obediently before continuing, "You guys work very hard, so I have to be well-behaved to avoid becoming a burden!"
"You're such a good boy!" Sebastian caressed his cheek and looked at Madeline. "How did you raise him to be so well-behaved?" he asked.
Madeline smiled upon hearing his question. "I didn't. I was just lucky to have these two lovely and well- behaved children."
Hearing her words, Sebastian didn't say anything. Only children that had been pampered might be arrogant and capricious. He knew that his children had lived a hard life when they were with the Taylors; that was why they had such obedient and thoughtful personalities.
Although he was proud to have such well-behaved children, the thought of them having a tough life in the past broke his heart. How he wished he had been by their side since they were young, for he could've protected them and gave them the best things in the world!
With that thought in mind, he carried Joel and kissed him. "Let's go and eat. We'll eat a lot to get rid of the virus, okay?"
"No, no, no." Joel shook his head repeatedly and said, "I haven't washed myself yet, Daddy. I need to wash up before going to eat."
"In that case, I'll carry you there!" Sebastian kissed him again before carrying him to the bathroom.
After Joel was done washing up, they left the bedroom and headed toward the dining room. Since Joel was still sick, he could only eat oatmeal. The oatmeal had been prepared and was being heated inside the pot. Madeline placed it on the table while Sebastian placed Joel in his seat. Then, he scooped a spoonful of oatmeal and fed it to Joel. "I'll feed you."
After swallowing the food, Joel tilted his head and smiled sweetly at Sebastian. "Thank you, Daddy. I can eat on my own, though!"
"It's fine." Sebastian smiled. "I like feeding you."
Joel ate very elegantly. When he had food in his mouth, his lips would shut tightly while his cheeks moved up and down as he chewed, looking as cute as a hamster. When Sebastian caught sight of this, he couldn't take his eyes off his son.
Looking at him, Sebastian realized that bloodline was indeed remarkable. In the past, he had met children around Quincy and Joel's age, but none of them made him feel love like how Joel and Quincy did. His attention would be on them whenever they were in his view, and he'd feel both happy and proud for seemingly no reason.
When Joel saw Sebastian's smile, he smiled sweetly at him and gobbled up the oatmeal that Sebastian fed him; he was obedient no matter how Sebastian looked.
"Does the oatmeal taste terrible without adding anything else?" Sebastian asked.
"No." Joel shook his head. "The oatmeal is tasty. I didn't have an appetite when Mommy asked me what I wanted to eat earlier, but now, I'm feeling hungry all of a sudden."
His answer made Sebastian laugh. "Do you know what the word 'appetite' means?"
"I do." Joel smiled. "I'm very smart, and I know a lot of things!"
With that, Sebastian couldn't help but kiss him. "Not only are you smart, you are also cute!" he said.
He is so cute! In fact, he is the cutest in the world! Sebastian thought.
Poor Joel was restricted from eating other food after finishing a bowl of oatmeal. He licked his lips, wanting to have more, but he said obediently, "I'll eat more after I'm better."
"That's my boy. When you are better, you can eat anything you want!" Sebastian said.
"Alright." Joel nodded his head. Then, he raised his head and looked at Sebastian. "When I recover, I
want to eat at a buffet, Daddy!"
"Okay!" Sebastian promised. "Once you recover, I will bring you and Quincy to a buffet."
"You have to bring Mommy as well!" Joel added hurriedly.
"Of course. We will bring Mommy with us too." Sebastian smiled and glanced at Madeline.
Hearing his answer, Joel gave a satisfying smile and kissed Sebastian. "You're the best, Daddy! I'm so lucky to have you!"
After swallowing the food, Joel tilted his head and smiled sweetly at Sebastian. "Thank you, Daddy. I can eat on my own, though!"
When Joel kissed Sebastian, the man felt like there were flower petals on his face; it was soft and cool, which melted his heart into a puddle. At that moment, he felt that it was a shame he hadn't met his children when they were still little.
With that thought in mind, Sebastian couldn't help but look at Madeline again as he wanted to have another baby with her. If they had another child, Quincy and Joel would have another little brother or sister. By then, he would watch them grow little by little. Sebastian felt blessed just thinking about it.
Not knowing what was on Sebastian's mind, Madeline only felt that his gaze was intriguing. She couldn't help but ask, "What's wrong?"
Just as Sebastian was about to speak, his phone rang. He took out his phone and saw that Eternal was calling. He then answered the call. "Mr. Hart, I've sent some information about Angie to your phone. Is
there anything else you would like me to do?" Eternal said.
"Find someone to keep an eye on her," Sebastian said.
"Yes, Mr. Hart." Eternal obliged and hung up after Sebastian finished relaying his orders.
Then, Sebastian opened the file that Eternal had sent him.
"Are you busy?" Madeline asked. "I'll call Leigh to take care of Joel and Quincy. I want to visit Luke and Leonard at the hospital."
Luke regained his consciousness last night, and Logan was taking care of him there. However, Leonard was still in a critical condition, and there hadn't been any good news about him. She was somewhat involved in this matter, but she hadn't been to the hospital yet as she was busy taking care of the sick Joel.
"There's no need to call Leigh. Since I have time today, I can take care of the kids. I'll send you the file on Angie. You can look at it on your way there," Sebastian said. Then, he sent a copy of the document that Eternal had sent him to Madeline.
"Thank you!" Madeline thanked him gratefully and said, "I will not let Angie off the hook!"
Hearing her words, Sebastian chuckled. "I was going to say that. Don't worry, I will not let her get away with this either!"
Looking at the both of them, Joel blinked his eyes and asked curiously, "What's the matter? Are you guys going to fight with someone?"
