13 - Chapter Thirteen - Thanatos Alexander's Point Of View
Forest and I were out doing the running and getting food for my cravings. We only had so much time before I and forest had to be at the clinic for my appointment with Emerald. today we may just very well be learning the gender of our baby, I was super excited I would be able to finally set up a nursery and start the long journey of picking the baby's name.
We dropped the food off at the house and asked Quinn if he could get one of the yonder kids or omegas to put the food away, I said I would have done it but I had my appointment to look at the baby at the clinic. he said he would put the stuff away and hurry to my appointment. When we got to the clinic em took me to the back with him right away, he took out a larger screening machine. It took him and another doctor a while to set the machine up. Finally, when he thing set up he told me to pull my shirt up and lay down. I followed his instructions and laid down on the bed and pulled my shirt up. they wheeled me under the half-moon machine and turned it on, he said he would be back in a moment after he took the photos of our baby.
He was gone for what seemed like forever, when he came back he had a bunch of little photos in his hands. he showed them to us, and then he pointed out that our baby had a little bump in the front, he said that our baby was a boy after a few more moments of searching he made a shocking discovery, he said there was another baby in the womb but because of the size of it, he said the child was most likely a little under feed because the top baby was taking all the food.
He said the only way we could be sure that the littlest one made it out alive was to go in early and remove the baby's Forest and I gave the okay and Em wrote down a date for a month and a half away.
I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared for my babies’ lives. I was scared that my babies wouldn't make it out okay, so I looked at em and he told me he would do everything in his power to make my babies safe.
He gave me the photos and hugged me, he said everything would be fine he would make sure of it. Forest and I sat in silence as he drove us back to the house. I found myself almost in tears when I got into the house. quin asked me how it went and like that the flood gates were down, the tears were like a raging river, I couldn't keep it back.
Quinn held me in his arms. I tried to explain the reason I was balling but I couldn't make any words out. Forest told his mother the news and Quinn cried right along with me, Kane came down the stairs and I knew he heard the news from his study, he pulled both me and Quinn into his arms and told us it was going to be okay but I knew even he was going to cry if I lost one of them.
I sat on the couch and looked at the photo of our babies, forest walked over and picked me up and carried me to our room where we talked about setting up the nursery and what we would name our babies, he also told me our babies would be strong like me and they would pull through and he would love them both endlessly because they were part of me and him.
We decided that the nursery would be peach and light grey. we bought a few items to match the colour scheme. Forest and I started to pack the baby bag and went through a list of names we liked. The names Chaise and Chance stood out among all the names.
We decided that we would name them when they came, I didn't want to give them names that didn’t fit them.
Forest went for a run because he was panicked about the fact there was an extra baby now and he was worried about the second baby making it out alive. I also was panicked about whether the second child would be able to hold out until then and I found myself praying to the wolves moon goddess to bless our second child and allow him to make it. Once I was sure she had heard my cries and prayers, I took a deep breath and wiped my eyes. Rubbing my belly I found myself promising them I would do whatever I had to do to make sure they would both be okay, Quinn sat beside me on the couch and we just talked about anything that would come to mind. It really helped me take some of the stress off. He then started to tell me about his childhood and about finding Forest and how hard it was to raise him. I could remember all the nights I had been there with him when he was just a small baby. I was good with him so i should be just as good with our children, if not better. I wasn't a baby pro but I would learn with time and if I really just needed a crash course I could go visit the omega wolves, they always had newborns on hand. They were the best babysitters and baby makers. They were a giant part of the pack. Quinn had some omega traits but that was because he adored them so much and spent a lot of time with them, However he raised his own children.
