Calla went to work at the headquarters of Atlas Enterprises for the first time on Monday.

It was a new place, so she decided to have a makeover. She wore very formal attire that day–a black office dress with a red low–cut blouse underneath. Her shoes had a slight heel, and her hair cascaded neatly down her back.

She looked very sharp and energetic. She really hoped to make a good impression on her new superior.

But she’d had a stroke of bad luck. There was an accident that caused her to be stuck in traffic for 20 minutes.

She got up early but ended up getting to the office late. She rushed into the office building urgently but saw a huge group of people waiting for the elevator.

She looked at her watch and frowned. It was three minutes before 9:00 am. She was definitely going to be late.

Being late on the first day of work would leave a bad impression. Her superior would. definitely not take kindly to that.

That wouldn’t do. She couldn’t be late. So, she turned around and headed for the stairs.

Although the office was on the 20th floor, she still decided to run upstairs and get to the office as soon as she could. Despite being worried about her baby, she had to take a chance if she wanted to make sure she had the money to raise the baby.

Suddenly, a cleaning lady blocked her way to the stairs. She asked kindly, “Young lady, are you in a rush? If you don’t mind it being a little dirty, you can use the freight elevator over there.”

Calla was so happy to hear that she had the urge to give the cleaning lady a kiss. Her baby didn’t have to suffer anymore!

“Thank you so much!” Calla thanked the cleaning lady joyfully before rushing over to the freight elevator.

When she got there, she saw a lot of boxes in the elevator, so there was barely any space in it.

She walked in with a frown and tried her best not to let the boxes dirty her clothes. Then, she pressed the button for the 20th floor, and the doors started closing.

A man’s hand reached in just as the doors were about to close completely. After the doors opened, a tall and muscular man in a black suit walked in.

Calla frowned. The space in the elevator was really tight. She was already squeezed

The man was almost pressing against her. She felt very awkward, so she lowered her head and crossed her arms against her chest. That was the best way to protect herself.

Calla saw the man’s suit. He was very tall. The top of her head only reached his chin. She could vaguely smell the scent of cigarettes on the man.

The scent made her feel nauseous. She could only cover her mouth and resist the urge to vomit. Her reactions were getting more severe. She couldn’t tolerate even the slightest bit of odor.

“You seem to have gotten a little more voluptuous.” A familiar voice rang from above her head.

She raised her head abruptly and saw a familiar face. She was dumbfounded.

Mercer was displeased by her reaction. He frowned and said, “It has only been a few months. Yet, you’ve already forgotten about me?

She immediately recalled who this handsome man was. He was the handsome gigolo who caused her to spend more than 1000 dollars and also impregnated her!

Never in her wildest dreams did she think she would meet him again at the headquarters of Atlas Enterprises.

Did he also work there? What should she do? She didn’t want to be around a man who slept around so casually.

She saw that he was looking at her with a lecherous gaze. She knew he was a bad person right away!
