Blake’s POV~

The days are running together.. we have started getting the pack back to normal.. there’s little to know sign of the many camps we had set up to protect the packs from attack. We still have the occasional fight with unruly rogues.. but nothing too big.

Loren is holding Olivia’s coronation and the official crowning of the princess..as the heir to the throne. Alexis has been cranky about it for days. Demanding her parents have another baby so she’s off the hook. Which, of course, isn’t how it works at all..and she knows it! She knows that the crown was always supposed to go to a female.. the White Wolf.. she’s being contrary.

Right now, we are waiting for the birth of Helena and Max’s little one..Alexis and Olivia are with her. Loren and I have arranged for mine and Alexis wedding to take place the night of the coronation. I’m hoping to surprise her with it..but if I’m honest, I worry she will either take my head off or glitch herself to B.F.E! Either way..it should be a fun time for some of us!

A baby’s cry could be heard down the halls, and Max runs out..eyes wild..hair sticking up all over yelling it’s a boy and he looks like..well..he looks like a bloody mess right now.. but to me he looks like everything I have been missing in my world” and runs back in! We all start laughing and knowing we would all be the same way! Another ten minutes had passed, when Alexis came out and told us to be quiet as we filed in to take a look at our newest addition! And he is so beautiful! Even I can feel how special this little one is!

Alexis and I are lying in each other’s arms.. it’s late and I can feel Arielle and Athos talking quietly. I love that they communicate with each other..as much as Alexis and I do. The fact that their souls have been intertwined since our species began is still a mystery to me. But not to them.. and they finally feel complete. Their souls have been fighting through each generation to find their way back to each other..and it had finally happened for them..I also know it is a contributing factor in the closeness Alexis and I feel.

She whispers “I really have to take the throne? I don’t want it! Can’t we give it away?” And I chuckle “Baby.. you are stressing yourself out over something that will not happen for many years. We won’t take the throne until our child can take Alpha here.. okay? We will take as much time as we need to prepare. Your father is still young enough to hold the crown for quite awhile!” Then she reaches up and kisses me. All coherent thoughts flee, while I spend the next several hours making sweet love to my Queen!

At breakfast the next morning, we overhear Damon telling Connie to just ask…and she shakes her head. This goes on for about ten minutes and Alexis finally jumps in “Connie.. sweet girl.. what has you so tense?” causing Connie to jerk her head toward Alexis.. she whispers “I want to ask a favor.. but I don’t want you to be reminded of my cousin whenever I am around you” My adorable mate stands up and walks around Damon..pulling Connie into a hug she tells her “First of all.. you are nothing like Cynthia..and please trust I only see YOU when you speak. You are my third in command.. please never be afraid to come to me with anything!” And my chest swells with pride.. the Goddess surely got it right when she chose my Alexis as the white wolf’s vessel!

And then Connie became animated.. and it was hilarious to watch! I look at Damon, laughing “She is as excitable as our Luna!” And Damon grins like a fool, saying “Yeah.. but at least, I don’t have to worry she’ll glitch herself into a shower with you, completely naked” and we both crack up! Until we hear eeeep…and both our girls are gone. I laugh harder and look at him “You were saying?” “Fuck!”

They pop back and Alexis keeps saying “I am so so sorry” with both of them covered in pond scum and soaking wet.. I ask “The pond behind the tool shed?” And Alexis says “Yup. I am just so sorry” and Connie breaks out laughing “Finally! I feel like part of the family!” And everyone laughs.

I tell them to go get cleaned up so we can get some work done and they dart off to shower. Damon says “Life will never be boring” Cody says “I have to go to the kingdom today with Olivia.. King Loren wants me to run a check on the extra security for tomorrow’s events. With all the guests arriving in the morning, Olivia wants me to run background on the household staff. She has a couple of them that she says are giving off “iffy” vibes. Not sure what that means.. but I figured it’s female terminology that is foreign to me, anyway..so I didn’t ask” I laughed “Yeah.. I just normally nod sagely.. like I know what they’re saying, too”

The girls come back and ask if they can go shopping for a dress for Connie. Apparently, she had been under the impression she wouldn’t be attending the coronation because Damon had failed to let her know. We all looked at Damon like he had a third eye in the middle of his forehead and he says “What?” We laughed and Cody tells us “Yeah..he’s still clueless!” We stand and I grin..having just the punishment “Of course you can go shopping, baby! In fact, I suggest we make a day of it..and all of us go! I’m sure Connie needs a new wardrobe since she couldn’t have brought much with her.. and I would love to take you to lunch! Let’s go, Damon!”

After two hours, he says “Didn’t think this one through..did ya!? Punishing me..punished you! That’s Karma, you dick!” I groan.. knowing he’s right! Alexis has gotten so excited about a gown Connie has chosen she’s glitched twice. Once..to the men’s room.. the second time..into the kitchen at the food court..startling everyone..and causing a fire! So..yep… did Not think this one through! We have to leave the mall to feed our girls because my Luna got us banned from the food court.
