Chapter 601
Following the address Blake had sent her, Sherilyn hurried over.
"Sherilyn, you made it!"
Blake rushed out to greet her, "I told Mr. Marshall last night you were coming. Waited left and right but you were nowhere to be seen. Mr. Marshall was about to have my head, I swear!" That dramatic? Sherilyn couldn't help but laugh and shake her head, "Sorry, Director Blake."
"No worries! Now that you're here, all is well. My neck's been saved! Come on, Mr. Marshall is waiting!"
In the large conference room, Sherilyn met Caleb Marshall. "Mr. Marshall, hello. It's been a while."
Caleb smiled, gesturing towards a chair, "Have a seat. We're all friends here, no need for formalities." "Right." Sherilyn smiled back, taking a seat as suggested.
Caleb said, "Blake's briefed you on the situation. If you're okay with it, we can proceed to the signing."
So soon? No more considerations?
Sherilyn felt uneasy, "Mr. Marshall, as you know, I have no acting experience whatsoever."
"How can you say that?"
Caleb disagreed, "I've seen your contemporary dance performances. Any form of performance requires immersion into a character and the expression of emotions."
"Acting is no different. Don't overcomplicate it in your mind."
Caleb was confident, "I believe you can do it."
"Mr. Marshall." Sherilyn wasn't swayed by the compliment, "I'm just worried I might let you down."
"Then trust me!" Caleb declared boldly, "Trust my judgment, will you?"
Was there any difference?
Sherilyn couldn't help but laugh.
"Sherilyn, just agree to it."
Even Blake was getting anxious, "If Mr. Marshall says you can do it, then you definitely can! Do you think he settles for less? I've introduced so many to him, and he didn't take a second glance at any! It was driving me crazy!" That got everyone laughing.
But it was true, Caleb was notoriously picky in the industry.
Taking a deep breath, Sherilyn made up her mind, "Well, I'll... give it a try."
For one, she was currently jobless.
And secondly, she wanted to repay Blake and Caleb for their kindness in the past. "Fantastic!"
"Blake, prepare the contract. And don't forget to send Sherilyn the script!"
"Will do, boss!"

In the afternoon, Jenna was napping.
Sherilyn was in the kitchen, whipping up a cheese-topped baked potato, intending to share it with

Her phone buzzed with a message from Gilbert.
[How's Jenna?]
[She's fine, no fever.]
Sherilyn replied, then after a moment's thought, she entered Jenna's room, picked up her phone, and recorded a short video to send over.
Gilbert opened it to find Jenna asleep, her arms in a 'surrender' pose, stretched above her little head.
Her chubby cheeks were puffy, her small mouth puckered.
"She's adorable."
Gilbert chuckled softly, saving the video.
Just as he put down the phone, his work
rang. It was the

Media Group.
"What's up?"
"Mr. Gilbert," the EVP sounded rushed, "We can't reach Ms. Bennett suddenly. Do you know where she might be?"
Unable to contact Caroline?
"What do you mean?" Gilbert was confused.
Lately, he'd been so focused on Sherilyn and Jenna that he was out of the loop regarding Caroline Bennett.
"Isn't she busy with the variety show at the network? Didn't you check there?"
"It's the network that called me looking for her!"
The EVP explained, "They're in the middle of filming, and suddenly she's unreachable!"
