Chapter 179
Chapter 179
Felicia was not pregnant with Alastor’s child.
“Ha…” Anastasia laughed with reddened eyes.
She looked at Alastor with compassionate eyes and sighed. “You’re so pitiful.”
“Anastasia, must it be like this?” Alastor’s voice was hoarse.
Anastasia slapped the bag in her hand onto Alastor. In a hoarse voice, she said, “I’ll wait for you at the City Hall at nine o’clock tomorrow morning.”
“Anastasia!” Alastor wanted to grab Anastasia’s wrist.
However, Anastasia dodged him.
Anastasia held Jason’s hand tightly, their fingers intertwined, and she clenched her fingers so tightly that her joints turned pale.
Anastasia left with Jason in front of Alastor! As soon as they walked out of the hospital, she wanted to let go, but Jason held her hand instead. “Even if you’re using me, you should still hold on for a while more… It’s too hurtful,” Jason said quietly.
Anastasia glanced at Jason and pointed to her face. “Is it swollen?”
Jason frowned as his expression darkened scarily.
He raised his hand and held Anastasia’s chin, tilting her face left and right to observe it. “Yes, it’s a little swollen.”
“I want fondue,” Anastasia suddenly said.
Jason was stunned for a moment. “You’ve changed the topic a little quickly.”
“I want spicy food,” Anastasia spoke again.
“No, you have a weak stomach.” Jason shook his head.
“You only live once! Since life is so short, we should let ourselves loose. From now on, I’ll do whatever I want.” Anastasia patted Jason’s hand. “Let go.”
“No.” Jason was also very persistent and did not let go of her hand.
“Let’s go eat fondue.” Anastasia’s voice was hoarse.
“You don’t sound right,” Jason noted quietly.
From the moment Anastasia jumped out of the window that day. Jason started panicking.
“I haven’t settled accounts with you yet.” Jason was originally very angry, but he could not get upset at Anastasia, no matter what.
“I’ve observed the surroundings already. There’s a terrace outside where a janitor is drying his mop,” Anastasia explained guiltily.
In truth, even if she really had to jump down directly, she was not afraid either…
“Really?” Jason asked in disbelief.
“Really! Do I look that stupid to you, little brother?” Anastasia still regarded herself as his sister.
Jason decided to compromise as he thought to himself, “Just let her be. If she wants to be my sister, so be it. At least we can still be together.”
“You’ve really decided? That you would get the divorce certificate tomorrow morning?” Jason asked in a low voice, afraid that Anastasia would go back on her words..
“Yes, I’ve decided.” Anastasia nodded heavily.
That day, with Felicia causing such a commotion, Anastasia could suddenly let go of everything and put it down completely. “From today onward, I want to… love myself,” Anastasia said smilingly before bringing Jason into a fondue restaurant. “Shall we get Kimberly to join us?”
Jason frowned. “Can’t we eat fondue with just the two of us?”
“It’s boring to eat with just the both of us.” Anastasia took the initiative to call Kimberly.
Soon, Kimberly came over in less than twenty minutes. It was evident that she really wanted to see Jason. Although Anastasia understood the situation in her heart, she did not mention anything verbally. Instead, she patted the table. “Let me introduce you guys again. This is Jace. We met six years ago, Anastasia said, introducing Kimberly to him.
Kimberly’s face was full of shock. “This is the Jace you’ve been talking about?”
“Yes. Hasn’t he changed a lot?” Anastasia asked with a smile.
A trace of uneasiness flashed across Kimberly’s eyes, but she quickly masked it with a smile. “Yes, he has changed a lot indeed. It’s said that girls change a lot when they enter adulthood, but it seems like boys change a lot as well. Jason, you’re so amazing.”
“She… talked about me to you before?” Jason asked quietly, suddenly curious.
“Of course, you two have a selfie, which she has shown me many times. I really didn’t recognize you,” Kimberly said with a smile.
“How… did she talk about me?” Jason’s eyes were on Anastasia throughout.
Looking at Anastasia and then Jason, Kimberly clenched her fingers. “She said you were like a younger brother to her, who disappeared without saying a word.”
Jason lowered his eyes and frowned.
“Younger brother… I’m still like a younger brother to her, after all,” Jason thought.
