When the Night Falls

Chapter 8

JASMINE

Just as he was about to sl*p his fingers inside of me, he pulled back.

“I won’t make it that easy,” he said. “You’re going to have to beg for it.”

My heart raced as he spun me around, my hands now on the hard library desk. His dominant presence loomed over me from behind, making me quiver with anticipation,

“Take your shirt off,” he said.

I obeyed. Now, with nothing on but my underwear, I waited for him to command me.

As he k*ssed me down my spine, my b*dy trembled with desire, knowing what was about to happen. With each touch and whisper, I felt myself surrendering to his every command, the thrill of submission consuming me.

Again, he stopped right at the base of my spine.

“Beg me to take off your underwear,” he instructed.

“I beg you,” I moaned. “Take them off.”

Theodore sl*pped them down my legs and tossed them to the side.

“Can you be quiet for me?” he whispered into my ear. “I don’t want to hear a word come out of your mouth.”

I nodded, my eyes shut; I was ready for him.

From behind, he reached in between my legs.

His fingers were skilled and confident as they explored the delicate folds of my b*dy, igniting a fire within me that threatened to consume me whole.

His fingers danced over my skin, electrifying every nerve. I could feel his every movement between my legs, his touch making me tremble with pleasure. I was lost in the moment. The world had sl*pped away. There was nothing but us.

His fingers moved, teasingly, deeper towards my center, and I could feel my b*dy arching towards him, pressing against his now hard di ck.

Our symphony of moans and the rustling of pages was our secret, our forbidden adventure in this

GO.

Suddenly, there was a sound from just outside the library. We jumped apart, our private heaven interrupted.

“Jasmine?” a delicate voice asked from far away.

“It’s Thea.” I whispered.

Quickly. I got dressed, trying to put myself together.

Looking dazed and frightened, Thea wandered into the library. She rubbed her eyes, squinting at us, still half asleep.

“Dad?” she said when she spotted Theodore.

“Hi, my darling.” he crouched down beside her. “What is it?”

“I had a nightmare.”

She looked around the room, trying to figure out why we were up.

“What were you two doing? she asked, confused.

Theodore met my eye. He smiled devilishly.

“I was just getting to know Jasmine’s interests better, sweetheart.” Theodore said. “She was just in the middle of telling me about this very interesting book she was reading.”

It was clear that Thea was tired. Her eyes drooped down slowly.

“Why don’t I take you back up to bed,” I suggested.

Thea nodded, letting me pick her up and carry her upstairs. Theodore followed closely behind. I could feel his eyes on me as I tucked her back in and k*ssed her on the forehead. He lingered by the doorway, watching me.

When I shut her bedroom door, he was waiting for me.

“Well,” he said. “I suppose we should get back to bed.”

“I suppose so, yes,” I smiled.

“I’ll see you tomorrow,” he said, walking into his room. “Unless, of course, I have another one of those dreams.”

“I hope I don’t keep you up all night,” I winked.

“I hope you do.”

The school run helped me get my mind off mine and Theodore’s night in the library.

“Bye, Then,” I waved at her from the car as she ran into school.

“See you later, Jasmine,” she yelled back at me.

On the drive home, it was more difficult to stay distracted.

My mind too easily wandered back to Theodore. The way his fingers felt inside me. I shifted in my seat, that familiar pleasurable feeling was starting to build between my legs.

I couldn’t believe that I was h ooking up with my boss.

Iris would be livid if she were ever to find out.

I didn’t know where any of this was going, but it would be a good idea to talk to Theodore about it. Despite our intimate moment, I still had no idea how he felt about the whole affair. Was he okay with sleeping with the nanny?

I was the nanny, after all. Not some fabulous heiress, the type I’m sure he was used to.

I thought back to the model-like blond he was arguing with. If that was his usual type, then I was far from it.

Luckily, he was home when I returned. Reading a newspaper in the breakfast nook and nursing a coffee.

“Good morning,” I said.

“Good morning,” he replied. “Sleep well?”

“Great, yeah,” I answered. “How about you?”

“Not too bad.”

“Listen, Theodore,” I started, “about last night-”

“What about last night?”

“What happened in the library, I just wanted you to know that-”

“What happens at night, stays at night.”

How cryptic.

All of a sudden, an alarm started to blare through the house. The sharp sound echoed off the marble floors, ringing through my ears.

My hands reflexively covered my ears.

Theodore jumped up and rushed toward me, his hand on the small of my back guiding me out of

the kitchen.

“Quick,” he instructed. “There’s been a security breach. We need to get to the panic room.”

Even in the chaos of the moment, the thought of Theodore and I locked in a room together

my heart sk ip a beat.
