When Her "Death" Couldn't Break Him Novel

Chapter 1250

Chapter 1250 Malicious Rumors

Consequently, Cecilia was unsure of her intentions.

Everyone in the world is driven by self–interest, hustling for their own gains. Miranda is no different. She has exposed Cassandra to me purely for her own benefit. However, seeking Nicholas out is definitely out of the question.

Cecilia knew she had to resolve the matter herself. However, she didn’t have any real solutions to Cassandra’s attempts to undermine her.

The controversy had caused quite a stir, and the internet was rife with all sorts of baseless rumors. They painted Cecilia in a negative light, claiming she had been involved with countless men before her marriage. The allegations were growing increasingly outrageous.

After getting married, she moved abroad. Rumor had it that she had been involved with quite a few men there and even had a child with a foreigner.

Such rumors began to spread far and wide, and quite a few people took them as truth. They started to disparage Cecilia indiscriminately:

My God, this woman is so repulsive. If she’s so into foreigners she might as well not come back.

Absolutely, I really can’t stand people who idolize everything foreign.

Nathaniel must be crying his eyes out by now. Poor CEO.

Charlotte stared at the barrage of insulting messages, feeling numb.

“These people were truly revolting.”

Cecilia, however, was nonchalant. “Stop reading the comments. Ignore those trolls,”

The situation online was escalating dramatically. Even Jonathan, who was at school, had noticed it while. scrolling through his computer.

“Darn it!”

He hadn’t expected anyone to have the audacity to slander his mother. Upon seeing those hateful comments, he hacked the trolls, leaving their accounts bone–dry..

However, his capabilities were still limited. He could only punish those malicious rumor–mongers and independent media outlets.

So, he called Elliot, “People are saying that our father is a foreigner.”

At school, Elliot was in the midst of being clamored over by a group of younger students when he suddenly heard the news, leaving him somewhat puzzled.

“Who said that?”

“Many people online. When you go back tonight, reveal whose child you are.” Jonathan said.

After hearing this, Elliot agreed without hesitation, simply saying, “Alright.”

How did I, a true–bred local, end up being considered a foreigner’s child? Aren’t they just framing Mommy? I can’t believe how disgusting they can be!

Nowadays, many people detested those who admire and pander to foreigners.

After hanging up the phone, Jonathan went back to dealing with the online trolls.

There was this particularly annoying individual, a blogger with millions of followers. Even though they clearly didn’t know Cecilia, they claimed to do so on the internet. They even said:

We went to the same school, and she really wasn’t a good person. Everyone knew that. She stole Nathaniel from someone else. Back then, the Smith family was affluent, while Nathaniel’s girlfriend was an orphan with nothing to her name. She was relentlessly bullied by Cecilia. I saw the news just now about her being involved with a married man. It doesn’t surprise me at all. She’s always been that kind of person.”

This blogger was essentially paid to write such lies.

Upon investigation, Jonathan found out that the company he worked for was actually run by Brooklyn.

At the sight of the numerous fans agreeing in the comments section of his video, a chill ran through Jonathan’s eyes as he typed quickly on the keyboard.

In less than a minute, the blogger’s live stream was abruptly interrupted, leaving nothing but a black screen.

The blogger who had falsely accused Cecilia was completely baffled. Despi
