Chapter 21 

Freddy didn’t want to go, but Rosalind couldn’t give up the fame and accomplishment that came with being a comic book creator. She pushed Freddy into their car. 

The white Ferrari sped off, and Naomi kept accelerating. Driving a top–tier luxury car was p 

car was pure bliss, and soon she left Rosalind and Freddy in the 

Naomi wasn’t going to reveal that Rosalind wasn’t the real comic book artist just yet. She wanted Rosalind to think all the glory was hers, and then wipe her fake smile off her face, making her fall heavily from her pedestal 

Soon, the white Ferrari drove onto the winding mountain road to Frostpeak Mountain. Naomi slowed down when she reached an unprotected scenic viewpoint without any safety rails. 

On that day, it was from here that Rosalind had pushed her down. 

Standing there and looking down, all Naomi could see were lush green trees. She couldn’t see the bottom or what lay down there. 

Naomi remembered being pushed, rolling all the way down, and finally landing in Shawn’s arms. 

She couldn’t even recall how she ended up crashing into Shawn, 

Soon, Freddy and Rosalind caught up. As they got out of the car, their faces changed a bit 

“Naomi, you still hold a grudge against your sister for pushing you down,” Freddy said, making Naomi burst into laughter. She couldn’t believe she hadn’t noticed how shameless Freddy could be before! 

Naomi turned around, staring at the two with a piercing gaze. She stepped back a few paces, tilting her head as she looked at Rosalind expectandy. “Rosalind, didn’t you say if I gave you the comic, you’d agree to any demand I made?” 

Rosalind nodded. “Yes, Naomi. My health isn’t good. Who knows how much longer I can live! I’ve already told Mom and Dad not to scold you anymore. Come home with me, okay!” 

She continued, “Naomi, with your talent, you’ll create even better comics in the future. Just let me have this one, please, Ill agree to whatever you 

Rosalind’s gentle and caring facade remained, but her nails were digging into her palms. She stared at Naomi, ready to push her down again. 

Naomi smiled brightly. “Alright! Have Freddy push you from here, and I’ll give up the comic and even help you finish it to the grand finale. 

She glanced down and said. “It looks scary, but really, it’s nothing. The day you pushed me down, I didn’t get hurt at all. I got up and walked away on my own.” 

Turning her glowing smile towards Freddy, Naomi continued, “Freddy, her future glory is in your hands now,” 

Freddy stared at her in disbelief and then gritted his teeth. “Naomi, how can you be so cruel? She’s your sister!” 

Naomi shrugged. “Rosalind, see? It’s not that I won’t give you a chance. Freddy just doesn’t want to do it. It seems Freddy really loves you! You pushed me down. It was probably just a joke to you, but I just want you to experience what I felt that day. Does that make me seem so vile!” 

She turned to Freddy. “Well, you’re such a hypocrite!” 

Freddy’s face turned pale instantly. Naomi’s mocking gaze and her beaming smile sent shivers up his spine. He felt that Naomi wasn’t the same person she used to be. 

Freddy, Naomi is mad at me, and I get it. If she can forgive me, I’ll do anything” Rosalind grabbed Freddy’s hand. “Just push me down.”

your mind Freddy shook his head. “Last time, it was an accident. You want me to push you on purpose now? No way! 

He added, “Anything could happen if you fall. Rosalind, forget that dumb comic. I’ll find an artist to draw a new one for you, okay?” 

Rosalind hesitated. She was scared, no doubt. But she thought Naomi was fine last time. Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad if she fell this time. 

Naomi said, “Rosalind, if Freddy won’t push you, then jump yourself! If you do, I’ll give you the password and drafts for the next two weeks‘ updates on the spot. 

Then she said lazily, “Or, Freddy can jump with you, holding you tight” 

Then she asked, “Didn’t you both way I was the most important person in your lives! If I’m really that important, then experiencing what I went through is the only way to prove it, right?” 

Naomi’s phone suddenly rang. It was an unknown number. Naomi had a pretty good idea who it would be and picked up without thinking twice

Chapter 21 

“Hello? 

“When are you coming back?” The deep, charming voice on the other end made Naomi think of the man whispering in her ear. It sent shivers down her spine.. 

“Soon,” Naomi said, a smile creeping up on her face without her even realizing it. Getting a call from Shawn always brightened her mood. 

“Good.” Shawn hung up. His car was parked at the foot of Frostpeak Mountain, Chandler was briefing him on everything Naomi did at Sky Animation 

Shawn listened quietly, lazily gazing out the car window, 

“Chandler, Shawn suddenly interrupted, “head to Spring Villa 

“Yes, Mr. Fischer, Chandler replied. 

The Rolls–Royce glided up the winding mountain road and soon got near the villa. 

Not far away, Freddy was holding Rosalind as they fell. Meanwhile, Naomi just stood there quietly. 

Shawn rolled up the window, “Chandler.” 

“Got, sir.” Chandler honked the horn, Naomi turned around, spotted the Rolls–Royce, and flashed a small smile. She walked up to the car. Chandler lowered the window. “Ms. Edwards, done!” 

“Yep. Is Shawn in the car?” Naomi craned her neck. trying to peek inside. The special tint on the windows meant she could not see the inside of the 

car. 

Shawn saw her little face against the window and couldn’t help but smile. “Chandler, let her in. You’re driving her car back,” 

“Yes, sir,” Chandler responded and got out. “Ms. Edwards, drive this car.” 

Naomi nodded, “Sure thing” 

She handed the Ferrari key to Chandler and climbed into the Rolls–Royce’s driver seal 

“Mr. Fischer, are we heading straight back?” Naomi asked, 

“No, head to the Fischer residence, Shawn said.
