Chapter 22 - Reunited
Teegan’s P.O.V.
I wouldn’t believe it if I didn’t see it with my own eyes. When Petra ran over to hug Lindsey, she began glowing. The glow got brighter and brighter the more she hugged her. From how she looked at herself in the mirror, I believe this is the first time something like this has happened. I wonder if it has to do with what Joel said about her pack having magic. Why would it suddenly show itself now?
“This has never happened before,” Petra says softly. Lindsey pulls away from her slightly, and the glow dims.
“When she hugged me, it felt like she was wrapping me in a warm blanket and taking away my pain,” Lindsey says, still not fully letting go of Petra. Joel steps forward.
“Petra, you said your pack was the Mystic Moonlighters. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t know how much you knew about your pack, but they were known to have magical powers.” He tells her. She looks between all of us and then looks far away.
“My wolf, Diamond, says everything inside us has changed since I agreed to go with Anton. She didn’t know what it was, but now she’s wondering if it has something to do with what you said. I’m confused, though. Why didn’t I know about this all along? Anton hasn’t marked me yet. If the magic was dormant until I’m mated, wouldn’t it have stayed that way until I was marked?” Petra sits next to Lindsey on the bed, and the girl rests her head on her shoulder. My brother’s mate is a natural at comforting others; I can see that already. I imagine Jelena is going to miss her at the group home helping with the pups and cubs.
“I don’t know. It could be that your family placed a spell on you to keep the magic hidden when you were taken. Maybe they were trying to protect you from whatever evil killed them.” Joel replies. Petra looks down at her hands and then back at us.
“Do you think you’ll find the others from my pack that were taken? I know I wasn’t the only one. I remember being in the back of a van with others crying like me.” She looks hopeful, and I want to tell her we’ll find them all, but I know that’s a promise none of us can make because we don’t know.
“We’re going to do everything we can to find them. I already have Marcus looking into what happened to your pack.” Joel answers. Petra nods and looks at Anton. I can see the worry in her eyes as he hasn’t said anything since she started glowing. Is she scared he’s suddenly not going to want her now? I can understand. The feeling of being unwanted doesn’t go away overnight.
“Are you okay?” She asks him. Whatever trance he’s in, he snaps out of it and goes over to where she sits on the bed with Lindsey. Anton squats down in front of her and takes her hand.
“I’m fine. I just can’t believe how amazing you are. We’ve known each other for only a few hours, yet you’re already the most incredible woman I’ve ever met.” Good answer, brother. Petra’s face turns bright red, but that’s exactly what she needs to hear.
“So, do my mom and dad want me?” Lindsey asks. I walk over to her and smile.
“Yes. When we were on our way here, I texted my dad to tell him we were hopeful we had found you. He was going to have your parents in his office to wait for my call. Do you want to talk to them? If it’s too soon, you can wait.” Lindsey shakes her head.
“No, I don’t want to wait. I want to talk to them. I dreamed that one day I would find my parents and discover that everything was a mistake.” She answers me. I pull out my phone and call my dad on video. When I see his face, I smile.
“Teegan, do you have news for us?” He sets the phone up so I can see he and my mom are with another couple.
“Yes. We found her. Her name is Lindsey now, and she wants to talk to her parents.” I see her parents crying and feel tears stinging my eyes. Lindsey jumps up when she hears their sobs and looks at my phone.
“Mom, Dad?” She asks as her tears fall. They get close to the phone, and I can see how much she looks like both of them.
“Oh, sweetheart, we’ve looked for you for so long. I can’t believe you’re okay. As soon as we hang up, we’re going to drive to where you are and pick you up. Are you ready to come home?” Her mom asks as she cries. I think everyone is crying at this point. This is why we’re doing this. Bringing families back together who should have never been torn apart is a beautiful feeling.
“Yes. I can’t wait to see you.” Lindsey answers. They chat for a few minutes and then hang up. Petra is standing with her arms around Anton, and I can’t help thinking what a gorgeous couple they make. She’s going to be one powerful luna.
“Will I get to see you again?” Lindsey asks Petra. She looks up at Anton and smiles.
“Yes. Anton will be the alpha of Silver Moon, and I’m his mate, so I’ll be his luna.” She answers her. I guess that means she has decided to accept him. Based on the look on Anton’s face, this is the first he’s heard it, too. I wonder if we can play a game of how many times we can make Anton freeze because Petra would be winning; she’s done it twice in the last few minutes.
“Oh, good.” Lindsey hugs us all and begins packing her things. The luna helps her, and we decide to take off to our next destination. It’s a longer drive, and we’ll probably end up stopping for the night.
“That felt good,” Kiana says from the backseat as we drive away. I turn around and smile at her.
“I agree. We need some good moments like that because I know all of them won’t be. Now, how about we talk about Miss Magic Glowing Pants up there.” I say, looking at Petra. She blushes as she turns in her seat so she can see me.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about. Doesn’t everyone glow when they hug someone?” She asks with a smirk. Okay, her freezing power must work on others, too, because I’m frozen. I didn’t expect her to have such a good comeback.
“So you got jokes now, huh? Kiana in the next pillow fight we’re taking the glow worm down.” The men all look at us in surprise.
“Pillow fight?” Joel asks. Good grief, men, get your heads out of the gutter. For one, all of you have a sister here.
“Yeah, we stripped each other down, then fought with pillows after jumping up and down on the bed. Now, while you’re picturing that, remember Kiana is your sister, and I’m your sister, you two dummies.” Suddenly, their faces turn green. That’s what I thought. I wink at Petra, and she laughs. She really is a beautiful woman inside and out. I hope we can give her some answers like we’re getting for others.

Blake’s P.O.V.
Why has Brock not answered my calls? I need more pups, and he’s been the main supplier for years. Now I can’t reach him. I have orders to fill, and people are getting angry. I’ve called the others that bring me pups, but they’re getting nervous. They said something about a group of people going around asking questions about missing pups. Whoever these people are, they need to be eliminated, and once I find them, I’ll be happy to do it myself.
I’m the fucking alpha of the Blood Fangs. We earned that name because we’re ruthless and kill without question. We are a bunch of rogues who have made a pack of our own. We like killing and tearing people apart. We’re a rare breed because our wolves are just as into it as we are. Our pack has been around for over thirty years, and I’m the third alpha we’ve had.
There’s a knock on my office door, and I turn to see two women walk in. They’re rogues, too. We don’t have mates in our pack; we fuck whoever we want whenever we want. These two are my favorites, and I need them now more than ever while I try to figure out who these people are sniffing around like dogs looking for the stolen pups. We’ve been in operation for too long to be stopped now.
“Do you want the usual alpha?” One of the women asks me while sliding my pants down. She begins stroking me, making me hard instantly. Who needs a mate? This is way better than being tied down to one bitch. I grab her and pull her to me, kissing her hard. The other woman is already on her knees, taking me in her mouth. I release the one I’m holding, and she gets on her knees, too. While they take care of me, I close my eyes. They’re so good at knowing what I want.
Once we’re done, it’s going to be hunting time. Watch out, bastards, you’ve released the Blood Fangs, and we won’t be happy until we’re covered in your blood.
