Chapter 52
Mother Confessor:
Standing just behind the recovering General as she works on her walking since having her patellar tendon repaired. The Captain had decided that her choice of tutor was not acceptable for my training, hence the three of us now stand here in silence waiting for the General to speak her mind. The taught ness in her jaw suggests that she is not particularly pleased with this visit. A limp in her gate as she walks on the belt keeping her in place, as she moves on the textured surface. Sergeant Nimix too is looking very angry and battered after the lesson in sword play with Captain Graxis. He was quite graceful despite appearing much more rigid and broad shouldered in a brute like appeal.
Graxis:
The Sergeant can sure take a beating. Though I am sure she was more upset about having the heavy ring torn from her septum. My small prize in teaching a harsh lesson on how to fight with a sword, and not to flat out abuse a trainee. She had clearly crossed the lines as the others appearance suggest. Red Wolf is displeased with my questioning of her choice in instructor for the pale blue female. At least the blood from the wounded Sergeant’s torn nose had ebbed, but not of her deeply wounded pride.
The General breaks the thick silent air still filled with hostility.
“Your request that the private be transferred to another more suitable instructor has been noted, Captain”, she coldly says refusing to look at us as she continues working her repaired limb on the stationary track.
“As for you, Sergeant, do you contest the allegations brought against you?”, she asks keeping the same cold tone in her voice.
“No, ma’am”, Sergeant Nimix responds quickly and a little too loud for the setting.
“I am very disappointed,” Red Wolf angrily tone of the situation as she turns off the stationary walking aid. Turning to bear her hard gaze down on the three of us.
“Captain, you and the Private wait outside”, the General instructs us,” I would like a word with miss Nimix here in private. You will come back when you see her leave, Understood?” In stereo the pale blue cadet and I reply,” Yes, General.” Turning on heels, we march back to the corridor just outside the medical bay.
