Unforgivable

Chapter I. Revelation - Part 5 - Skyfall

Mara’s heart stopped 6 times in less than 24 hours and the longer it took to bring her back was 48 minutes. She had multiple interns bleeding - of which in her brain - 33 broken bones in total and most of her organs were failing her. John was able to heal her a little but hardly enough to put her out of risk.

“We need to do something. If he keeps trying like that he will burn all his energy.” Gamma Liam commented.

“It’s her daughter. It’s normal he’s acting like that. You can’t never let go your kids.” Luna Vanessa replied, while the both of them are looking at John and Mara.

“I know but it’s not helping her. I would do the same if she was my daughter but my friends would stop me before I went too far. So We need to help him.” Gamma Liam retorted.

Luna Vanessa sighed: ” I know but my heart is so broken for him, for both of them. What can push such a young girl to want to end her life.”

“It beats me.” Gamma Liam agreed.

When they saw John punching the wall, they decided to go in. He sats one the side beside the bed, putting his head in his hands before yelling. Luna Vanessa approached him and kneeled in front of him before touching his shoulders.

I looked at her and asked:″ I can’t heal her, why? I healed thousands of lives and I can’t save my own daughter! Why?!”

“I don’t know John. I wished I could help you more and take some of your pain away.” Luna Vanessa replied.

“You’re already doing so much by being here.”

That was all John was always nice and kind hearted even in the worst time.

“Go rest a little. We will be watching her out.” Gamma Liam told him.

“Liam is right. Go rest, we will not leave her side until you’re coming back.” Luna Vanessa added.

John nodded: “Alright, I will be back in an hour or two.”

Luna Vanessa took John’s seat while Gamma Liam brought another chair.

“Why can he heal her?” Gamma Liam asked, looking at Mara while a nurse was cleaning her already dirty sheets.

“I would like to understand.” Luna Vanessa muttered.

“She doesn’t want to be healed. As soon as she’s strong enough to fight Doctor John’s healing power she does.” Juliet, the nurse, explained. Juliet had an emphatic gift.

“You felt it?” Luna Vanessa asked, curious.

Juliet nodded.

“So she really wants to die... Why so young? I can’t believe she’s fighting to die...” Gamma Liam questioned, more for himself.

“She’s fighting against her father.” Julet explained.

“What does that mean? What does that change?” Luna Vanessa asked.

“I don’t know... I’m not sure... But she didn’t want his touch. There were a lot of strong feelings and anger here, I still can feel it.” Juliet said, shivering.

“This is weird!” Luna Vanessa frowned. All of this didn’t make any sense.

“What about the boy that found her?” Gamma Liam asked.

“Orion? What about him?” Luna Vanessa retorted back.

“You said that he told you they were sharing a connection, right? Maybe he can help her, give her a reason to fight for her life.” Gamma Liam developed.

“Worth the try.” Luna Vanessa stated.

And it worked! Orion’s presence in Mara’s room calmed her down and they were able to see a slight improvement in her condition. Definitely, there was something between them but what?

When Luna Vanessa went back to the pack house, she was still shocked, not understanding how such a young lady wanted to end her life. And not any young lady but her friend’s daughter. She was surprised to see Niels and Aaron in the kitchen.

“You’re not in bed already?” She asked them.

“No, Luna we finished the party here and we’re cleaning while Sage is enjoying his night with our future Luna.” Niels smirked.

In another moment, she would’ve been disturb by what Niels just implied but she was too preoccupied.

“You looked troubled Luna. Everything is okay?” Aaron asked her.

“Just something that I can’t understand.” She replied before adding: ” Do you know Mara Adicost?”

Both boys tensed at her name.

“Yeah, we’re going to school together but we’re not in the same grade.” Aaron replied.

“How is she at school?” She inquired.

“She is really shy and doesn’t have a lot of friends but normal.” Aaron said.

“Did something happen? Was she acting weird lately?” Luna Vanessa insisted.

“No.” Aaron shook his head.

“Actually, she wanted to be the Luna. A lot of girls were interested when they learned about Sage’s mateless situation. So if she said something this might be that.” Niels added.

“Who are you talking about?” Sage asked entering the kitchen. He walked to the fridge and took two water bottles.

“Mara Adicost.” His mother stated. That made him stop for a second.

“The doctor’s daughter, right? What about her?” Sage asked neutral.

“She tried to kill herself and I would like to understand why?” Luna Vanessa told them.

“Tried? She’s still alive right?” Sage asked.

“She’s for now but I’m not sure she will survive.”

“Okay... I’m really sorry for her family.” Sage said in a formal tone.

“yeah...I bet go. Heather is waiting for me. Night!” He added before leaving not without kissing his mother on her cheek.

"You’re okay?" Aaron asked him through the mindlink, worried for his best friend.

"Why I wouldn’t be. She’s nothing to me." Sage replied before shutting him out.

Nothing... Just your destined mate that commited suicide the day you announced your mating to another, Aaron thought.

“Her mother killed herself too, maybe it’s running in her blood. Good thing her father is a healer.” Niels commented.

He yawned and added: ” I’m dead. I’m going to bed. Good night Luna. Night Aaron.”

Aaron didn’t reply, annoyed by his two friends, one because of his lack of tact and the other one because of his lack of reaction. Then he thought about the fact she hovered between life and death when her father was a healer.

“Her condition is so bad that her father can’t heal her?” He asked the Luna.

“It is.She got lucky when someone saw her jumping from the white cliff. Moreover, she’s fighting her father’s healing power. She really doesn’t want to live.” Luna Vanessa explained.

It’s over 100 feet of fall!

“Something did happen, didn’t it?” Luna Vanessa stated.

“Yes, Luna but it’s not my place to tell. I’m sorry Luna.”

“Is it something with a boy named Orion? Is there something going on between them?” She asked.

“Orion? I’m not sure who he is… So I don’t know.”

“Okay, you know I will find out at the end.” Luna Vanessa told him.

“I know Luna but it’s not my secret to tell.”

“You know I can order you to tell me.”

“With all the respect Luna, we both know you won’t. It’s not your style. Moreover I’m not the best one to speak about it.”

“You’re going to be a good Beta one day Aaron. It’s reassuring to know Sage can count on you.” Luna Vanessa commented.

“Thank you Luna!” Aaron replied, bowing his head.

“Even if you’re annoying right now.” She muttered.

That made him smile.

“Go to bed Aaron, I will finish cleaning the kitchen.” Luna ordered him.

“Thank you Luna, good night.”

He stopped at the kitchen door and asked: ” Do you think I can go see her? I mean can I visit Mara?”

“I will ask her father but I don’t see why you couldn’t.”
