Chapter 6: (1/8)
Twenty-one days have passed since Flumen city has to be placed in lockdown because of two Blood Mages. Most people didn't care about if the Executioners have apprehended or executed those two Blood Mages or not. They were more excited about the next tournament battle and the long waiting was over.
Meanwhile, in a faraway place. Inside an underground tunnel of a small village near Erbi city of Sungaria nation where the Blood Mages Guild was secretly built. At the table of twenty-six people. Etgar Revenmar, the founder and the current leader of the Blood Mages Guild, was sitting on the Guild Master’s chair and he said, "I have summoned all Masters here today because I wanted to personally give out this great news. I have broken through the Legend-tier and advanced into Saint-tier."
The other twenty-five people looked at each other, smiled, and said, "Congratulations, Guild Master!"
"Thank you all, Masters. I wanted to launch an all-out attack against the Mages Council. However, I would like to hear all of your opinions.”
Robert Weaver, level 50 of Blood and Ice Mage said, “Guild Master, I supported an all-out attack. But when would you want to launch it?”
“From level 51 to level 100 will take more than a hundred thousand years. It would be too long and I couldn’t wait to destroy the Mages Council. I know it would be idiotic to fight with the Mages Council at my current level, that is why I wanted to hear your opinions.”
“Guild Master, you have waited for over eighteen hundred years. A couple of hundred years more would not be too long, isn't that right? How about we wait until you reach level 60? By that time you will probably have created some new unique spells for Blood and Wind Magics. More importantly, if any of us here can also advance into the Saint-tier then it will greatly enhance our success in fighting with the Mages Council.”
“With my talent, from level 51 to level 60 should not take more than two hundred years. You are right, I can wait for another two hundred years.”
Any magic caster that can successfully breakthrough level 50 and step into Saint-tier can easily advance from level 51 to level 60 within a thousand years of training. From level 61 to level 70 is not that easy, it could take up to ten thousand years. Level 71-80 is hard, could take up to a hundred thousand years. Level 81-90 is very hard, could take a million years. Level 91-100 is extremely hard, several million years.
In the past, there were Mages who acquired extraordinary talents in magic training and became Gods within just several thousand years of training. There could be a secret to their rapid advancement but they won't be able to share as they have traveled to the other higher realms.
“Yes, the Mages Council still does not know that our Blood Mages Guild existed. We can spend the next two hundred years rescuing and training as many Twin Soul children as possible.”
A female Blood Mage walked in and said, “Guild Master, forgive me for interrupting your meeting with the Masters, but I do have important news to report.”
“Go ahead.”
“Executioner Jarevar, the one who had executed Master Eroth six years ago, was last spotted by one of our scouts leaving Timberun city. From what our scout had said, he was heading to Emberun city to speak with the King of Sungaria.”
Timberun and Graypost are two small cities belonging to the Commonwealth of Krorg. Timberun is located to the Southwest of the nation and to the East near Graypost city. Graypost is located close to the border between the Sungaria nation and the Commonwealth of Krorg.
“Harbek Jarevar… Very well. I will personally pay him a visit outside of Graypost city then. It is time for this Executioner to pay with his life for the killing of Master Eroth!” Etgar yelled out in anger.
"Guild Master, perhaps we should come with you." Andrella Whistler said.
"Not necessarily, Master Whistler. Oh, I have heard one of your pupils had successfully penetrated into the Mages Council."
"Yes, that would be Kain Bersk."
"Hmm... Kain? Was he the one that helped Nanya to escape from Flumen city?"
"Yes, Guild Master. Kain saw Nanya was trying to rescue a Twin Soul girl named Emelia Kincade. He stood by and watched at first but then stepped in when Nanya was about to sacrifice her life."
"Was his identity exposed because of it?"
"No, he…" Andrella summarized how Kain rescued Nanya and then helped her escape from Flumen City together with Emelia. Etgar and other Masters at the meeting nodded in happiness.
Robert said, "Nineteen years old, level 25 of Blood and Conjurer Mage, seventh-tier warrior, I will now declare Kain Bersk is another genius of our Guild. Master Whistler, well done."
"Thank you, Master Weaver." Andrella humbly said.
"At this pace, Kain will be another pupil that can step into Legend-tier at the time of graduation from the Mages' Academy. We will use our connections in the Mages Council to also get him an important official title. Any objection?" Etgar asked while observing expressions from all twenty-five Masters at the meeting.
As Etgar had thought, no one objected to his decision. Kain was not the only genius that the Blood Mages Guild had. There were more geniuses that the Blood Mages Guild has been heavily invested in and strictly trained to make sure they remain at the peak at all times. Their true identities were still hidden and not being revealed yet. Etgar could feel the destruction day of the Mages Council was near.
The distance from Erbi city of Sungaria to Graypost city of Commonwealth of Krorg is approximately a hundred forty miles. The distance from Timberun city to Graypost city is approximately eighty miles. However, Etgar was confident that he could get to Graypost city earlier compared to Harbek because Etgar can easily travel there using [Wind Walk] since he is a Saint-tier magic caster of Blood and Wind Magics.contemporary romance
