Chapter 197 Nothing Could Tear Us Apart
Samuel looked at the congee in the bowl, wondering how much she hated it and preferred drinking water.
"All right, just one more bite." Samuel said gently.
Ella took another spoonful of congee, finding it hard to swallow because of the taste. 'How terrible,' she thought.
"Good. Another one. Open your mouth." Samuel said, reaching out with another spoonful of congee.
She was speechless. "Mr. Shao, leave me alone! I can take care of myself." Ella shouted at him, rolling her eyes in the process.
Ella didn't want to see him anymore because he always made her angry.
"Ella, you are in no state to be picky. Stop acting like a spoilt kid!" Samuel grinned.
Ella was dumb for a minute.
"Don't you know how old I am?" Ella said angrily. A kid? She wasn't a young child that Samuel was coddling.
Samuel smiled, "Age means nothing. You are being naughty and picky, just like a kid." He extended his arm with the spoon full of congee one more time.
Ella shook her head. She was done eating.
Samuel pretended to agree with her. What a demanding woman! He was thinking of another way to feed her the food she needed, when an idea came to his mind. Without hesitation, he decided to execute it. He took the spoon and fed himself before setting the bowl on the table.
Ella looked at him, confused. Was he hungry? She was thinking about his intention when he hugged her and bowed his head to kiss her.
Samuel fed Ella the congee using his mouth.
This surprised her and left her speechless. She couldn't believe that Samuel had just done that. It was so disgusting!
Ella thought it was fine when lovers fed each other just like on popular TV shows, but not with congee.
Ahahah! It almost drove her crazy!
Samuel didn't release her who almost couldn't breathe until she swallowed the congee.
"Samuel! How dare you!" Ella was about to scold Samuel when he took another bite of congee, shortening the distance between them and completely ignoring her.
Ten minutes later.
Ella was forced to eat more than half the bowl of congee.
Ella was stopped in her tracks for a moment. Samuel stared at Ella, with a look of triumph. "Samuel, you can't be more disgusting, can you?" Ella said angrily. Surprisingly, she didn't feel like vomiting. "Of course, I can, I'll show you!" She felt disgust at the thought of it. But he was determined to keep feeding
Her until she got used to it.
Samuel moved by her side and held her in his arms.
"There are many different types of food for patients and the congee is not necessary. Samuel, you did this on purpose, didn't you? What do you want?" Ella pointed at him, her voice dripping with anger. "You're right! You caught me."
"Samuel! You ......"
Ella didn't finish her sentence because Samuel stopped her with a sweet kiss.
At the same time, he put his hand gently on her injured stomach wrapped with thick bandage, and stroked gently.
It was a long kiss giving him the chance to take in her scent. When he retreated, he spoke, "Ella, I'll be your guardian and will protect you from now on."
He swore that he would never let anyone hurt Ella, ever again.
Ella was surprised. She was moved by the love he was showing her.
It was very quiet in the ward, and Ella could almost hear her racing heart beating. She looked up and stared at him.
When she had woken up earlier, she had overheard Samuel say that Emma couldn't be arrested and that she needed a good rest. She thought of Samuel asking to be her guardian and couldn't reconcile this sentiment with what he had said earlier.
She didn't know how to answer him, so she finally closed her eyes and said, "I'm sleepy."
Realising Ella's hesitation, Samuel smiled bitterly and explained, "You don't understand. I told Emma that she was free to do what she wants until she endures the severe punishment that is waiting for her." He didn't just want to poison her, he wanted to do more. Emma must suffer much more than Ella.
Severe punishment?
"From you?" Ella sneered, looking at him.
Samuel nodded.
"Are you sure?" Ella asked doubtfully.
Samuel sighed and grabbed her hand. "Ella, let's make up. Don't be angry with me. No more arguing. I'm your husband and I'll always be with you."
Whoever it was Catherine, Emma or anyone else, he would help and support Ella to take her revenge.
She listened to him, but said nothing.
Is it right to insist on her own ideas when Samuel insisted on getting back together?
Why did she come back? For money? Absolutely not. He was the reason why she came back to the C Country.
She noticed Jane was envious of those children who were accompanied by their parents. Although Jane never cried for her daddy, Ella knew she yearned for her father's love.
Ella also wanted Jane to grow up in a happy family, with them both. However, she couldn't forgive Samuel because of his request four years ago.
At the thought of it, rage boiled beneath the surface. Could she forgive him?
"Ella, I know you still hate me because of what I did four years ago. I'm really sorry and I apologise. Can you forgive me?" His thumb gently rubbed her smooth face. He would do everything for her if she could forgive him.
Ella didn't know what he would do if he knew that Jane was his daughter. Was it necessary to tell him the secret? It was a tough call. She was in a quagmire.
After a while, she made her decision. She was determined to keep the secret from him but still
Wanted to make sure that Samuel wouldn't be mad at her after the secret was revealed in the future.
"If I lie to you again in the future, will you forgive me?" Ella asked timidly because she knew that Samuel hated being lied to, and she had done just that by not telling him about his daughter. Hearing Ella's question, Samuel paused, and then he said without hesitation, "As long as you don't lie to me deliberately. But even if you lie, I'll act at my discretion. But we can't separate again." He couldn't imagine the days when she was gone.
She tried to avoid him when he fell in love with her, which broke his heart.
"At your discretion?" Ella wondered what kind of price she would pay for what she had done.
What if he asked her to please him sexually? Well, she would refuse to do that.
Samuel noticed that Ella had zoned out, deep in thought. He suddenly squinted at her and asked, "Ella, are you... or have you lied to me?"
Ella didn't expect that question.
She feigned annoyance, straightened and tried to compose herself. "Nonsense! But, even if I lie to you, so what? Samuel, you've got to remember you are asking me to forgive you." Samuel was speechless.
Samuel wanted to refute her but he changed his mind when he looked at her. He wanted to please her so much that he would do and say anything to be with her again. "You're right. I'm begging for your forgiveness. Ella, forgive me!" If Ella said no, Samuel would have to find a way to make sure that she yielded to him.
"Okay!" Ella moved her body slightly with the help of Samuel to sit more comfortably, leaning in his arms.
The ambiance in the room lightened.
Samuel knew the forgiveness was conditional, but he was still happy. It was a good start to getting them back to where they were. "Good! Don't go back on your word! If you do, I'll find ways to change your mind." Samuel gave her an evil lopsided grin. O☐☐☐☐☐
