To Be Yours Again novel (Alec and Jenny)

Chapter 1279 Let's Visit Them

Old Mr. Faust was waiting for Alec and Jenny at the dinner table.

"I'm sorry, Grandpa. I overslept." She looked embarrassed for making the old man wait.

He waved it off and gestured at her to sit. "It's fine. It's good to sleep longer for better rest. Take a seat and have dinner."

The three of them took their seats and had dinner together. After dinner, Old Mr. Faust instructed Warren to bring him a box, which he handed to Jenny. "You're getting married to Alec. As his grandpa, I don't have anything much to offer. This is a small gift. I wonder if you'd like it."

She stared at the box with a surprised look. "Grandpa, this..."

"Take it. It's just a welcome gift for you. Just see us as your family." He shoved the box into her hands. Content copied from swnovels

She held onto the box and tilted her head to look at Alec. He smiled at her. "Just accept it. It's a token of appreciation from Grandpa." "Alright then. Thank you, Grandpa." She accepted the gift and thanked Old Mr. Faust.

"Open the box. I wonder if it matches your preference." He was rather nervous. He picked the gift based on his taste because he was in the dark about Jenny's likes and dislikes. Now, he was worried that she might not like his choice.

She opened the box to find a diamond bracelet lying in it. She was no expert in jewelry, but from the looks of it, the bracelet seemed extraordinarily luxurious and exquisite. She felt sorry for not preparing any gift for Old Mr. Faust. "Grandpa, this is too expensive."

"You're soon to be Mrs. Faust, and you are worth all the expensive stuff on earth." He would have chosen something other than the diamond bracelet if he could find a better gift. In his eyes, the diamond bracelet was not the most fitting for a lovely lady like Jenny. She was touched by the gift as she covered the box. "Thank you, Grandpa. I love it."

"Good. Live happily with Alec, and hopefully, I'll soon have grandchildren to play with," he poked fun at her, but he secretly wished he could make it to that day.

Jenny instantly blushed. Alec pulled her into a hug and said to Old Mr. Faust, "Grandpa, don't worry. I'll do my best."

"Alec Faust!" She glared at him playfully. "You're so unserious."

Old Mr. Faust was happy to see them in love. After chatting with them in the living room, he went to rest in his bedroom. Meanwhile, Jenny was energized after the long nap. "Let's go out for a walk. We're leaving Parrington tomorrow." "Sure." Alec never refused Jenny's requests. They left the Old Mansion in a car. He asked, "Where are we going?"

She thought hard about any unfinished business in Parrington. Soon, she had something in mind.

"Let's visit Lilian and Justin! I wonder how they're doing. We haven't been in touch for a while," she suggested. Lilian and Justin were orphans she rescued from Clearwater Village. Their parents perished in an earthquake, so she found the poor kids an adoptive family. After that, she never visited the siblings, and she had no idea about their lives with their adoptive parents.

She was riddled with guilt, thinking she should have visited them more often. If they were struggling under the adoptive parents, she would at least notice it right away. Alec knew she felt troubled. He agreed to the idea and drove to the address that he had pulled up.
